  1. Your avatar is all kinds of awesome.

  2. Thor was "dead" during Civil War (there was that dang-blasted clone though), possibly why he wasn't included. I'd definitly rank Thor, Hulk and Sentry within the top 3. I dunno if I'd go with Sentry as #1 though.
  3. Stan Lee. The Ultimate Wolverine (Blue) was a Preview's Exclusive not Toys R' Us.
  4. Just read an article in Wizard where they were saying it's possible that some characters from as far back as the 70's could have been Skrulls all along and not even known it. I just wonder how many fans will be pissed, especially if this goes the way of OMD/BND and Retcons a characters or multiple characters entire history...
  5. Toybiz is now Marvel toys, I doubt they're getting the license back from Hasbro. Too much stuff planned for this year, like the Hulk Movie toys, the Transformers crossover toys. I highly doubt Marvel Legends is canceled. It's just ONE site so far, everyone needs to calm their nerves.
  6. I must find a use for "Plan-o-Grams" in my everyday life. Drats no more Marvel Legends. Oh well, so long as I get the characters I wanted to see made in custom form, I'm cool. Sucks I'll have to make my own Astonishing Beast and Holocaust (Nemesis).
  7. Or dance for that matter. Sucks when things like this happen. If I can find it, I'll post a pic of a Ninja Wolverine with 2 right arms. I noticed his predicament in the store and quickly snatched him up. In storage right now, but I took a pic after opening him, quite funny.
  8. To be 100% honest...I've been tinkering with the thought. I'm just trying to find the right base and I want to finish up work on my T-Ray figure, which should be complete within a week or so. I'm going to work more on him tomorrow.
  9. No, they haven't done an action figure of the Extremis Armor, until now...Marvel Select is releasing one (which I will most definitly be picking up). It's on Marvelous News' main page.
  10. First Wal Mart I hit had nothing (but they're notorious for not having shite when it comes to figures), all the second Wal Mart had was War Machine...and tons of him (the end cap was filled to the brim). Target had nothing, but Mark III and Silver Centurion (Another endcap full). Toys R' Us had all of them except Iron Monger (yet another end cap display). I have yet to find Monger. Is there some RULE that the Iron Man merch. has to be placed on the end cap?
  11. Reign of the Deadpools (NO! PICKLES! - check sig for my reference pic) Talk about a wonderful accident. The base figure is a LCBH Madman. I was actually using this as the base for my Ultimate Hawkeye figure (which I'm currently working on). Once complete it looked like crap. Absolute ICK. I decided to take a sabbatical from customizing and read through some of my old Deadpool comics. I was reading the Funneral for a Freak storyline and when I got to the introduction of "NO PICKLES!" Deadpool, I recalled wanting a figure of him back when I first got the issue. I figured I'd just use the Madman body for him and find a random head in my parts bin to pop on and use. The head is actually a dremmeled down (never operate a dremel while under the influence of alcohol) Marvel Legends Ultimate Wolverine. The shirt is made from a piece of one of my old shirts. The shorts are made of pieces of plastic cut from the bag my bed spread came in. Any suggestions? Creative criticism? I know I can improve, just need helpful hints. (EDIT: Also, just a note...The Deadpool's hands say "Dead" on the right hand and "Pool" on the left. Wasn't able to get a good enough pic of it.)
  12. Agent X v.1 (Working on another version as you read) Yes, the glasses are removable. I've noticed there are several Agent X customs, but hardly any sport his two-tone jacket and most of the time his shades are permanently affixed to his head. I love this character and HAD to make a custom of him. Base figure was Xorn. The idea to use Professor X's head was the suggestion of my roommate and I noticed on here that another customizer had done the same (more than likely thought of it first, would give credit, but can't recall the name and don't feel like looking it up). The upper chest cover is from an old Robocop toy, the zipper piece on it comes from LCBH Judge Dread (located on his badge), the "H" clip belt buckle comes from a Jurassic Park Ellie Sadler backpack strap accessory. The leg-fanny packs (as I call them) come from random pieces of plastic and utility holsters I found in my parts box. The jacket buckles come Judge Dread's arm pieces. The boot buckles come from left over pieces of Leonardo's sword straps. The glasses were constructed from pieces of an X-Men figure's (not sure which one) belt and Index Tabs (Wal Mart has multi-colored ones in their school supplies isle and they're perfect for different colored visors or pieces). The gun is from a McFarlane Chapel figure.
