  1. What about Colonel Dr. Irina Spalko? I mean those cool karate chop moves.....receiving the Order of Lenin 3 TIMES no less....and the way she sunk her teeth into those "w"s. Sexy.
  2. Well obviously we know about the Last Crusade wave that is supposed to arrive this summer. Col. Vogel Elsa Schneider Dr. Henry Jones Sr. Grail Knight Indiana Jones w/machine gun Young Indy And Cooltoyreview.com has a list of Temple of Doom figures that include Mola Ram Willie Scott Short Round Thuggee Guard Temple Thug Indiana Jones w/Sankara Stones (Hasbro confirmed that this Indy will have his shirt sleeve ripped and should come with a sword) This wave will most likely be on display at SDCC For DLX figures, we know that there is also a Mutt Williams /w motorcycle and a Cairo Thug 2-pack coming out this year Everything else is rumor and speculation although Hasbro has confirmed that we will see in 2009: Marion w/White Dress Toht Dietrich Other rumors have mentioned a Russian Soldier 2-pack but besides that it's all speculation. http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/Hasbr...port_115100.asp This is Hasbro's latest Q&A with a lot of questions answered. Hopefully that will bring you up to speed on all things Indiana Jones No Deitrich Well, in my defense, when that post was originally made, Hasbro was singing a slightly different tune and Dietrich was on the short list of figures that Hasbro was talking about while the now confirmed Satipo wasn't even mentioned.
  3. Yes, Dr. Jones's hat and glasses comes off. Now I have to go back and stoke another pit for satan, cause I had to sell my soul to get my Last Crusade wave Chopz I wouldn't worry, obviously Satan rewards his faithful, seeing how you have the Last Crusade wave and all. @firedevil@ Seriously though, thanks for the info
  4. I wonder if the figures included with the TRU Jungle Cutter will include their accessories. If so, a good way to get a "Russian Soldier" 2 pack. Also, can anyone who actually has Dr. Henry Jones tell me if his hat is removable. If not, it would definately be worth it to get the "Tank Chase" from Target
  5. Bummer. K-Mart pulled out of Texas a few years ago. Oh well, just need Dr. Henry Jones, Elsa and Young Indy. They'll show up eventually.
  6. I ran across this pic on another site: Jungle Cutter w/Figures I'm now glad I haven't yet purchased the Jungle Cutter. Now I have a reason to hold off.
  7. Has anyone stopped to consider that this might be the retailer's fault? I mean could it possible be that Wal-Mart, Target and the like really over-ordered the product and now are sitting on a lot of surplus? What's Hasbro supposed to do? "Oh, I'm sorry Mr. Wal-Mart toy buyer, we're only gonna sell you 100,000 units instead of 300,000 units because we want to make sure the collectors can get the new waves of figures the day they start shipping." Hasbro is in the business of making money. It's the retailers responsibilty to gauge how many they can sell through. I'd like to get my hands on a Henry Jones like everybody else, but moaning about Hasbro and throwing a proverbial "I don't want to play with you anymore" tantrum isn't going to solve anything.
  8. Interesting. While most of the figures you mentioned as "confirmed" have been rumored and bounced around during Hasbro Q&A's, Marcus Brody being confirmed is new information. Do you mind listing your source?
  9. I don't want to sound flippant, but it sounds like bad luck of the draw. I live in the Austin area and I'm seeing the same thing. My take on what happened is that Wal-Mart ordered "x" amount of product initially and, because Indy 4 had just come out, the figures sold really well. So naturally, Wal-Mart ordered a LOT of replenishment product. And, of course, by the time it arrived, it was just about the same time that the Last Crusade wave was slated to hit the stores AND now that the movie is about 6 weeks old, the sales of the figures have slowed down considerably as far as the kiddies are concerned. I would say that, for the forseeable future, that Wal-mart may not be the place to go to find the new waves. I'd look for Targets that have low stock, Toys R Us's, and any other vendor that might carry them on a lower quantity scale. Maybe there's a KB Toys still in existence near you, maybe a grocery store (we have HEB here). It might just be time to get unconventional.
  10. Dude, you do know that Temple of Doom is widely considered by FAR the worst of the Indiana Jones movies, right? Just wanted to make sure that you aren't confused with some other movie.
  11. Just so you all know, Hi-res images are up for the Temple of Doom wave including Indy at indianajonescollector.com
  12. Rebelscum.com posts everybody's Q&A even toynewsi's
  13. Curses, my question got answered this week.
  14. So I recently came across an entire collection of Indiana Jones comics (God bless bitTorrent) and made a few discoveries concerning some of the less familiar "relics" that come with the figures: Spear of Destiny: Featured in Indiana Jones and the Spear of Destiny comic series by Dark Horse. It, of course, is the spear tip that pierced the side of Christ at the crucifixion. Included with Mutt Williams with Sword Dagger of Atreus: Featured in Indiana Jones and the Golden Fleece comic series by Dark Horse. This Dagger was buried with King Atreus, father of Agememnon, Commander of the Greek army during the Trojan War. In the series, this was the blade used to sacrifice the Golden Ram at Colchis that became the Golden Fleece. Included with Indiana Jones with Rocket Launcher. Battle Ax of Lief Erikson: Featured in Indiana Jones and the Sargasso Pirates comic series by Dark Horse. The ax had a map carved into it's blade showing the location of "Vinland", definitive proof that the Vikings discovered America first. Included with Colonel Vogel. I think it's great that Hasbro is pulling from Indiana Jones' expanded universe and I hope they continue to do so.
  15. Greetings Hasbro! The pack-in relic idea has been welcomed by the collector crowd and children alike. However, the dead-line for mailing off for the "special figure" is late October. Are there plans to continue with the relic pack-in and if so will there be any additional promotional mail-aways planned for 2009? Thanks again
