ya i was afraid of this and went ahead and got them from coastcitystyles.com. theyve already came in and i cancled my BBTS order. to hell with gambling if your gonna get them. especially after i heard about wave 8 and thier lack of product. (though i did get my wave 8 months ago from them)

its a get for me cuz of the BAF. brimstone was kinda big in the 90's when istarted really reading. plus i lvoe the new 6 inch figs that have never been done before...its just getting them

DCUC is an AWESOME line, but for me I'd say no, not Toybiz's Marvel Legends. Mattel sometimes does the cheap thing and use the standard buff body on characters that shouldn't be buff which hurts the line in my eyes. Then there is the fact that too often they're happy to just paint on costumes instead of sculpting details. All that being said I really like DCUC a whole lot more than Hasbro's Marvel Legends....and maybe's Toybiz's last wave or two. well im more of a dc guy, but i did collect ml. toybiz marvel legends were great, until they got to the last few waves and they were articluting like every joints in the fingers and the figs looked never smooth in pose. but, if dcuc keeps it up, i think they will surpass them

i have mine too. the from kenner. i dont know but i realy love him. when i was a kid and as soon as i saw him in store, i wanted his figure at any cause. i loved his design and costume. now that i know his story and all, i think that dc passed on a great villain for superman. i mean a dude who knows kent and has kryptonite tentacles? this is just as crazy as a dude with a kryptonite heart. i hope he gets a treatment but i know there is a slime chance. when i saw that the long hair superman was made, i hoped even more to get a conduit. could be a cool figure. when was he mentioned in blackest night? is that true. i am at the second issue of it and i have the first issues of batman and superman blackest night. i hope he comes back, that would be awesome. well at least for me@loll@@loll@@loll@ it shows his coffin with his name on in the JLA satllite...

It's always easy to act like you knew all along, what was going to be in the speech...AFTER the fact! If what was "suggested" is what all the fuss was about beforehand, then why was there so much of a "knee jerk reaction" by the media to turn it into anti-Obama protest, out of some racist right-wing zealots, who hate him just because he's black, when all it REALLY was, was something the department of Education had "suggested" was objected to and was ultimately dropped? Like I said, given the climate of politics right now in America....I don't trust politicians ( most ALL but especially the liberal kind) and when we've seen all the garbage that these politicians try to get away with, nobody trusts anyone anymore and Obama is no exception. While in the midst of battling over an issue like health Care reform, during tough times like we have going now, and getting a lot of flak over it...to then take time out to prepare a speech to students, a rational person could easily question it's objectives, and consider something more deliberate rather than just routine. If Bush had done something similar, while we were in the midst of convincing the country and the UN about the need to go into Iraq and put a check on Hussein, and planned a speech to be aired to students, I'm sure some folks would have been wondering WTF is THAT all about at this point and TIME? you still didnt give any ref to what was changed. and those kids in NO? well they got a right to be pissed at the govt and the way things went down. but the issue with obamas speech...it wasnt an issue. just a bunch of people wanting to yell "socialist" and proganda!and quit trying to bring "the poor white male" card into this, i havent said anything about race on this. What was "changed" (if we're going to be this technical about it?) is that the assignments and homework (regarding what the students can do to help Obama)..was DROPPED! Was that really so hard to decipher, out of the material I provided about it? Changes were made in light of the reaction to the BOE's relase of the material planned, and something dropped is something that was "changed". Nobody really knew for certain what Obama was going to blab on about, so the OFFICIAL criticism was in regards to the BOE material, and not just Obama, but the media too the opportunity to blow it up and make it just mORE garbage about the right wing loons hating on Obama and protesting anything he does just for the hell of it, and as far as any "poor white male card" being o nthe table, you best read back over these threads and refresh your hazy memeory on WHO threw it down about how we're all making a stink about it, because we're racist. this is what im assuming your taking issue with In pre-speech materials that the Department of Education put together for teachers, writers suggested a classroom activity in which students think of ways they could help the president meet his goals. "writers suggested" key words there. also, what was the goal the pres was trying to acheive? oh ya, get kids to understand the importance of education and stay in school... what content was needed to be changed? it just seems to me that most had a knee jerk reaction to it.