  13. Sorry for the picture quality, I had to use my Logitech Quick cam. I attempted to adjust Brightness Contrast in Photoshop to match the actual color of each piece... Modern Deadpool (Per the final few issues of Cable & Deadpool): The base figure was a Marvel Legends Moon Knight. The sheaths come from an old TMNT Leonardo (the Live-Action movie figure from years ago), the bullets (if you can see them lining his shoulders) come from a McFarlane Chapel figure's gun, the choker is from leftover strap that once connected to Leo's sheaths, the gun, knife holster and knife come from the LCBH Judge Dread, the handgun Pool's packing is from McFarlane's Spawn Classic's line 1 Al Simmons, the DP Logo on the belt is from a screw cover piece leftover from an entertainment stand I put together years ago. The straps on his chest are pieces of plastic cut from the bag my beadspread and sheet set came. The Circle chest piece is from a random X-Men figure's belt dremmeled down to get rid of the "X" and repainted. The little ninja hood piece adorning his head is cut from Moon Knight's hood, superglued on and dremeled down even to his head. The swords are from a Marvel Legends Deadpool (he stole them back shortly after the photo shoot).
  14. The thought alone gave me a chill. One of my favorite comic book storylines of all time! I'd like to see: GLA: Misassembled! Mr. Immortal (w/ Flatman, since a Flatman figure alone would be a rip off) Squirrel Girl (w/ Tippy Toe) Squirrel Girl (w/ Monkey Joe variant) Doorman Dinah Soar Grasshopper B-A-F Big Birtha Fall of the Mutants Just all kinds of possibilities. Power Pack One of the first comics I picked up as a kid.
  15. I don't know if he ever wore it in the comics, hell I don't even know if he ever wore it on the cartoon (of witch the figure was based upon), but my favorite Ironman figure growing up was Samurai Armor Ironman. I played with that thing so much that all the joints were loose and it couldn't stand on it's own anymore. I'm currently in love with the House of M Iron Man and the Extremis comes in close second.
  16. Ah, thanks guys. I had read Jakks picked up the license starting in 2010, just wasn't sure if Marvel Toys would be producing anymore of them. I suppose I'll just check clearance bins and eBay for cheap custom fodder. Marvel had said (when they announced the cancellation of LCBH) they were going to focus more on working with Hasbro. That is indeed exciting to hear that the LCBH guys will be working with Hasbro.
  17. Maybe I'm a shoddy Googler (new word, yay!), but I couldn't find any news on whether or not Marvel had discontinued their TNA figure line. I've noticed recently that they're nowhere to be found (at least in my general area) other than a few here and there in the clearance isle (which I'm certainly not complaining about). I know Marvel canceled the Legendary Comic Book Superheroes line, but I've found the TNA figures make for good customs as they're at the 6" scale and have mucho articulation. Anyone know?
  18. Scarlet Witch Just an absolutely appalling figure, it almost didn't see release, as ToyBiz realized this too. I recall them selling for upwards of 100 dollars on eBay for a short period of time because it only had a partial release and ToyBiz was unsure if they'd do a wide release as they realized they'd goofed up on her, but finally something made them release her. I think a Hasbro take on her is possible, if nothing else as her Ultimate form. Emma Frost/White Queen I highly doubt they'll do another, unless it's her classic look, which I wouldn't mind in the least bit. Ultimate Wolverine The right leg was a bit...awkward and the face was horrid. I don't think we'll see another Ultimate Wolverine in any Marvel Legends scale line. Ultron A non-chicken-foot version would be good. Preferably his Annihilation look. I think this is definitly a possible future figure for Hasbro and I wish them luck constructing him.
