  1. I used to have tons of 3 3/4 Joes and vehicles, as well as 300+ 12 inch figures in my collection. Unfortunately, I had to sell it all as we fell on hard times and set my mind to sell them how I would like to buy them. The Carrier loaded with Conquests, vehicles and the such set up as if in a toy commercial. I almost caused accidents (didn't mean to), and all my Joes were gone in less than 4 hours. This happened three times when collecting in my life. So now I just shop ROSS. Can't afford much, so I'd buy what I could afford, and what I thought was cool, and amassed a nice toy collection in the past 3 years from GI Joe 5 packs to Star Trek, The Turtles, and even Power Rangers (Since I like Japanese Sentai), and some cool Dragons, and even awesome sailing ships for under $20.00! So far so good. I'm very happy, and not neurotic anymore. My toys I've amassed are on Photobucket. I hope it's ok to put the link here. And almost half the toys from Batman to Narnia were from ROSS. Others were from Pricebusters, Happy Meals, old collection photos, or maybe Mall Sales. Also, My GI Joe 12 inch and Diorama Small Joes are long gone... http://s802.photobucket.com/home/SkyBuzz/allalbums
  2. I found 3 Combat Heroes two packs for $3.99 each, and a few figures from ROC. I picked up the CH, (Never thought I'd get them!), and roadblo..err... I mean Heavy Duty! Awesome!
  3. These came out about 3 weeks ago here. I just got a nice amount of my Credit Card paid off when I saw these. I bought four (gave one to a friend), and they STILL had at least 10 to 16 I think... I rarely buy star wars, but now I have 15 troops to pilot my pair of ARC-170s (Well, they look close enough), now all I need is one more R2 unit and I'm set!
  4. I made my own with RAH figures. Not as good as these, but not bad...
  5. Wow! You know, it was my 10 year old nephew who first showed me South Park, Video games, and the Internet. AND Chat rooms.
  6. I went to ROSS today to look for more Power Ranger figures, and found one, BUT I just happened by when they put out a six figure set called "Joker Squad". It is soooo cool, I bought four! It was only $15.99!!! The sticker says "Entertainment Earth Exclusive" on it. I looked it up on the internet. Never heard of it until now, but now for $64.00 I have 20 stormtroopers and 4 Sith guys! AWESOME! There were 16 more sets left after I picked mine out! A rare, but happy treat! SkyBuzz
  7. December 23rd, I found 3 Evolution Packs @ ROSS for $10.99 each! I didn't find anything, but when I was checking thru the Power Ranger selection, (what they had left) I found hidden in the back of them, Rebel Pilots (Tien Numb plus 2), Imperial Pilots, and a Jedi Evolution Sets (with Older Luke, Qui Gon, and a female Jedi). And going to the register, I went by an employee picking up misplaced merchandise. When she saw what I had, she dug around in the wheel bin, and pulled out another Rebel Pilot Set! "You want this one too?!" Awesome find. And Boy, these are great. Even the Clones have faces! Now I have someone to pilot my ARC-170s. I could hardly believe how EMPTY the shelves were. They only had P.R. RPM Motorcycles, a few Narnia Sets, and three or four Dragonball Z figures. It was a miracle I found those sets! I'm a Happy Camper... Happy Holidays all!
  8. If you want to see more pictures of some of the Narnia toys I have, just go to the review site BUZZILLIONS.COM, and select Toys, and type in Narnia. I also have everything in a Photobucket Account, but don't really know how to link it anywhere. But I have it tagged (Narnia Toys, Prince Caspian Toys, Aslan Toys), if that helps. No profit or anything. Just want to share the photos.
  9. The toys are showing up like gangbusters at ROSS stores. So far I have: The Castle - $18.99 Catapult - $4.99 Best 2 packs (Aslan/Lucy - Edmund/Gryphon) - $4.99 Narnia 3 packs (Edmund,Peter,Caspian & King Miraz,Telemarine,Trebouchet) - $4.99 ^ inch figures (Peter,Edmund,Aslan,King Miraz, Minotaur) - $4.99 each They come and go all the time. Check out your local ROSS Stores!
  10. This is what he looks like... I really liked the vehicle too. I had to pay about $60.00 plus for mine, but it was still pretty cool.
