    Cobra Soldier
  1. Any idea if they will glow under ultraviolet or black light?
  2. The stinger got "cancelled" too. I was told by Hasbro that they weren't actually cancelled, just put on hold. The production schedule would have had the toys on the shelves at the same time as the movie toys, so they decided to put them on hold until sometime after the movie toy release so they aren't competing for shelf space. Whether that't true or not is another story, but it sounds plausible. We'll see.
  3. From Ray: "I'll wait and see... I will probably just get some of them. Anyone knows why Outback and StratoViper got canceled?? " The stinger got "cancelled" too. I was told by Hasbro that they weren't actually cancelled, just put on hold. The production schedule would have had the toys on the shelves at the same time as the movie toys, so they decided to put them on hold until sometime after the movie toy release so they aren't competing for shelf space. 4. Ours is bigger than yours...
  5. I watched it...someone please tell me what the difference is between this cartoon and Armada? They even used the same voice actors. Is it supposed to be a continuation? I thought this was a completely new continuity? If it is supposed to be new...they missed the mark. Is this going to be the new status quo for Transformers? "We have to find the minicons/keys/fill-in-the-blank....maybe the kids can help." And the animation...ugh. I haven't seen lip synching that bad since Ashlee Simpson went on Saturday Night Live.
  6. I would have to say Devil's Due should pick up the Transformers, in all incarnations. Growing up, G.I.Joe and Transformers were always my favorite toylines, comics, and cartoons and since their return to print, they've become my favorites again. We already know DD can be true to the G.I.Joe we all remember while still making it fresh, so I have no doubt they can do the same for Transformers. While I'm sure DC has nothin but good intentions towards the TF line, and I'm also sure they have some good ideas, I really believe scrapping their already-established history (and there's around 20 years of it guys) would be a huge mistake. Also, adding them into the DC Universe continuity, I believe, would do further damage. I'm sure they would be introduced to the DCU in a big way, and soon after they would be crossing-over into as many big-name comic titles as possible to the point where they would be just random characters in the DCU. I mean really...think about it..."Batman finally discovers the identity of Sue Dibney's murderer, and it's Optimus Prime! But can Superman and the rest of the JLA get to him in time to save Megatron from undue termination? Should they?" I don't want the Transformers to become just another super hero group. Their anomalous existence in the world is what makes them stand out so much, and what makes their presence so awesome. I mean, the Earth has been invaded too many times to count and the invaders have always been stopped by DCU heroes. I think the power of the Autobots and the Decepticons would be diminished greatly by throwing them into the DCU mix.
  7. Ok...of the two, the Hush Batman is the best. The only reason Hush beats out Zipline is the scale (more accurate to the rest of the DCD line). But for the best Batman figure ever, I'd have to say it's the Batman custom by Fire the Fly (found in the custom toys section of this website). It's a perfectly done mix of both of these figures. The right scale, best sculpt, and dark colors make this the Batman we all want to see mass-produced. This thing screams Toyfare exclusive (hey...you hear that Wizard Entertainment?)
  8. HI everyone! I'm really pretty new to the whole customizing thing...but it's something I'm very interested. Started out with a Night Attack Chopper Wild Bill, pretty much just a re-paint to better match the Attack Chopper. Working on a battle armor Cobra Commander right now (hopefully with a removable helmet). I don't know if I'm breaking any customizer protocols here, but I would really appreciate any advice on painting techniques (type of paint, painting method, etc) that will solve that d@mn chipping-at-the-shoulders/knees/elbows problem. I may not be able to join in on this awesome sounding project, but I can't wait to see the results!
  9. Ok...I must have gone back in time to about 20 years ago or something...I haven't been this excited about G.I.Joe since I was about 10 or 12! I think Hasbro has finally realized a fact about G.I.Joe that we, the fans, have known all along...the brand is timeless. The characters we "older" guys got excited about as kids will excite kids today too. By re-introducing the older characters with new "tweaks" (like the Crimson Guards) Hasbro can catch the attention of both generations of collectors. I'm already grabbing them up in duplicate...one set for me and one for my son! Keep it up Hasbro...you toy-making geniuses!
  10. Well I definitely hope we DO get a battle-helmet CC, but I hope it's a new sculpt and not just a helmet head on the current body. On a totally unrelated issue...here's a personal request for Hasbro concerning goatees ...GET OVER IT!
  11. How cool would it be? Ask Playmates how cool. I think it was their heavy reliance on all the "lesser characters" and their insistance of ignoring major players that caused them to lose their license to Star Trek
  12. How about ANY of the original cast in their maroon/black movie uniforms? They've been ignored long enough! (Kirk in his away mission jacket from ST2 would be nice)
  13. Saw the movie last night! Pretty good actually...MUCH better than the last one! BTW...did anyone else who saw it catch the name of the Starfleet vessel at the bottom of the list in Stellar Cartography? USS Archer. Kind of cool.