We can debate the extent to how much "stink" was raised when Reagan and Bush spoke to school children, but there was in FACT "stink". This Obama speech was not even questioned until information of planned worksheets and "homework" was spelled out by the Dept of Ed. It called for such things as posters with quotes from President Obama and writing essays about "how I can help President Obama and what do I THINK about Obama. Asking our children how they can HELP you PERSONALLY as a President, and asking what they THINK of you now? It's this content of the speech and the after requests of the children that raised the parental eyebrows. The media took it and RAN with it, so to stir up more civil unrest and so people like superpowers can call people racist. All that content was changed however. Obama is a creepy dude, so he's not helping his case with crap like this. If he'd try to act more Presidential and less High School honor society student with an attitude and over-sized (and sensitive) ego, people might trust him a little more. all that content was changed? riiiiiiiiight...maybe thats what hannity and beck are feeding you...so me some proof of all this stuff, and not links to commentary by the such as talking heads

There's just as much of a STINK made about Bush addressing school children. Did you forget that? Was it because Bush is WHITE that people felt indifferent to him doing that, or maybe it was just a result of the way things are in politics now and everybody on one side thinks the other side is up to no good and trying to indoctrinate our children? Every child should be respectful of our POTUS and having him address them should nOT be an issue for which anyone (parents) need to be in objection to, but that's the political climate in this country talking. If the POTUS is speaking to the children about the benefits of their education and generic positive material such as that, then that's perfectly acceptable, but considering the opinion that folks (like myself) have of Obama and his tactics used to try and SELl his policies and push forward his agenda, it's perfectly normal for us to be leary and skeptical of just what all he MIGHT speak of, just the same as the left leaning parents were leary of Bush. I doubt it was because Bush is WHITE...but you go on right a head and push that silly "it's because Obama's (half) BLACK" assertion, as to why you think that people find him shady and corrupt. there was NOT just as much stink made about it when bush talked to kids in the classroom. 1. it was G H.W. Very good point, Rev. It's always important to ask yourself where information comes from, and what the agenda is of those who spread it. That's why even though I vote Democrat 85% of the time, I listen to Fox News as much as other more left leaning sources. Everyone gets their say in America, and that's a big part of what makes us great. The only thing that makes sense to me is to get your information from a variety of sources. Listen to the left, to the right, the center, your friends, your family, and maybe even once in a while to some homeless guy mumbling to himself. Combine all that together, and you have some glimpse of the real truth. yep, but its said when you hear people who actually thing places like FOX are "fair and balanced." and they dont even crack a smile

People have a problem with Glenn Beck because he is on a "Fair and balanced" news channel and is clearly right wing (of course so is the channel)People with differing view points don't like him for his own views, or because of the way fox news presents him as news. To me i think it's obvious he is a commentator, his program is there for a reason, it gets ratings. Fox news when doing actual reporting can be fair and balanced but a lot of moderates and of course lefties don't like the amount of strong conservatives on there. I think they had to go this way to stand out from the obvious left on the other side. I do however wish there were more balance. I loved the old setup with Hannity and Combs, and while i like Hannity even the American panels are usually heavily slanted towards the right. I believe that if you put a real conservative and a real liberal side by side the conservative is going to win, why not use that formula again? Then again i've also known red party line die hards that hate beck cause he is not party line repub enough! so what do i know. As for the media, it's been that way a long time, and it's changing finely but i think we need to realize that there are dangers in the new age as well. Sources are important and these threads are demonstrating that the net, while spreading facts, also spreads lies if they aren't checked into. We all need to be careful. i liked hannity and colmes but colmes was simply cannon fodder for hannity

That still doesn't suggest a defense for the lies said about Obama, it still just supports taking things with a grain of salt and enforces the already mention act of fact checking on these things as they come up. My contention in all of it, is that i felt BUSH was criticized and LIED about in the press and the media quite a bit more than what Obama has had to deal with and even Clinton, because i truly believe that the majority of the press are Liberals and will sway their commentary to either DAMAGE one guy and do some PR control for another, depending on their politics. Doesn't mean i think they never received bad press and have lies spread about them at all. Canada is already one of the more socialist nations in the Western sphere. Your liberals are conservatives by our measure. What you are doing is buying into right wing propaganda that simply does not want a popular liberal president and administration to succeed. The previous administration set awful precedents for the future with their conduct, and more information is revealed weekly. There was systematic denial and exclusion of appointed parties to the upper echelon's decision-making process.....a failure that cost the USA prestige and even safety in the long term. At this point in tine of Bush's first term as president, he'd exceeded the amount of vacation time for all previous presidents in a similar period. Obama has spent his time trying to make changes, to make a difference. It took 9/11 to get Bush back into the oval office to actually work for the country again, but even then he squandered his responsibility with the fool's errand that is Iraq. Obama is at least trying to bring about something that, if done right, can positively impact every American's life. I does not have to be done your way, or his way, its stuff that simply has to be done. The old saw is that if you focus just on problems.......you'll see nothing BUT problems. If you focus on the solution instead, regardless of who or what is casing the problem, you get the solution. Sounds like all you are choosing to see is the problems.
