  1. Rachel is also well known for her addition to the ABC series 'Alias' during its last season.....and she was in the middle of filming 'G.I. Joe' when her scenes for 'Star Trek' and as such had the red hair. She was allowed to keep the hair red instead of dying it black (or wearing a wig)....... Just some worthless trivia for ya!
  2. Its really up to you personally. I bought it when it 1st came out and I really like it.....but I do a lot of dio shots and like to build expansions to existing pieces. So for me (if I was looking to pick up another one), it would be a great buy.
  3. Sweet mother of God that thing is GI-normous!!!!!!! How much did it set you back??
  4. I had thought so too when I 1st looked at it......but it could be the camera angle.......or Psychie has been hittin' the Krispy Kremes more than the gym lately-either or.... @loll@
  5. Wow man...that is a really TIGHT looking custom.....BRAVO!!
  6. I'd personally welcome a healthy mix of the "classic" animation of the Sunbow series with a dose of the 'Resolute' style...both in animation AND storyline
  7. Oh I can totally sympathize with that Heathtown....to me it got way too bogged down years ago. My remedy was to read through all of it and then re-envision the parts into my own cohesive Joeverse. Now I just read it all to broaden my spectrum, but I'm not completely devoted to any 1 continuity.....y'know, except my own @loll@
  8. No trauma from me........my FLAGG is still VERY much operational.... #US1#
  9. I think that this (half) issue is going to pacify the fanboi base in terms of giving them that injection of 'old skool' nostalgia they pine for incessantly @hmmm@ That said, I can see both sides of the argument......but all the same, I'm curious as to where it *might* go from there.
  10. Larry has been very tight-lipped on this project.......he only admitted to 'the cat being out of the bag' on fb the other day. Should indeed prove to be interesting, especially to see if this is a 'one-shot' that will seal the past up permanently or some new way to incorporate the old Marvel canon back into the mainstream........ #US1#
  11. I found a couple more..these are older ones, but hey-snow is snow baby!! There's still more.......I've got to transfer them and then I'll post 'em up!
  12. I've got a bunch of them, but these are readily available...... Now with today's snow, I'm going to head out 1st thing in the AM to snap some more stuff for the current dio story I'm working on and couldn't finish last season b/c we ran out of winter @loll@
  13. They're all right......the JCPenney & Sears catalogs listed it at $99.99 back in '85, but there were instances (as noted in YoJoe.com) that it was $89.99 I *heart* mine more than ever now....... #US1#
  14. I take existing sets and build diorama's around them if/when I need to........depending on the dio story and pictures that need to accompany it.
  15. The server that hosted JoeDios (and other sites-not known *which* those might be) is gone. It is not fixable and thus has rendered JoeDios on a semi-permanent hiatus. Whether or not the site returns is up to the owner........ There is a hope that it may return, but for the present, don't hold your breath.
  16. For the 'Non-US' members.............I've uploaded it to my YouTube account:
  17. Holy crap, I hope not! That is fugly!!! Thankfully I've already 'customized' my own....
  18. AFS is right........this is simply a custom of the 'Action Force' figure 'Quarrel' (granted she was fashioned from the original Scarlett mold). This one's got the 'Pilot Scarlett' head on it, but the body has definitely been painted in the Quarrel scheme.
  19. Sweetie, don't attempt to 'preach at me'..... I've been a fan of this property since 1964, and I'm a woman..........in this 'land of boys', I AM the minority. If anyone wants to call themselves a 'fan', then they should do their damnedest to 'enlighten', NOT dim G.I. Joe's future......... kthnxsbye
  20. Which also illustrates how far outside of the public eye GIJOE really is. The assumption is the brand plays to its "strengths" when its campy, but that is not how aficionados of GIJOE see it. This why I have said, for a long time, that GIJOE is a very difficult property to bring to the big screen. The filmmakers are literally damned if they do or don't. One more thought here: the folks polled above are probably not kids. There's a potentially huge audience sitting right there, in the under-14 set. Now, I know my youngest step-son (13 yrs old) isn't a accurate yardstick to measure any of this by, all by his lonesome.........BUT....... He was not aware of the trailer until I showed him, and once he saw it, his excitement level ramped up considerably--more so than Transformers, which he knew about. He was telling me, in turn, about the reactions of his 14 friends to viewing the trailer and it was all positive. His exact words to me were: " Nobody thought GIJOE was this cool". Now, that's just 15 kids talking, so who knows what impact the movie will really have. Additionally, those 'true fans' dumping sh** all over whatever we've received thus far isn't helping matter either. While a vast majority of *fans* like pissing in the pool, they should show some restraint..........there's other people swimming in it @smilepunch@
  21. A-Freakin-MEN!!!! Thanks for posting this. The 'core' fanbase is waaaaaaaaaaay lower than the 'mass' audience draw. The movie has to be able to reach out past those of us who frequent the boards.......and I'm thinking that this movie is going to accomplish that in spades #US1#