  11. I started collecting some of these DCUC Three-Pack figures casually. I'm a "oh wow...what's that?" Collector. When it's affordable enough I'll pick them up from, and when they're available at ROSS. I have six or seven three packs and they were $4.99 each. I'll get more as they come out, and open all of them. Sure glad I do. Supergirl in a three pack with Bizarro and Wondergirl had a badly mangled leg, and glued right arm which really was lousy. No other of these were left so I kept it. Good thing. Two days later, I picked up another set, and got three perfect figures including Superman! (Yeay! - Didn't realize Bizarro/Superman were alternately packed). Articulation isn't the greatest, but at least I haven't paid too much for them. I like them, but even I noticed that other stores would get get some figs and not others. Well, hit or miss, these were pretty cheap and I still like 'em.
  12. All you need is the Narnia Castle. TRU has it for $29.99, and it's $18.99 at ROSS' DRESS FOR LESS. Kinda Small for Destro, but maybe it could be one of his Summer Castles in Wales, or Northern Ireland.
  13. Yeah, I got into this line two years ago when I discovered ROSS Dept Stores. It was a shock to find such goodies in what I thought was a clothes store. The regular figures were $6.00 or $7.00 and the deluxe like the SE Paratrooper and Sigma Strike Duke were $9.99 as well as having the 2.5 inch line. I went nuts! I bought about 15 or 20 total to make troops. I Never really thought about GI Joe. The military troop factor, and the helmets (covering faces)helped make this like a cool troop builder thing for me. Awesome!
  14. It depends. A lot of the time, to save space I will flatten, or cut up the box (Front Cover, File Card), and just save them for decoration. Or, like when they had a bunch of 5 packs for sale at ROSS, I will save the boxes. I have 17 empty Cobra Legion Boxes, and 5 early Joe 5 Pack boxes. The only box I haven't cut up was my USS FLAGG. That's one I plan to hang up one day. I did cut up a Cobra Legion box to put my file cards in though (Gave it away since I put all my stuff away).
  15. Thank You VERY MUCH for the warning. I love Kaiju and Ultraman. If I ever see these I'll just walk on by... Even though they look AWESOME! Grrr...
  16. I went into my local Safeway supermarket today and saw a small display of Hot Wheels in a 4 tiered wire basket. The top level had something called Hot Wheel Mystery Cars. They have a black Bubble Plastic instead of a clear one. Is it because these could be for fun? Or maybe to generate sales? I bought them DESPITE someone (probably an unscrupulous collector type person) ripping open the edges. There were only four (all had small tears) and were only a dollar so I figured "why not?" This is what I got... Been a while since I bought Hot Wheels, and these little guys are pretty cool.
  17. I always, ALWAYS thought that the kid from the movie Sixth Sense should have played Anakin Skywalker. He had so much depth and emotion for a kid, it seemed he would have been able to pull off Anakin's troubled and muddled feelings of confusion. The other kid was ok, but like a lot of others, I was a little bit let down from the first movie. Especially when Darth Maul was so easily killed by Obi-Wan. Maybe he was surprised, but a Sith with skill I imagine, shouldn't have been that easy to surprise or kill. I'm sorry, but Jar-Jar drove me crazy. I guess the grumpy old person in me couldn't handle the over cutesy talk of his. The kid next me was so excited after the movie, it made me realize that this was "their" Star Wars movie with "their" heroes. That's fine, they have theirs and we have ours. Cool... Also, for the revamped trilogy, I DEFINITELY LOVE the Spacecraft combat. At least in the first and last movies (4 & 6) now, you could at least see the difficulty in their dogfights rather than slower movements (That's one point for Lucas in THAT department, and another for showing the Falcon leaving Docking Bay 94(?), and the Rebel's fighters' lift-off from Yavin's Moon to engage the Death Star). And finally, my personal comment (on the revamped version of my FAVORITE Scene), is "Han shot first..."
