  1. THat's like the number one thing I've been asked over the last two months. What I will say is that I have picked up the camera again and Joes are what I'm shooting, but i can't promise anything.
  2. Does the one you have end in 3322? Good to hear you're coming back. It's rough balancing life and Joe. For me it has been mostly due to the job. As for anyone that can make it, I just want to remind you all that this is definitely happening. If you're interested, please plan for it and clear your schedule on the 21st. It will be a blast.
  3. Hello, everyone. Hopefully there are a number of you that remember me. I used to be very heavily involved in the online Joe community, but with work and family taking its toll, I bowed out for some time. That time is over. I live in NYC and love G.I. Joe to this day. I’m sure that there are many Joe collectors and enthusiasts in this town. So I had this thought to invite some old collectors to hang out in the near future… then when I really thought about it, I realized that what I really wanted was to get to know today’s Joe community. What better way to do this than hit a local bar and TAKE OVER! If you live in New York, New Jersey… hell, anywhere that a car, train or bus can get you into NYC, then I propose that we hang out… ALL OF US! The Place: Foley’s (located at 18 West 33rd Street) The Day: April 21st The Time: 5:00 PM (Starting at 5PM and going till we can’t go any further) I really hope that everyone will consider coming. I’m hoping to show NYC just how alive G.I. Joe is… and make some new friends at the same time. If anyone is interested in who I am and how I used to contribute to the G.I. Joe community, just check out my website… Cobra: The Inner Sanctum I apologize if this post should have been placed in another part of the forum.
  4. I think I need to see pics before I get too happy about this. BAT Mech? Not the big Star Brigade thing? Or is it?
  5. That's funny but hey it is part of the costume.
  6. Very cool. i'm a big Deadpool fan and this looks great. Do you have any more detailed pics?
  7. I was in the same boat as a kid, I hated the Tiger force stuff but when I got back into it as an adult the Tiger Force stuff had a whole new appeal. Some are a little overwhelming but others are great. I hardly use these in my Dio's. So they don't really fit in with the camos I like to see with my other Joes but they always have prominent placement in my collection. The Flint was done remarkably well. The colors are muted enough that they work well. But i wouldn't want to see a bunch of brightly colored figures.
  8. The Tripwire figure looks really good. The Falcon works fine. I can't really tell about the Iron Grenadier, I can hardly see him. The Destro is just odd IMO. Cool figure though the current Comic pack wave is currently my favorite.
  9. Thanks guys. Work on 13 is underway as I get all the necessary sets put together. Man when this entire dio is done it's going to make for one heck of a long but entertaining read.
  10. Thanks, there was a whole lot of story to tell in this chapter. Answering a lot of questions from the rest of the Dio, tying loose ends and such. The next Chapter heats things up even more as the full scope of the Commander's plot is realized and the tension comes to a head.
  11. The wait is over and the result is a double-sized, action packed, Chapter that I'm extremly proud of. To see Brother's Keeper come to this point is a big accomplishment for me. This has become far bigger than I ever imagined. We are only two chapters away from the Grand Finale! I would recommend re-reading Chapter 11 before starting but it certainly won't hurt to just jump right in. Cobra is poised to attack as the Joes, on Cobra Island, prepare to face off against 10 to 1 odds in Cobra's favor. The clock is ticking and lives on are the line. Chances are slim and the action extreme in Chapter 12: "Red Sky at Mourning" Comments are welcome and appreciated!
  12. Appreciated. I remember the days when this board was the place to chat. A post like this would have 20 or so responses by now. This one has eight and I'm responsible for half of them. Is it a loss in members? Less members that enjoy Dio's? Or are these guys just being really quiet because they don't know me anymore?
  13. Thanks man, it's so great to see a familiar face. I know I've been absent with the family and all and I miss the good old days. Thanks again.
  14. Thanks, I'm working on photography for the next chapter in Brother's Keeper already but yes, it does take a lot longer these days. I remember back when I could dedicate an entire day to working on a DIO, now it's a few hours scattered here and there over the course of a month. However, as a nod to the fans of my Joe-verse, I made sure to taylor this story so that it works as a Brother's Keeper, Chapter ZERO. Try reading this chapter and then starting with Chapter 1 of Brother's Keeper.
  15. Wow, if I had a punch clock then I'm sure I would have had overtime for at least three weeks. It's really hard to judge because the time spent is often at the wee hours of the night. If I had to guess, maybe 80 hours total.
  16. I guess it's about time I put an update on the site but i assure you it was all worth the wait. A new Chapter to Brother's Keeper? NO, but that is in the works. Having a second baby slowed me down but i assure you that my absence has had nothing to do with me not working on some awesome Dio goodness for all my pals here in the Joe world. This Chapter works in two ways. One as a one shot that I've labeled Violentfix, Special Missions # 1 but also and more importantly as a part of a group Dio project on the TriState Vipers Forum. To follow are chapters from other members that in the end will work into one story. So without further ado, i give to you... Violentfix, Special Missions # 1! or "Cobra's Wrath Unleashed!" Volume #1
  17. Thanks, I'm trying very hard to give it the appearence of twilight and as the chapters go on and the Sun slowly comes up, the morning light gets a little brighter, until the sun peaks over the volcano of course.
  18. Thanks man, I really wish I could just do this for a living.
  19. Yeah it's a trade off, but in the end it will be a superior work of art. Also keep in mind that the chapters of operation Rapier were about 1/3 the size of current chapters and the sets were nothing in comparision. Very happy you enjoyed and I'm sure that when this is done and everyone has the chance to read it start to finish that it will be considered quite an accomplishment and well worth the wait. Thanks
  20. Thanks guys Hasbro really came out with the Night Watch set at a great time for me, originally the story was written with regular Blueshirts in this capacity but having another unique unit to work with really adds to the stories depth. (Also keeps me from messing up my Infantry figures any more than necessary with wear and tear.)
  21. Well, this was certainly a long chapter in the making. I think that everyone will understand why it took so long once they've seen it. I can only say that I feel the time and effort put into it truely has paid off. Comments are very welcome. Without further ado, i give to you; "My Brother's Keeper", Chapter 11: Forced Entry
  22. Who am I, I'm someone who has a real problem relaxing. If I'm not constantly busy with a project then I just go crazy and can't relax or sleep. It's always been that way. So I'm a musician Violentfix I'm a producer of local bands I'm a Regional manager for a nationwide Retail organization (I'd rather not bore you with a pic or link for this one) I'm a Chef at a reasturant named "THOR" in NYC The Hotel on Rivington I'm the webmaster of Cobra: The Inner Sanctum Cobra: The Inner Sanctum I'm the creator of the Tri-State Vipers (Vipers RULE!!!) The Tri-State Vipers I'm a Dio-story author Violentfix: Dio-stories 'But more than anything, I'm a Dad
  23. I really can't say anthing about the 25th anniversery collection because I've yet to hold one in my hand and see if they stand the test of possibility and balance but I can tell you that the "New Sculpt" line never made it into my Dio's because they were simply inferior to the classic Joes for a Dio-artists needs. I can also say that other Dio-story users that do use New Sculpts have told me how much they wished they never started because of the frustrations. (no names to mention). in the end, i will collect and use any Joe figure that reaches up to my standards. Hey, this topic broke my streak of silence, Okay back to working on Chapter 11.
  24. That was from something I read a while back, some kind of military action novel. I changed it and extended it quite a bit. Thanks
