Yeah, they will joke about it for sure, and I am totally for people saying whatever they want, this is America first and foremost. I know it was a joke, a passive aggressive joke, not a good joke or really even funny either, but still a joke. I guess I find it offensive as a lover of jokes...

seems to imply that this character is doing it, simply because he is Muslim. Ignorance usually speaks for itself, just seems and sounds a little racist.
Oh geez I was wondering when this would happen...Well if they didn't do these things and kill innocents I guess people wouldn't say anything..

Wondered when what would happen? In a thread to discuss a newly created Muslim GL, it was implied that this character, based on little to no info other then his religion, would be honor killing people with his ring and will crucify Christians. Obviously it was a joke, an unfunny joke, but a joke none the less. It's pretty much like saying "Hey, Moonkight wants to crucify Christians and doesn't tip" or "The new Allen Scott must be a pedophile because he is gay" Like I said, just ignorant really. BTW, I am a complete Republican, so please don't assume I am some bleeding heart, I'm far from it, just thought it sounded like a dumb thing to say, so I said so.

It may not be this character but the muslims are doing this so that what it has to do with this
I thought this was a thread to talk about this character, not what the Muslims are doing world wide, and again, it seems to be missed that it's not "the muslims" that are doing this, but infact a small, microscopic fraction of the overall Muslim faith. So I guess your answer is that is does not have anything to do with comics or this Muslim comic character. Just seems like the wording:

Ok, and what does that have to do with comics, or for that matter, a Muslim character? Would it be a fair for me to assume these Christians were over there, forcing people to become Christian or be murdered themselves? I mean, if we are going to assume extremist represent the majority instead of the minority, then you could pretty much accuse Christians of the same types of crimes, murdering in the name of their "correct" God. I'm not trying to make this a religious topic by any means, just seems pretty ignorant to say something like that.

stoked for some Tekken Tag Tournament 2 tomorrow and then a week later Borderlands 2!
And Rock, you had to get games i DONT have haha. And sorry for denying some MK this past weekend, i was drunk and re-into Borderlands 1 with a buddy of mine at my house. We ll have to do it up soon tho, still love the hell out of the game and havent played in a bit.
For sure buddy, and believe it or not, but they told me at GameStop (I still call it EB, anyone else remember when it was Electronics Boutique?) that I couldn't have any games you have, so there ya go! I will probably be turning in portal 2 soon, I think I've almost got it beat, been a great game, better then I thought it would be.
Yeah I was really drunk that night too, I dunno why I wanted to play all the sudden, I woulda sucked, but now I will eat your soul! I saw a commercial for BL2, looks pretty cool, hopefully they will have it out on redbox and I'll give it a try before I buy.

You know I mentioned this to my wife the other day, who is half Arab (she doesn't claim to be Muslim at all since it's not her religion) and she liked the idea, she actually seemed interested and wanted to see what he looks like. When I first read this, I really had that eye-roll reaction that most probably had, since it feels like it has "stunt" written all over it, but after thinking about it for a few days after talking to my wife, I am glad for people who would be draw to this chartacter. I thought, what if I had a little RockThePlank, and he will be a quarter Arab, how would it be for him to be drawn to a character like that? Like he could see the TV and think "that's like me"
So yeah, there are totally Arab people in this world, why not? Don't think I will be buying it since I don't really buy much comics anymore, but I hope it does well. Just don't be a boring GL, I can't stand John Stewart.

Hey guys! Turned in a bunch of games over the weekend and got a few new games for the 360. I picked up Alien vs Pred (not too bad), Portal 2 (as good as everyone says it is), and Halo Reach. Im having a hard time breaking myself of the controls and the game play of Call of Duty to play Reach, but it's been fun, and a trip down memory lane to say the least (I used to tear Halo 1 and 2 up!)
Speaking of trips down memory lane, I also downloaded Tony Hawk HD, and wow, I forgot all about those games. I used to love Tony Hawk back in high school, it's fun to get to play it now. It almost worth it just for the sound track. If it wasn't for Tony Hawk, I would have never have heard of such awesome bands like The Vandals and Goldfinger. If you ever played those games and are on the fence about this one, I recommend getting it.

Stopped at the Kangaroo gas station on my was back from lunch and got RE Racoon City on 360 from redbox. Anyone play this? I heard it got meh reviews, but should be good for a Friday night game. Anyone wanna play?

I downloaded Gothan Imposters on my PS3 a few weeks back and me and my wife took turns playing the free hour they give you and we both liked it. So last night I was downloading the trial on my xbox and my wife got excited thinking I had bought it, when she realized it was the demo on the 360 she called me a "cheap ass" I don't think she is too far off on that assumption.