  18. Not in Hawaii's Targets... $7.99 for the 3 3/4 and I think $15.99 for the 6 inch figures... Our Target is pretty expensive. The Bridge is $34.00 and the transporter the same. Ugh.... I guess I have to wait for the discount stores to get them... :/
  19. The figures themselves are ok, but don't really stand out like all the older 25th ones. I really do love the articulation though... I broke down and bought the RHINO (I like Heavy Met.. uhh, I mean Rampage)and Cover Girl & the first ROC Baroness because I had neither in ANY version. Everything is getting so expensive, and it seems Transformers (w/Videos ALL OVER the place), and Star Wars (Clone Wars on Cartoon Network), have most of the attention of the kids, as well as Game systems. I figure "Out of Sight, Out of Mind." There's so many distractions for the youth nowadays, toys seem to be a quick fix until the next thing comes along. :/
  20. Well, I went to ROSS's again today. I found 4 Crimson Guards on Foil cards for the sale price of ...mmm $7.99......... ROSS had the compare at price as $17.00???!!! Is that REALLY what some stores charge???!!! Or just some price they chose at random? I mean, I was there a few weeks ago and bought 2 each of the TRU SRO three packs (Air Command & Destro's Grenadiers)and they were only $7.99 EACH???!!! I hope it's not a sign of things to come... At least the DCUC 3 packs are still $4.99 though....
  21. Really...? They charge HALF of what the majority of customizers charge... And let's not forget they are a company that needs to turn a profit to keep providing toys that we WANT but Hasbro WILL NOT produce. (Yes, I said we. It's we as soon as more than one person wants it, so technically it's also a toy we don't want?) It still amazes me that some fans who've been collecting for years never remember the key principle behind the price of a toy: more made = lower price. The production run on a typical Collector's Club item is *always* going to be a small fraction (perhaps 1 or 2%) of a Hasbro mass-retail run. So when some people complain "We're paying 20 bucks per figure for a 15-pack that should cost $8 a figure", those folks just don't get it. #1, it costs the Club more money to produce the toys than Hasbro, because of how small their production run is. Then, they have to sell each unit for more of a mark-up than Hasbro's (exponentially so) because there are so few units to make a profit off of. Also, they have to ensure they make enough profit to fund the next figure production, because unlike Hasbro they don't have an R&D budget built into their multi-billion dollar company. They're just a bunch of fans (despite what people say) who run a (some would say) fly-by-night company that comes thru a lot of the time for fans. So, yeah Admiral, you're 100% right. These are akin to customs moreso than a production figure. You can't judge the price of their repaints compared to the same figure at retail, it's just not the same thing. It's a whole different ballgame when you consider new headsculpts and the like... these 25th Adventure Team figures are just not something we'd ever see at retail, and *that's* worth a premium price. I frankensteined these a few years ago and only had to scrape the black lines off of 1989 Lowlight. Everything else was just taken apart and swapped around. It may not be the best, but it's pretty good for the price (if you have a bunch of Joes laying around probably FREE). The AT 6WD is the Rolling Thunder Scout Vehicle.
  22. I've been buying these figures ever since I've been finding the 3 packs at ROSS for $5.59 for a bit. So far only got Green Lantern, Black Canary, Green Arrow, the Lex Luthors, and Supergirl, Bizzarro, and Wonder girl. Well today, I finally opened two sets. Set 1: Lex Luthor... The two Lime Green Army Builders have loose legs, and kind of bent to the left. The purple Lex has GREAT articulation though... that's it. Set 2: Wonder Girl is pretty good. She has a lot of range, but looks a little strange when used in too many different poses. Bizarro is ok. Nothing Special. Supergirl was very cool looking with her Blue Outfit, and seemed more colorful than the rest. Cool! Well, until I found the right arm will break if I try to use it, and her left leg joint is deformed and it just looks bad if you dont hide it. wow..how underwhelming. I'm glad I choose the 3 GI Joe Command Packs rather than all of the extra DCUC 3 Packs they had. I'll try to get Superman and Supergirl again later. Hopefully they'll work better than the ones I have now. They do look good though... Check out the damage for yourself...

  24. You mean I can WIN using your attach-blade style??!! ALRIG.... Hey! Didn't you DIE in the FIRST movie USING this style??!!
  25. I really love how the characters are made to be. Their Beards, Gung Ho's Tattoo, and not overdoing it to make it over the top, or just too silly. They played it for fun, and it made me enjoy this much more. So... THAT'S what our Joe/Cobra Action figures were doing at night when we slept...
