    DCUC vs ML

Dude at this point your comments are laughable, no one in their right mind would say any Marvel cartoon is better than JLU, and yes the Spidey movies did copy. Spiderman one is almost a direct rip, Spiderman 2 even more, Supes lost his powers in 2 and guess what so did Spidey. Seriously though, he is right about one thing, DC fans are like the Democrats when Bush stole the election. DC fans DO NOT stand up against the Marvel machine, which is a problem because we have the better product. Also one last thing, can anyone tell me which line lasted longer, Justice League or Marvel Legends?? you dont have to stand up for something good. look at it this way. people who have to point out facts, or parade around trying to crap on one thing, and up-lift the next are standing up for "something good" right there! if somethings better than the other, do you actually have to say it? if marvel was that much better than DC, then why put DC down? see, a lot of marvel fans would love for DC to be like top-cow or something....but its not. ive heard every DC hater excuse from the characters being too strong, to the fact that DC doesnt incorperate real life in to the books! i could care less if my favorite character's singing a well known song, or happens to be watching american idol...it doesnt make me like one better than the other. as far as movies go....DC has some crappers! marvel has just as many! crappy DC movies steel batman and robin batman forever superman returns v is for vendetta cat-woman the spirit marvel crappy movies blade blade 3 spiderman 3 fantastic four 2 x-men x-men 3 hulk ghostrider elektra daredevil howard the duck the punisher (dolph) the punisher (jane) man-thing I liked V. You forgot about Superman 3 and 4. They blew chunks. You can add the Wolverine movie to the list of Marvel movies. In any case, none of this has anything to do with ML vs DCUC. Started a new thread for the Marvel vs DC movie debate http://forums.toynewsi.com/index.php?showtopic=2063158 Look, for what it's worth to me ML was the end all and be all of action figures for a long time. Then the quality and availablity started to turn things and now I can't remember the last time I bought a ML. A year ago, all I could think about was Fin Fang Foom, but now I've got little to no interest in the line (probably because there is no line to have an interest in) While I would like to buy more DCUC, they are hard to come by especially since they don't sell them at Walmart (I did manage to find a Mr Miracle last night after searching for DCUC all year) My favorite is which ever figure I can find on the shelves... So I guess for me right now it would have to be MOTUC!
  2. This thread is mostly opinion based. We've got a nice list going thanks to pooda of Marvel and DC movies that sucked crappy DC movies steel batman and robin batman forever superman returns v is for vendetta cat-woman the spirit marvel crappy movies blade blade 3 spiderman 3 fantastic four 2 x-men x-men 3 hulk ghostrider elektra daredevil howard the duck the punisher (dolph) the punisher (jane) man-thing Now pooda, I stand my ground, Blade didn't suck. I agree number two is the best, and number three was terrible (Ryand Reynolds, stay out of Marvel) but one was the begining. Sure "La Magra" was lame, but it showed us vampires in a new light. Did anyone see Wolverine? I was all set to go the Friday it opened but I got a call from my brother and a 15 minute voice mail about how much it sucked, so I think I will wait for this one.

Common now Pooda, lets not say things we can't take back. If anything, I think Blade was just before its time. The graphics are a little bad and some of the dialog is rough, but it gave us a look at vampires we hadn't seen on the big screen yet. DC has its strong points and weak points, just like Marvel, so a hypothetical arugment of which company is better isn't very feasible since there is no clearly defined way of saying whats better. The figures, which is what matters on this board, suffer from the same affliction, so I think we should set some parameters that can be a little more fact based: Availability Character Selection Articulation Sculpt Longevity Quaility Issues Thats what I can think of off the top of my head, but I think these should be taken into consideration when making a choice. Ultimately, it comes down to what you want and what you like, be it Batman or Wolverine.
  4. I don't run into other collectors all that much, but it's kind of strange when I do. I dunno, just weird to see someone else who actually collects that kind of crap. I do remember when I was a kid I saw two Pheonix figures from XMen the Animated Series and I was about to grab them for me and my brother when some jerk collector came up and snatched them before I could grab her then he said something about need them more than us. So now whenever I see a kid looking I just wait till they are done.
  5. I would imagine that this would be available on Mattycollector. Egon is a core character so I doubt he would be an exclusive.
