  1. Yup, I'd love to see an Alf movie. I've got some of the DVD's and they are just fun to watch! I will still laugh out loud sometimes, so yeah, I am down for Alf!
  2. that's only because they hired a mediocre sculptor/sculptors and have poor articulation/figure design. if they would have paid to hire one or two really good sculptors and a better figure design, the MK line would have sold like candy at a fat kid convention. not to mention the retail price for the current MK line is $17+ each. WAAAAYYY over priced for low quality action figures. when are they going to learn...you got to spend money to make money. we aren't mindless consumers, (at least not all of us) we want quality! Yeah they need to rethink how the MK figures are being handled. I want more video game based action figures, but I don't want them to suck. Plus the price is too high for what you get. I forgot they were so much, I just look them over and say "no" before I even look at the price tag.
  3. Yeah I live in a college town, with WAYYYY too many hipster, college kids, I hate dudes like this. He must not feel he has a purpose in life, he keeps saying how he felt like he had a purpose (to berate a girl at the drive thru) He tried to make it political, which seems to happen when people get all uppity about these sort of issues. I don't really care about what the owner of Chick-fil-a had to say about his own personal beliefs on the issue of gay marriage, just like I don't want to really talk about my personal views on it. I'm more interested in the reaction his words got. People up in arms about it, so surprised by it. That guy on the video said something about his sandwich "always tasting better being served with hate" when really I get nothing but smiles when I go there. Really? Hate? Just because he doesn't agree with you? I've seen FAR more support for Chick-fil-a then against it. For me, it has nothing to do with politics, it's just a chicken sandwich. The BEST damn chicken sandwich you can buy at a fast food place too. People getting upset that a company, who are closed on Sundays mind you, that this company has strong christian values. If you are upset by this, then you haven't been paying attention and are more likely playing "follow the leader" then believing your own beliefs. That guy is just stroking his own ego, trying to feel validated for his inflated sense of entitlement. I have never eaten there even thought we have one right down the street WJ, you are depriving yourself of juicy, fresh chicken served by kids who actually seem to enjoy their jobs. Go down the street and get yourself a number one combo. P.S. try the spicy chipotle dressing they serve with their spicy wrap with your waffle fries and you will be hooked. I have been on a diet for nearly three years and have lost 80lbs so I don't have fast food anymore except for salads from Micky D's or wherever In that case, I would recommend their grilled chicken. Fresh chicken always tastes better. Great job on the diet. But if you want to step out, ask for the classic chik-fil-a sandwich with no butter and it is less than 400 calories. Congrats on the weight loss, I know it's not easy. I would for sure try the grilled chicken, pretty sure they have salads too. It's just the quality of the chicken is so much higher then anything else you can get at a drivethru window. BTW Dragon, it's all about the Polynesian sauce!
  4. Mike buddy I highly recommend you try it if you have the chance. I don't want to build it up or anything, but it's the greatest single thing you will ever taste with your mouth, it's better then 5 superbowls! Waffle fries are good too.
  5. That is cool to hear. I would LOVE some Mortal Kombat figures, but what I've see on the shelves doesn't really look all that great. They seem kind of... dated? Like they are something I would see back in the late 90's. They just don't look like fun figures right now.

