i doubt either parent is alive cause the original question would've picked something up with all his crazy conspiracy theories. i think he would have come up with something like thomas wayne actually paid joe chill to kill his wife and shoot him because he was cheating or doing some illegal activities the wife found out about and she had to be killed but he couldn't just walk away without a scratch so he gets shot and bruce is a living witness to say thomas tried to stop the "robbery". but thats just "the question" if he was alive and came up with a theory, but who knows dc probably has a story if thomas wayne is alive maybe they will read this and steal it doubt it but hey who knows they pay guys how much to come up with crap like this.

Thomas Wayne was said to be havin an affair and forced his wife into drugs and orgies. He wanted someone to kill his wife, so he hired a thug to kill him. He also faked his murder so he would not be connected. Read that bit on wiki not too long ago

They killed off a number of characters in Marvel and they've done well thus far. They killed Cap who is an Icon of Marvel. Yet, the comics are still selling like hotcakes.
What I read is that The Black Glove is rumoured to kill Batman. Which can work in alot of senses. I mean the Black Glove could shoot Batman in the face with a revolver. Thereby killing him. Or there is the other way. Removing Batman's reason to fight crime. So yeah, killing Batman again
They killed off Steve Rogers not the Cap. That was my point Batman IS Bruce Wayne but Cap is whoever is dressed in blue and flinging a shield. If they killed Bruce Wayne watch DC readership drop when a new Batman steps up. There is certain characters that is just known as that hero. Clark is Superman, most people don't know Kal El but you say Krypton and they know the freaking man of steel. Thus Bruce = Batman.

Bruce wayne is batman no matter how you look at it. So if someone else started to be batman it may very well be the end of the bat. That would be like bart simson becomeing superman when clark/kal el is the one true sups. It just wouldn't fly.
i think its just a temp. thing for batman, and bucky is captain america now it seems to be working.
Idk I think Captain America is different. Bruce Wayne IS Batman but Captain America is known to be a scrawny kid shot up with drugs during WWII and becomes a strong guy throwing a shield. Most people know that but they don't know Steve Rogers from Bucky Barnes. Batman is like Superman or Spiderman, no one else can be that character for more than issue before readership drops. They have done that thing where someone else has been Spidey and people kind of...well they hated it. DC would be damn stupid to kill off Bruce.

at this point, its would not suprise me if the figure was released as an unpainted proto and the chase was a pack of paints with a wal-mart exclusive dark knight paint brush.
The Target exclusive is a special Harvey dipped in bright glowing orange and a special voice chip that says "Yeah we are scrapping the bottom of the barrel but hey you guys are still buying!"

Well I think most of us have very clean collecting and trading records and I doubt the not so upstanding collectors are going to want to post in this thread. Especially since its about them!

My local walmart has this display up that has like the crank and launch batpod and the tumbler with the batpod inside but on the side was a small selection MMs. No chases or Joker actually but there were several thugs (no joker mask but several other kinds), scarecrow and TDK and BB Batman. Idk if all walmarts is doing this but def worth a look.

i don't mean to be out of line here but it seems to me which i understand this site has to cover its self but it seems to me that the only real winner here is the scammer. we as a fourem can't speak up with out getting told not to post info about the scammer and the mods cant do much to prevent it. so my question is other than check around and all that what else can we do. If we openly know who they are or at least the sn they are useing on different threads? What are our other options other than not tradeing or selling goods on here
While I understand your frustration, you have to look at it from Jay's point of view... what if a bunch of fans in the same area got his info from the site and then lead a mob to the scammers house and then something happened. The site would be liable, so that's why personal info can't be posted like that..
What can you do? For starters be smarter when it comes to trading/buying/selling on line.. not meant at you personally, but to everyone. People kinda dumb themselves down when it comes to message boards a little and when something's hot and they want it now, let common sense take a back seat. That should NEVER be the case, it's money, whether it's $20 or $200, you should always be careful with it, that is your responsibility as an adult... plain and simple. At any other site or place, is someone told you they had something without you knowing who they were, would you just hand them your money, not knowing full well they can deliver on said promises? Same should be done here.
Now, what can you do? There's a lot, go to your local police dept, talk to them, see what your options are, if you have any info, receipts, PMs, letters, addresses, anything, make copies and come there prepared. Let them know about the Mason character, if anything they can look into it, or point you in the right direction... If someone outright stole money from you, woudn't you go to the police about it? Why's it different here online? I think that's the problem here, people think, "oh well, it's online, I can't do anything about it, I guess I'm out $xxx on this one".. um.. no? Instead of this being taken care of years ago when he first started, instead of it being $100 or so, it's come to this and it's waay up in the thousands, so it can't just be ignored anymore, he's not just gonna go away
The point of this thread is to warn people about it and remind them to be smart about trading online, it's all fun and games until DarthCobraJokerMagnetoLuthor666 runs off with all your figures and money.. hopefully this thread will actually smarten people up a tad to look into things before trading/buying/selling with someone that joined yesterday and has 1 post

I understand where you are comeing from the only issue with going to the cops is the different state issue. That and the cops in my town could care less about something like this. unless he is in the same county you know.
Mail fraud = federal offense. Tell the cops, the post master, or heck there is plenty of sites you can get info from about where to report mail fraud to. You can talk to the authorities. If TN can't do much then go to the authorities b/c they can def do something. If this is the same guy that is screwing people over on fwoosh then the cops really need to know and he needs to be shut down.

