  1. Yeah, originally I think Tunnel Rat was slated to be a Commando release and COBRA Commander was going to be a soldier. When they couldn't get all of CC's gear into the Soldier packaging, they swapped 'em, but evidently didn't recode some of the UPC bar code price points! Oops. Justin
  2. As folks have already said, Wet Suit was announced at the San Diego ComicCon, and there have been quite a few pictures of him floating around. Gung Ho was announced in a recent newsletter (but no actual figure pictures have been shown, only concept art). Flint was mentioned as an aside by a Joe staff member at the Comic Con, but is still pretty much just a rumor right now. Nothing on Flint has been confirmed at this point. Justin
  3. If so, check out Sigma 6 Central. We got our grubby mitts on a ton of package art for both scales of Sigma 6, so we've relaunched the Artwork Section. Some fantastic art that you see on the packages of all of your favorite toys. Check it out, and let us know if you like it and want some wallpapers made up or something... Justin
  4. The hits just keep on coming... for once I'm keeping my promise of more reliable updates. Episode Eleven Check it out and enjoy! One more episode left... Justin
  5. I know everyone has been patient, and I swear from here on out, chapters will be updated regularly (bi-weekly) until the end. Episode Nine is up! Let me know what you think, as always... Justin
  6. Hey, guys! I managed to get some clips for Episode 3, which have now been posted in the Episode Synopsis. Anyone who hasn't seen this episode, do yourself a favor and at least check out the clips! This was the best Sigma 6 cartoon aired yet, and had some fantastic action sequences! You won't be sorry... I'm also working on getting some clips together for Episode 2 as well (thanks to Fred of JBL!) Season Two's starting off strong! Justin
  7. Hey, guys...I know it's been slow going at General's Joes lately...I've been working a lot, so the dio's been delayed a bit (but the next chapter should be up in the next few days). There hasn't been much new Joe product to cover, so I've decided to review the three-volume Reference Guides produced by Ron Conner and Derek Anderson of Back in the Day Toys. These are some great guides for new collectors and experienced collectors alike, and figured it might help out some folks if they got a little more information on them. Check out the review here! Justin
  8. First of all, thanks to S6C forum member Spirit, who informed us that 4KidsTV was airing extended commercials for the new season last week. I was bummed that I missed it last week, so I made sure to set the VCR this week around, and managed to get this weeks sneak preview! In order to get it in digital form, I had to use my digital camera to record video straight from the television (no I don't have one of them fancy pants "DVR's" all you young 'ens do) so the video quality ain't great, and the audio quality is even worse, but I figured people might enjoy checking it out anyway. Mantis Mechs, new Ninja BAT's, Jungle Snake Eyes, and more other new stuff than you can shake a stick at! Anyway, click on the link to see the sneak preview in all of it's echoey, staticy brilliance! Thanks, Spirit! I'm fired up for the season to start! Justin
  9. I'm not from MA, but I live in Central NH, just a couple hours north... Justin
  10. Is that you're site?.. If so I love the reviews, keep up the great work!! oh man, I hope thats a early proto of shipwreck cause I do not like how he looks! Yep, that's my site...thanks, Glad you like the reviews! Justin
  11. Soooo.... Sigma 6 Central got their grubby little mitts on a few early samples and decided to spread the wealth! First of all: Kamakura: Airglide Ninja And good ole Timber, Snake Eyes' best friend. We're also going to have a BIG contest announcement within the next 24 hours, so stay tuned.... Justin
  12. Awesome, glad to hear it! As much as I hate to admit it, Arctic Duke and Sigma Strike Duke are both fantastic figures, even if they are just Duke rehashes...character issues aside, I've really loved just about every version of Duke that's come out...as much as I don't want to promote Duke over-use, it's tough to ignore how cool these figures are. At the moment, yeah. Retailers want good guy figures, so those tend to get packed heavier in cases (though just barely), so sometimes the COBRA's end up slightly less prevelant. CC, I've heard, can be hard to find, and with the new one coming out this fall, he may get even tougher to locate, since I don't imagine they'd continue re-releasing the old version once he's on shelves. Destro may be tough to locate now, but I'm sure he'll get easier as the new wave gets more market saturation. Justin
  13. Yeah, if you count Hasbro reps at the Joe Con and SDCC as reliable (which I do, regardless of the fans who seem to think they just lie at the drop of the hat just for the heck of it)... It was also said that they would not want to do The Baroness if they could not make her totally show accurate, and let's face it, a generic female head with just goggles or glasses as the only discriminating effect would be pretty lame. Try to think outside of being a collector for a moment...think about being a little boy and not really knowing all that we know about these character's histories...if you saw a Baroness and Scarlett that looked almost identical with the exception of goggles and glasses, would you buy it? Heck, would you buy an 8" girl figure anyway, considering how close to "Barbie" and "Bratz" they are? One of the main problems we suffer from is the assumption that the thousands of kids or regular consumers out there think like we do. They don't. They don't spend hours on message boards talking about this stuff, they don't know the intricate "ins and outs" of the G.I. Joe or Sigma 6 mythos. They just walk in stores and buy what their young boys want, which I will tell you right now, nine times out of ten, is NOT a "girl" figure. I think Hasbro is VERY serious about wanting to produce a Scarlett figure...but they have to make the finances work. And I don't think making a generic female figure and ripping off two or three different characters using one mold is a solution, either, because they want to make figures that are cartoon accurate so the kids can identify them as such. Justin
  14. They are a b*tch to find because they are under-produced, not because they sell well. They are under produced because Toy companies (all of them, not just Hasbro) have decades of market research saying that young boys do not like to purchase female figures. The original Joe line had like 8 or 9 female figures in it's TWELVE year history. Transformers had ZERO until Beast Wars, 15 years after G1 began. Sigma 6 figures cost $100,000 or more to create the tooling, so you can be certain that Hasbro will make absolutely sure that they will make their money back before they produce one. Store exclusives will not solve the problem because they will make the item even MORE limited, meaning it will make even less money. Same with the mail away theory. I do know IF Hasbro can find a way to make Scarlett, they definitely will. Everyone on the design team is dying to get her in plastic. Justin
