  1. I seriously hope they do not replace the Joker with anyone else. Ledger did that character to the 9s. I hope Nolan just says hey we leave him be. I just don't think the public would go for it.
  2. I don't think WB is ready to do anything with Superman period. The thought of Bale's Batman running around with Superman or any of the other JLA just doesn't really appeal to me. The first to movies are too grounded in reality, I'm just afraid you're inviting camp if you throw him in with a league of flashy super heroes. This goes for his enemies too. For these movies, I'd have to say guys like Killer Crock, Clayface, OUT! Guys like Riddler, Catwoman, Penguin, (maybe!) Poinson Ivy, IN! I don't think we will see any of those villains, with the exception of maybe Riddler. I think Nolan will do someone like Talia al Ghul, Holiday, Hangman, maybe Red Hood, or even Hush. Someone who has not been done before in a Batman movie. Batman has a huge rogue's gallery and it would be really cool to see him take on someone like way way from the comic's past. Of course updating it and grounding it in reality.
  3. Well true, the scalpers are a big part of whats wrong with collecting...well they are a big problem with wanting anything popular anymore. That is very true.
  4. I agree with you, only new suit should be able to move his head.
  5. Mattel and Hasbro don't concern themselves with the secondary market because that is not their business. They produce what is ordered based on initial preorders from retailers. If you want to get angry at paying a crazy price for a figure, blame yourself or whoever is paying a crazy prices for these figures. If you keep your eyes open and just look around you will find what you are looking for. i agree. My point is though (and maybe this is just me) that we should not have to wait for new shipments of Dark Knight figures or anything DC related for that matter after the movie. They should have been part of the buildup in say the two weeks before the movie. That's the way most companies do it. They have a big push right around the time of the movie. You know that point right before a movie comes out where everything is related to the subject of that movie? Where you can't walk into a Wal-Mart or Target without seeing like Spiderman pillows, Spidey Cereal, Spiderman movie action figures, Spiderman everything...where you start getting sick of that subject? But maybe I don't have all the facts, like was the 5+ figures made in the same quantities as the MMs? Because there are still plenty of those, if they were I'm sorry I made a mountain out of a mole hill.
  6. Selling out isn't losing money but the demand is much higher than the supply (look at amazon which is selling them at way over retail) and then look at most stores. My thinking is that with the demand as high as it still is Mattel would want to capitalize on it. Because there is a lot of money being made out there on the secondary market compared to the standard retail. They aren't losing money per se but they aren't making as much as they could, I guess what I'm trying to say is why not try to make supply and demand meet a little more. And it is true that Mattel is not listening to its customers. If they were Two-Face would be wave 3 not sometime in 2009.
  7. I think Mattel has really dropped the ball. There distributor is atrocious, with the amount of money they pay for DC's properties you would think they would want to make as much money as possible. But it seems like they have lines coming to some stores and not to others or ones popping up in stores they had never been in before. The Dark Knight lines is still insane. It seemed like they were actually trying to make up for the problems with the Batman Begins line. They made collectors version figures sculpted by the Four Horsemen and made great looking figures. And then you can't find them and no one knows when or if they are coming out or where they are coming from. There is still $70 dollar Joker figures selling online. Unless some backroom dealing is going on, they would never make money off ebay auctions or secondary sites that are selling a new suit Batman for $30 or a Bale Batman (Bale-man? BatBale?) for $100. It doesn't make a bit of sense why some of there products never seem to materialize right or why no one has any actual answers.
  8. Bale said he would come back if Nolan would come back. And Nolan said he wanted to a trilogy. As for who the next villain(s) or what the next Batmobile would be is most likely not even seriously being considered right now. They prolly won't settle down to write the next movie for another year or so. BB came out in 05, TDK came out in 08, so im sure B3 will out in 2011. The crew is either taking a break and riding high on the wave TDK is bringing in or working on another movie (Bale is doing Terminator Salvation). This link sort of explains it: http://www.slashfilm.com/2008/08/02/the-tr...casting-rumors/
  9. Well its pretty scarce out here. I even went to Wal-Mart and asked when could we expect another shipment of MMs to come in. The lady told me the monday after the movie (July 21st). The 21st came and went without another shipment of MMs, so I asked someone else at Wal-Mart who scanned the peg tag and she said that this product is on order and it could be next week or next month before we see some more in. Just excellent huh?
  10. So they actually got them in? My TRU is pretty bad, there supply of MMs were two beaten looking TDK Batman and messy paint job Thug. After those finally sold they never got any more in.
  11. Does anyone know when/if the Toys R Us exclusive of the Batman and Joker or Batman and Scarecrow two pack will be out? The website looks like they never got it in.
  12. You guys think that maybe it could just be the prototype from Wave 2? Maybe since they didn't have any new MMs to show (and they had figures from both waves) they just put in the prototype for Fear Toxin Batman? Otherwise it is just the dumbest thing they could do.
