  1. I grabbed all of the Microchanger combiners during TRU's BOGO as well as the Warpath, Inferno, Springer and Slingshot blind bags. A local buddy of mine found, and picked up my wants from BH deluxe wave two: Smokescreen, Bulkhead and Razorclaw. Smokescreen is a bit fiddily, but has a good transformation. Roadbuster Bulkhead is alright, not bad but I'm not liking it as much as I thought I would. Ripclaw though is actually pretty awesome. I decided to get her on a whim after reading some good things from others who already had her. Transformation has enough variety to it to help me get past the "stand up" conversion. Also got in Arms Micron Final Battle Megatron and Jet Vehicon General. Megatron is quite awesome, MUCH nicer in person than I was anticipating. Paint work is very nice and its definitely the best looking version of the the voyager Megatron mold. The Jet General is not quite as nice looking deco wise, but has the benefit of being a great mold so I still think it's a good pick up. Yesterday though... I got in Planet X's Geneis and Xovergen's Masterarmor. Wooooooow. Genesis is nice. He is a dead ringer for WfC Omega Supreme. Top notch detailing and the light gimmick is really cool. Unfortunately the shoulder ratchets cannot hold an arm straight out type pose, but that may have been too much to ask for considering the weight of the arms. It's an AWESOME peice and incredibly imposing. The Masterarmor is a significant improvement over Xovergen's last effot, the Grand Patriot. Plastic quality is not quite up to par with companies like Fans Project or Planet X but does not feel cheap. While I think they did a better job overall, the Masterarmor still suffers from ideas that are not fully developed. Some pegs are just too long so the trademark shoulder cannons of Powermaster Optimus Prime stick out way too much. It's a nice piece, but probably not worth the asking price unfortunately.
  2. He looks fine. I prefer removing the added 6th member and just not having the chest shield on. Looks better I think.
  3. POST YOUR HAULS! I will have a pretty large one next week myself.
  4. Alright so the rest of the set has been revealed, thankfully before registration this year: http://www.botcon.com/BotCon2013/bc13exclusives.cfm Gotta say, I'm really underwhelmed and don't plan on getting the box set this year. Hoist and Strika are really the only two I feel like I might pick up at the show. Maybe Megaplex if it turns out better in person. Here's hoping the souvenir sets this year are decent.. In addition to this, the first two guests have also been announced: James Horan (PRIME Wheeljack) and David Sobolov (PRIME Shockwave and BW Depthcharge). Considering the location, I will be pretty surprised if more Prime VA's are not added.
  5. Yeah, I'm actually bummed Car Crash has not released yet. Got a stack at TFSource waiting for him to get there.
  6. I think they are trying to beat MMC to the punch. War Hawk seems pretty mediocre based on in hand reviews sadly.
  7. The thread was not in danger of being locked. But thanks for getting it back on topic.
  8. It's long been thought that the standard G1 Autobot sigil was a stylized version of the Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen head.
  9. It's not cancelled if that's where they intended to end it in the first place...
  10. The Frenzy/Rumble color debate never goes any where. Everyone has there own preference and you will all just have to accept that. That line of discussion is now done. Please do not bring it up again.
  11. I believe it is part of the Target exclusive giftset.
  12. Nah, I feel that there is a good chance of a Hasbro/Takara MP at some point.
  13. Action figure aisle reset is set for this Sunday, so Target's should be getting stuff in now and setting up the new pog for that aisle in the next week or so. (YMMV) On Monday I received: Arms Micron Rumble (Red), AM Stunticon Wildrider, AM Leo Prime and the two Arms Micron Weapon five packs.
  14. It's because Fansproject and Maketoys are pretty expensive to get in China for some reason. So the KO's are made for the Chinese market. Or so I have read.
  15. Target's have not reset yet in general but it should be happening pretty soon.
  16. The more time passes, the less faith I have that this set will be any good. Machine Wars was pretty plain deco wise and this reveal doesn't really inspire much confidence that these refreshes will be any different.
  17. Yup! Good chance I will grab one.
  18. Deluxe Air Raid is pretty great for a repaint. His modular weapons are pretty neat.
  19. It's actually been known for awhile that the combiner parts ARE incorporated with "Motormasters" trailer.
  20. I'm north of Dallas. I wouldn't worry about finding Grimlock - he is three per case and Target and Wal-Mart will be carrying the voyagers soon enough.
  21. They got some of the details right, but the original's head is more rounded where this one has those ears.
  23. For some reason I thought we had started a topic for this years Botcon, but I can't seem to find it. Botcon is in San Diego this year, and I am planning on going again! The first toy of the set was revealed yesterday, and its a new version of Machine Wars Hoist. I think he's just ok. http://tformers.com/transformers-first-look-at-botcon-2013/19402/news.html Machine Wars Hoist Full box set revealed: http://www.botcon.com/BotCon2013/bc13exclusives.cfm