Nope, not a creeper at all, thats what its there for. That game is so good as is the series. I still have to play mgs3 tho, i somehow bypassed that one. Need to get the HD collection methinks, however its still at a high price. The 360 has both mgs2/3 as a set from the collection but together for 25 bucks but i prefer my metal gear to be on playstation and they have each game separated for 15. such a quandary. Also i understand gripes for both systems, when youre used to one you start to like it more than the secondary one but i like both systems strongpoints i just have more established with the 360, like the gold subscription would be wasted if i was on my ps3 all the time.
BTW we should someday do up some MK if you still play it. Im still not sure if we ever got any matches going... i know i played with some people on here tho but only talked to one. hate the game based chat on ps3.. ugh.
I feel like we played a few games of MK. Yeah I still have MK and also Street Fighter, I keep those games around because they are good when you have a group over and everyone can just pass a controller. Good solid games. I understand what you mean, the differences in the systems is pretty minor. It was kind of funny to see how out of date my 360 was. I spent probably an hour between updates and downloads just to play amazing spiderman (yeah, not so amazing...)

Hahah welcome to the community. I feel like its a ghost town when i get on my ps3 and there are like 4 people playing and no one hits me up with messages or anything and i have a good 30 or more friends on my ps3...whereas my xbox its very community oriented and ive probably talked to everyone on my list a few times and i have almost 100.
Ive actually been playing my ps3 alittle bit more lately. I decided to start up and play metal gear solid 4 which i just beat and is insanely amazing. A week from now i m getting tekken tag tournament 2 for my ps3 since the game is using ps3 hardware i figured it would be smarter to get it on ps3 this time around. My ps3 was lacking in love so i decided to give it some. Still play my 360 more but i do love the potential my ps3 has. feel free to add me, my name is in my sig area... its the same as ps3.
Would I be a creeper if I said I saw your were playing MGS the other day? Yeah my wife's brothers play COD on PS3, and I perfer the system as a media hub myself (I love Sony electronics, everything is sony, TV, speakers, subwulfer, surround sound system) so I will probably always be playing that, but it will be nice to play with my own brothers for a change on XBL. I did have to go out and buy a flash drive since I dont have a hardrive for my xbox, but I was able to get a 16gig flash for $10 at walmart, so I can't complain about that really. I'm having a hard time getting used to the controller too, feels so bulky and the triggers throw me off. I kept shooting my gun when I wanted to throw a grenade or I would throw the grenade instead to shooting, but I will adjust. What kinda sucks now is I will probably end up getting black ops 2 on both systems.
I'll add you up buddy when I get home.

lol Yeah despite the race difference to me he embodied the Kingpin very well, there was no denying his talent and on screen presence he was very underrated as an actor. The last time I saw his work was on Two and a half men: "that kid touches my daughter, I'm gonna be touching you". Sad news about his death. RIP MCD!

hey guys, feels like it's been a while since I posted in this thread. I finally broke down and signed up for Xbox Live over the weekend since so many of my friends played on that system versus PS3 (I still love my PS3 and I use it more) Anyhow, I am now kicking a$$ and taking names across all gaming systems (Wii included if anyone still plays that, I will kill at Mario Kart)
I'm still Polar3000 on PS3, and XBL I'm PolarCola3000, hit me up with a friend request if anyone feels like playing some COD!

Not sure if anyone has this or cares, but it looks like they have all the Alf episodes available for streaming on Hulu Plus for anyone else out there that has it. I watched a few over the weekend, including when Alf hosted the Tonight Show.

I was saddened when I heard this news. Usually when I hear about an actor passing, I don't really care that much, people are people and we all die, kind of thing. This really caught me off guard though. Great actor, great screen presence.
For years, everytime I smoke a cigar, I call my wifes name, lean back, take a big puff and say in my deepest Duncan voice "Bring me DareDevil" I will for sure be saying that more often. RIP MCD, you will be missed.

Yeah Project ALF was a let down, I just kept thinking "Where's Willy? And Kate?" Screw it, I would have taken Jake Ockmonic, but there was no one there. I'm sure if they do this, there will be a Max Wright cameo. I wonder if it would be a continuation of the continuity, or if it would be all new, with ALF landing on someone elses' garage.
Please keep Mathew Broderick away from this, for some reason, I see him being the guy whose house he lands on.

Just seems a little small to me, but I guess I should see it in hand before making a final decision. Though I doubt I will get them besides Birdman and Fooey, I know Birdman is in 6" scale, but I wonder how big Fooey is.
He is about the same size as Fred and Dino

I will probably get a Hong Kong Phooey for my dad, I loved watching that with him when I was a kid.
I read a review for Space Ghost, the guy wrote that he had loose leg joints. I'll still get him, probably the best we are going to get. Would love a Birdman too.

I'll keep that in mind, maybe I will keep it for a while then, I tried to get my wife to play, and she likes the concept, but not her cup of tea.
BestBuy has Call of Duty Black Ops on sale this week for $20 on both systems, I am gonna pick up black ops tonight!