  7. Yeah I know it's been all over foxnews, I just never really read any of it till yesterday. I was kinda surprised nobody here was talking about it. I like foxnews.com, they usually have the way out there stories I want to read about. BTW, for the record, I didn't make this post to be politically motivated, if anything I don't see what politics even have to do with the issues. A private corporation's owner stated he has Christian values and doesn't support gay marriage. No politics here, just a group of people getting all upset over a company that doesn't share the same opinions of that group. How childish. Shame on that dude for picking on a helpless employee. He knows she can't really fight back, or give her opinion, she is on the clock, and during the stores biggest day to boot. I love when the guy says that he doesn't like hate. It's funny because all I heard spewing from his mouth was hate. The pseudo-intellectual arrogance of his argument is nullified by his own words. He is a hate hater, pure and simple. Moron.
  8. Seriously, you know if it was some big, tough looking dude up there when he pulled up, he wouldn't have said a word about it. It's funny when "tough guys" like him come face to face with a real man, they cower down so quickly, it's pathetic! Oh BTW I'm not gay... for some reason I feel the need to say that.
  9. Anyone else see this guy? What a massive jerk! I can just feel the smug, sense of self importance and entitlement OOZING off this guy! What a d*ckhole! Seriously, did he think he was going to change the world? http://youtu.be/Jg-jzlWcc0E Here is his "apology" video too http://youtu.be/9eAv-vEXJgk Even his so called apology comes off as fake! Glad he got fired too. Hope it was worth it buddy! I love how if you aren't completely, 100% for everything being gay, then you are automatically against it. Just too funny! I remember a few years ago I was at a party here in my college town, didn't know anyone really except the person I went with. Anyhow, it was being thrown by the guy who was also gay. We were sitting out on his back patio, all of us drinking, have a good time, and they started to bash on republicans HARD. So I spoke up that I was not only a republican, but a mormon too (this was before the days of Mitt Romney) and the gay guy just went off on me. How I was hateful and a biggot! Lol, really? Me? RockthePlank? I didn't say anything negative or that I was against him or the gay community, I was actually having a good time at the party and it didn't matter to me if he was gay or not. All I said was that I was a republican and a mormon, if anything I said it to show him that "hey, not all of us are how you think we are." The most hateful things I usually hear about the whole gay marriage issues usually come from the "pro" side, automatically assuming that if you aren't out there waiving a rainbow flag in support, then you must be a hateful person.
  10. Looks like there was "just enough" DCU sales to keep it alive. Why am I not surprised...

I am glad for people who wanted the sub, I just could not deal with Matty and DRI anymore.

    3. gruntcast

      gruntcast

My only real problem is DRI, this lowest bidder has been happening everywhere cuz of The bad economy, at My hospital i Work at they did not renew a doctors group that weve had for 20 years! Cuz they went for this cheap group. At least this is toys, where im at people are gonna die

    4. RockthePlank

      RockthePlank

My only problem is the way they try and lock us into things we may not want. It's crazy that a company won't let people buy it's product unless they agree to buy a whole years worth. Like I said, happy for those that wanted it, but there was no real threat of not having DCIE, it's all scare tactics and smoke and mirrors!

  11. yeah and Im really fine with just the six too. Maybe you can make some of the older team, but really Id be fine w/ just the six.
  12. dang man, that is an awesome figure! I had the rubber one they put out a few years back, it was good, but I didn't like the feel of it. Why can't they make something like that? Someone please give this man a positive +1, my stupid fingers hit the negative by mistake. Now my fingers will have to pay with a hammer bashing...
  13. Great! So by my count, they have sold three so far...
  14. Did I just hear next years SDCC exlusive? haha what about the Fat Prison Thug with removable arms? or Bullet Riddled Lee Iococca w/Bubastis? I wish I could afford the sub club......I really want to see what they're gonna look like..... There is no out of pocket for this sub. Yeah you have to "front" 37 on your card, but it drops off after a few days and will hard charge next year when the first figure ships. But don't listen to me, I don't want to drum up any business for Matty, especially for their subs. Only reason I am going into this is it's only 6 figures, just like Ghostbusters
  15. Did I just hear next years SDCC exlusive?
  16. Here is a link to Christopher McCulloch's blog: jacksonpublick.livejournal.com/ Yep, you read right, livejournal.com. They got it blocked here at work, so I'll need to check it out after I get home for some updates. That is the only place I ever hear any real news with the show. BTW, did any of you guys buy their shirts they sold off their website, astrobasego.com? I loved my GUILD shirt, but it got bleach on it a while back...
  17. really? is that anything offical? last I had read, they signed a deal for atleast two more seasons as well as a 60 or 90 minute "special". I think that the seasons come out 2 or 3 years apart.
  18. Boards are quiet today...

  19. Thanks for posting this Wheeljack, I love Venture bros, and I am guessing you are a fan too (Venture Ponies). I want to get into this line, but I wasn't sure since they only seem to trickle out with the release dates. This video has sold me on it though, and I will probably end up buying one soon!
  20. My only sub too. Anyone else get one? I know this line won't last beyond the six figures, so I am down for getting these. I love me some Watchmen and I am glad we are getting these figures. The price is a little steep, but I can swing $37 every other month for 12 months.
  21. Very nice man, it's great to already see Nick TMNT customs out there, very nice!
  22. Very cool man, I love the punisher and this would be a nice figure to own