A good rule of thumb is never trade with anyone with a real low post count. The best is to trade with someone who has been on the board a while and who the other posters know. Sorry you got swindled man, this hobby has its fair share of jerks. I told a story on here a while back but it basically amounted to the comic book guy from simpsons making an employee of TRU get a new box of star wars figures from the back and he jumped on it like a hungry (and chubby) mountain lion. A little kid wanders up to the guy who is literally tossing figures out of the box right and left looking for that one figure he is missing and says oh look star wars figures. The guy flips and screams for the kid to get the hell away. The kid takes off running. I was barely a teenager at the point (around ten years ago now) but if that happened today i would have taught that guy to show a little more respect if you get what i mean. But this is the kind of crap we collectors are forced to put up with.

Hi I'm the Martian Manhunter, you can all me John. I was sent by your father to watch over you, of course we have never met until now and this show has been going on for eight years now but whatever I'm kind of like your bodyguard of course you don't need one and oh yeah, if I get too close to the sun I lose my powers but I somehow have a the ability to becomes a detective in the police force without any real qualifications so at least I can fall back on that. So if you need any real help I prolly won't be there but at the end of the trouble I will show up and give sage advice.

You know the thing about Smallville is that its not going to last too much longer. The writing and stories have gotten a little bit better than they were in the last few years but if these writers give a damn about actual story they will have to make Clark fly and wear the costume soon b/c he can't go around Metropolis saving people in his Daily Planet digs. As for the Legion I actually was thinking how dumb it would be to have the JLA in an episode and how it will never be handled right. But the episode pulled it off really well and its actually one of my favorites. I'm not saying go in to the Legion episode with high hopes but hopefully it won't be as bad as it could be lol.

Nope. No Ras. I see wave 4 as the end of Movie Masters.
The MMs have been doing very well, despite the nitpicking and production problems. Begins Batman and Begins Scarecrow were just as good sellers as the other regular figures. Besides this, I believe Pooda listed some info many pages back about the upcoming figs we should expect in the line, and Ras was on there. it was hinted we might see Ubu the decoy Ras as well.
Don't write it off, the MM line will have legs a while longer.
All i know is i hope your right this line is some of the best figures in a long time. Reminds me of the movie maniacs line when it first came out the attention to detail and everything was awsome. just like this line for us hero fans..
With the movie this far off (the wave 4 figures will be out around the one year point of the original shipment of wave 1) I highly doubt the line will continue further. Sales are lagging on the MMs as it is (I see tons of Jokers, Batman, etc) lingering on the peg. Figures being released from movie lines far past the film have a tendency to be underordered by stores and I'm sure wave 4 will be a pain in the ass to find.
Look at the Temple of Doom Indy figures as proof...Heck look as far back as the Power of the Force line of star wars from 1985. Those were released 2 years after Return of the Jedi, didn't sell well and now days are super sought after by collectors. Point being, the longer you wait the less desirable to the general public the figures are and the more so to collectors.
Which was the original point most of us "complainers" had. Strike now while the iron is hot instead of waiting until things cool down. But either way Mattel has made mention of moving into other DC movies and producing figures of say Superman and previous Batman incarnations.

Well now people should lower the complaining b/c we are finally getting some news thrown our way. Its awesome to know that not only are we finally getting some new figures but we also have some release dates. But when we have no new news for months on end it does get more than a little annoying.

i'm not saying that we should buy every piece of garbage out there. i'm just saying that if we keep bitching about the figure industry, people are going to stop collecting. several long term collectors on this forum have sworn off figure collecting all together. i'm just saying that there are alot of factors that no one really has any control over, and we should be understanding of that before everyone stops collecting and the industry dies.
The industry is never going to die and I don't think collectors bitching to other collectors are going to cause collectors to quit. If a collector quits (which only lasts for a year at the most) are most likely for other reasons. Hell I'm almost done, between work, my g/f who I hardly ever get to see anymore (b/c of my damn job), money (or lack there of), and Christmas coming up, I don't really have the time and funds to go out there and buy everything I want. But to be fair there isn't a whole a lot figure wise I want right now that I can actually find in stores for a price that isn't arm and leg. But I would like to see a few MM's come this way. But to be fair man, a forum is not going to kill the industry, if it did the video game, anime, tech, and fantasy book industries would have gone out as soon as the internet went live.

Yeah I agree you don't have to keep buying figures that you don't want to get them to give you the ones you want. If you keep buying every different version of judo kicking Batman all you gonna do is make Mattel (in there strange infinite wisdom) think that people still don't have enough TDK Batman figures and produce more and more. But as for your example I think Indiana Jones was a little different. The movie was kind of blasted on for being...strange, the figures weren't as received as well with everyone but the hardcore collectors. The line just couldn't hold steam.

we have to support mattel as much as we can or the line will end all together. we all have to keep collecting before things will get better.
I can't tell are you being sarcastic? B/c just blindly giving props to Mattel for doing very little with the line in the time between the movie opening in theaters and the after the DVD drops is just silly.

Oh thank goodness. Those look awesome. Finally we get to see some of them. So Battle Damaged Bats and Scarecrow in suit will be in January, do you think there will be a third figure rounding out the wave or is two it?
i dont think that this disscussion has upset anyone, but it gets a little tired hearing about the lack of new MM's, and why. i too want to complete this line, but damn...Yeah I understand but with the lack of updates on it other than the "WHERE ARE THE NEW ONE FIGURES?!" complaints its "Anyone seen a batpod?". Just not much going on with the line.

Yeah really, I think DC is slowly scraping the bottom of the barrel here. Next we will find out that Jor El was never Superman's Kryptonian father, he was just some guy who loves ice and is stuck in the Fortress having a waking dream and muttering about his life.