  6. For anyone interested in posters, there is a new poster out featuring Opt Prime that looks a lot like Shepard Fairy's "Change" poster for Barak Obama. Pretty cool looking. http://www.posterdistrict.com/?p=2124
  7. He is talking about this: http://cgi.ebay.com/TARGET-EXCLUSIVE-BATMA...Q2em118Q2el1247 Normally I can find a bunch on ebay, but I guess it's slowed down, it being two days before Christmas and all.
  8. Yes! I'd love a Clay Face! Don't really care for the poop-smear Batman, but I am excited about the rest. I didn't get any DCHS figures (I put off opening the DC flood gates as long as I could) so I will be happy to get a Lex and Supergirl!
  9. naw bro.....get ya money. the fig aint going anywhere. good advice!! No way! I had to get rid of my overtime anyway (company policy) Besides, there was a good chance my girl would have opened it and wrapped it before I got home. It was a Jason with no paint issues or BAF issues to speak of. I'll have to wait till after Christmas to open and see if there is any real problems.
  10. Firestorm is waiting for me at home, I will probably leave work early to check him out.
  11. I know that!!! This pretty pictures has nothing to do with the fact that a good number of Hawkmen that actually hit the pegs will have sloppy paint jobs, broken limbs, etc. I saw a lot of pretty pictures of the "shelf product" Aquaman too. I still received one with a broken right arm and two right hands. I know it would never happen, but I'd love to see one of these pictures with the globs of paint splashed on, or two right arms. You know, how a lot of DCUC REALLY look
  12. Honestly, I haven't seen a KB Toys in years, and up until this summer when I ordered Absorbingman and Doc Samson from the Hulk FFF line, I forgot it even existed. I guess the exlusive mask-off Batman Beyond didn't save the company...
  13. Ya, I would have just bought a set of the wave from ebay, but a lot of them have the Gold Capt Atom, so I pass. I'm guessing more people probably buy the regular one and leave the Gold one.
  14. yeah...i have to get them too. Ya, Starfire would be the only one I am interested in, but these are too rough. Luckily, I am not as big a fan of DC as I am Marvel, otherwise I would feel more compelled to buy those.
  15. Hawkman does look good. Nice wings. While I do really love the ML Angel wings, they really lack in the movement department. Atleast with these, you can either have him standing or flying. Very nice.
  16. See, to me, Wolverine has the extra edge to kill someone should they need to be delt with. Bruce's mind is his most powerful weapon, thats a fact, but he doesn't have what it takes to kill, Wolverine does. For me, Wolverine would trump Bats.
  17. As much as I want these now, I am just going to hold off. I've spent WAAAY to much money on myself this time of year. Cool of you to offer though degra.
  18. I've been waiting for TRU to get more Artemis in stock and so far nothing. I can't even find it using their search engine anymore. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3388224 Heres a link for those out there that are waiting for some incase you don't already have it saved. Hopefully it will be another one of those deals where everyone on here speaks up so we can all order them once they are restocked.
  19. Got Harley and Aquaman yesterday. It's the long hair Aquaman, but I don't care. The paint apps look fine in the package and I have all the peices included so I guess I am lucky. Now all I need to worry about is Firestorm...
  20. Cool, my girlfriend just called and told me they came but I couldn't look at them and that she has hidden them for Christmas. I said "Just let me look at the paint apps! I want to make sure its all good" but she assure me that she checked and they are fine to which I replied "You don't know what I am looking for!"... Looks like I will need to do some snooping around the house to check. Little does she know I am king of Christmas presents snooping and I will find them, oh yes, I will find them.
  21. Dark Claw was the bas Amalgam comic IMHO. Super Solider was good and all, kind of boring, same for Dr Strange Fate. I didn't read them all, but going back through my old comic books Dark Claw was one of the best.
  22. Welcome Slayor! You know, I was so excited about finally getting Aquaman and Harley that I forgot about how crappy some of the paint apps are... Guess I'll find out soon enough.
  23. I ordered Firestorm as well so I will find out probably sometime next week. In the mean time, UPS says my Aquaman and Harley Quinn are out for delivery today, so I should find out which Aquaman it is soon. I really don't care, I like the short haired better, but at the point I will take either one. Finally, after like a year of searching high and low (and resisting the call of ebay) I will be able to complete Grodd.
