  1. And here I thought no one could phone-in a Star Trek license quite like Diamond Select, but Playmates appears to be giving it a shot!
  2. It's finally here and it's majestic! Packed really well (Haslab could take some notes). Quality is outstanding - hefty, rigid plastic that looks like it could stand up to some real play. I'm talking eighties-era heavy duty. It actually feels beefier than that Mobile Command Center behind it. I wouldn't drop test it though because it might crack a tile. Everything moves freely (Small word of warning, the extendable barrel in the nose cannon needs to be fully telescoped back into place or it will slide forward and block the hatch. It's no problem as you can reach it inside the jaw, but don't force the hatch if it isn't opening). Tracks roll, but they're pretty stiff. Seems like they slide on most surfaces even with the mass of the tank on them. That being said, I'm ok with it because I think it will help them not get as saggy over time. Be sure to "exercise" the tracks though to keep them from getting permanently deformed around the bogeys. Can't wait to finish building my display around it. I can finally let my Mattycollector Thundercats out of the bag (box)!
  3. Well - I'm always excited for a new ship. I wish DS hadn't dropped the ball dragging their feet for so long on the Enterprise C and Reliant.
  4. And what about those of us that ordered from Super7 direct? I've still never seen another email from them since the purchase confirmation.
  5. I thought it was a great show based on even better books. I'm sure the figures will probably all be 6" so I may or may not dive in, but certainly interested in seeing them.
  6. Why didn't they use their digital face printing tech on these things? The figures themselves are fine, but the faces really seem like a step backwards.
  7. It's right there at the link - 100 bucks - so on par or cheaper than most other helmets. Pre-order placed. This is the best-looking Cobra Commander mask I've seen. So many of them are way too rounded and out of proportion. I hope the quality matches the looks.
  8. Whoa this is crazy! And right before they released the Serenity! I sense a conspiracy. :D
  9. I think of his PCU character nearly every time. He's come a long way!
  10. Thanks to the Five Below store I snagged a five-dollar Jinx and figured the obvious repaint was the way to go. I don't have an airbrush to match the original's blend, but I wanted to do something a little more interesting than the Club's choice of a straight-up repaint.
  11. Oh wow! I've never had a custom front-paged before (must've been a slow week ). Thank you! I should have added to the description, for those who just want to keep the Joe Colton figure as is, a little bit of paint thinner on a cotton swab will take most of his five o'clock shadow off and it vastly improves the look of his face. It makes it look less pudgy.
  12. Do I sound like I'm orderin' a pizza?! Haaaans! Pretty simple recipe: Dreadnok pack Zanzibar torso, upper arms and hands (which of course was a Storm Shadow repaint to begin with) Renegades Duke (V44) forearms and lower legs V43 Duke's thighs Quick Kick's feet. That was the trickiest part. I drilled out the lower legs and cut and whittled down the shins a bit on the feet and then just stuffed them up in there.