  19. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is official. According to a blurb in Wizard magazine this month, it's due out this year. They also said at least a "Portion" of the games storyline will have to do with the Civil War storyline. All the other reports I've seen online have said it would be out in 09, so I'm not holding my breath for a release this year, but right around the Holidays would make for a great present to buy myself, lol. I'm hyped about the Civil War aspect, perhaps choosing your character and side could alter the outcome of the Marvel cross-over blockbuster.
  20. I was with every last bit of your post, not necessarily agreeing, but at least understanding it... until I read that. So if I understand you, you're saying that with the rising cost of resources and a bad economy (things that you pointed out yourself), Hasbro is using resources and paying people... with the express purpose of making a line that is designed to fail? I've seen some interesting "Hasbro sucks and here's why" theories tossed around here, but this one doesn't even begin to make sense. They would have to be expecting one heck of a turn-around on a 'rebooted' smaller line in order to make that work... and pissing off the collectors by purposely destroying their old line doesn't exactly cry 'increased sales'. Sure, new people will come in, some of the old ones will stick around, but they would be losing people through the size change, and then more when they see a drastic quality rebound... that would just be outright stupid. Sorry, but I'm just not believing that Hasbro spent good money on the license so they could use it to drive an entire scale of figures into the dirt and start over. I can buy the complaints that say Hasbro just doesn't know what they're doing, but that conjecture fails on every reasonable level. do i know you "friend"? this is fact over fiction. I'm not sure if I'm following you here, but are you saying it's a "Fact" that Hasbro is making shoddy figures to drive away sales and eventually just cancel the line? Why on god's green Earth would any business purposly drive away it's buyers? No one person or company would do that. If they want to swap scales on us, they'll just do it, they won't purposly drive away our sales and lose money just to make a change. I'm not attacking you, just disagreeing. Ex. I sell lemonade, everyone loves my lemonade, but I want to cut cost and oranges are cheaper. Do I A) Make crappy Lemonade until I've lost the majority of my buyers and then make the switch or B ) Swap to making orange juice losing only a portion of my loyal customer base that doesn't care for oranges. I, personally feel a 3 3/4" line would have no chance of having the quality or detail that the 6" line has. I would probably just stop collecting at that point, as I hardly buy the Hasbro figures now (unless it's a character I like).
  21. Scarlet Witch, Hasbro's Ultimate Wolverine, Emma Frost. I kid. Deathlok Eventually we'll be seeing a movie line for him. He's one of my fav Marvel characters. Perhaps he holds a bit of sentimental value as he's the first Marvel Legend I purchased. Brown Suit Wolvie Best...Wolverine...Ever. My favorite time period in comics captured in plastic to perfection. Deadpool Yea, yea, he's got trouble holding his swords. I don't care, I absolutely love the figure. It's actually what got me back into comics and action figures. I mean as long as you're just displaying him he can hold the swords just fine. Face-Off Cap I place this Cap above all others. So well done. Astonishing Shadowcat I know there have been complaints about her, but I just feel this figure totally looks like she does in Astonishing. Noteable Mentions: Astonishing Wolvie (Apocalypse line) If his belt wasn't cut in half at his waste it would have been perfect. Astonishing Cyclops Hasbro did a great job with the figure, no doubt, but he just feels a bit...I dunno...stiff? And I always have trouble getting his hand up to the side of his head when posing him. I wish my ML's weren't in storage, I'd go through them all and pick out some more.
  22. Yea, my bad, that's who I meant. He used to be "Billy Gunn" when he was with the WWE. I'm working with the same figure right now on my custom project, which I hope to unveil at the next con (if I can finish it in time).
