  1. Yes, exactly. The new cartoon should be based on the comic. And I agree, G.I. doesn't look good anime style. They should resemble the characters from the comic. That not a bad idea-- to use the story from the comics. Maybe that will work. Sorry about the confusion. As a G.I. Joe fan, I really would love to see a better toy line, and maybe a better animated cartoon show. But it seems as if animation (in United States) is fading away, and anime is becoming the predominate culture. --Cobra_Saboteur
  2. Hi, thanks for the response. I agree G.I. Joe Sigma Six is really lousy. Also, I'm pretty sure the toys are pretty lousy too. But what about the idea of a better animated show? And coming out with a toy line like G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. But this time instead, include the cool card art (on the packaging). And maybe continue the story where they left off. Just an idea. --Cobra_Saboteur
  3. Hi, thanks for the response. I already know about the new cartoon. I was hoping that the G.I. Joe that we know and love-- from the 80s-- could be resurrected. What about the idea of having a better G.I. Joe cartoon. And also, changing the toys so that they have cool card art, just like the toys from the 80s. Also, I've heard that there is a great Animation studio-- that's suppossed to be the best in the world (Japan). Maybe they can make a better G.I. Joe cartoon, change the toy line around. Offer new distinct joes with cool art on the packaging, and offer a new cartoon in the process. Just an idea. --Cobra_Saboteur
  4. Hi, just wanted to know. What do you think about the idea of a new Transformers movie? What about the idea of a new movie based on "Transformers Robot in Disguise". Honestly, I think that a "Robot in Disguise" movie, would be the coolest thing in the world-- almost like Transformers: The Movie. And what about the idea of having the same people who worked on "Transformers: the movie", work on a "Robot in Disguise" movie. They could even come up with a cool soundtrack (like they did with Transformers: the movie). Finally, should the movie be hand drawn anime style or regular style? What do you think? Let me know. --Cobra_Saboteur
  5. Hi, just wanted to post another interesting topic. What do you think about the idea of a new G.I. Joe cartoon-- possibly on cable or network television-- to support the toy line. Personally I would love to see a new cartoon on "Cartoon Network". I remember as a kid that the toy line was supported by a cartoon and it made G.I. Joe ultra successful. --Cobra_Sabotuer
  6. Hi, thanks for making this a great topic and discussion. It's actually really interesting that most people prefere the old Megatron vs. Galvatron. Personally, there where some aspects of the old megatron I liked. For one the old Megatron was ruthless, cunning, and really diabolical. In the cartoon he demonstrated time and time again why he was their (decepticons) leader. But I have to go with Galvatron as my favorite character. He was actually a lot more ruthless, intellligent, and more powerful after he became Galvatron. Unicron actually gave Megatron a new body, and increased his power ten fold. One of the best scenes in Transformers: the movie, was when he totally atomized Starscream, for trying to take over as decepticon leader. The old megatron could not even generate enough power to atomize anyone really, and could only do short controlled bursts of power-- with his fusion cannon. Megatron now Galvatron with a new body that granted hin more power, and vengence on his mind, made his rule complete by taking out Starscream-- something that would never be seen in the daily cartoon series. Hands down I have to go with Galvatron as being the best-- even though Megatron (the toy's) gun mode looked alot more impressive. Galvatron was a lot more ruthless, cunning, and diabolical then Megatron could ever be. Just look at what he does to Starscream in the movie. But that's just my opinion. --Cobra_Sabotuer.
  7. Votes for your favorite G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero figure MOC. Here are some of my favorites: 1) Storm Shadow (1984) 2) Firefly (1984) 3) Alley Viper (1989) 4) Hydro-Viper (1988) 5) Baroness (1984)
  8. Hi, just wanted to know. When it comes to Megatron ,do you like the original Megs, or Galvatron from the "Transformers: the Movie"? Personally, I prefer Galvatron. Why? Because Unicron gave him a new body, and he was reborn. I also like the scene-- in the movie-- where he totally atomized Starscream for trying to take over as decepticon leader. It seemed as if Megatron --now Galvatron-- was more evil and ruthless. But that's just my opinion. --Cobra_Saboteur
  9. Hi, back to the boards. Just wanted to know-- when it comes to MOC joes-- where do you prefer to shop? In a nutshell what's the best place on the net to buy MOC joes. "Brians Toys". --Cobra_Saboteur
  10. Hi, just wanted to know. Where is the best place to find MISB Transformes Generation 1 on the net. How about "Brians Toys". --Cobra_Saboteur
  11. Hi, just wanted to know. Where can I find MISB Transformers on the net-- in a nutshell what's the best place to find them cheap? How about "Brians Toys"? -Cobra_Saboteur
  12. Hi, just wanted to know. Who do you think is the best choice to lead the Decepticons. Megs, Starscream, Shockwave, Unicron. LMK-- you also have to explain why you think they are the best choice. -Cobra_Saboteur
  13. Hi, just wanted to post another topic. O.K. here it is. When it comes to G.I. Joe-- the cartoon version. What are the most interesting G.I. Joe romances and couples. Destro & Baroness? Duke & Scarlett? LMK -Cobra_Saboteur
  14. Hi, I know this is a weird question. But would you like to have Snarf as a pet? Let me know. -Cobra_Saboteur
  15. Hi, just wanted to know. What do you think about Transformers: Season 2 on DVD? Or Transformers: Season 3? Let me know. -Cobra_Saboteur
  16. Hi, just wanted to know: Do we need a new G.I. Joe cartoon, and would it help the toyline? LMK -Cobra_Saboteur.
  17. Yes. That's correct. The Cartoon Network really would be a better place for a new G.I. Joe cartoon. A lot of networks don't really bother with cartoons, and television has really changed. Back in the days they had: Transformers, Thundercats, and even shows like He-man; and one of the most contraversial: Inhumanoids. One of the biggest obstacles, in creating a new G.I. Joe cartoon, definitely would be the censors. And the writers actually made the show really mature-- and even dark-- I'm sure the censors would really lower the boom on the network. And probably get it off the air. Also, what about the idea of the show being drawn in anime style? -Cobra_Saboteur
  18. Honestly, I think it probably work better on the Cartoon Network. Why? Well, it seems that animation and cartoons from the United States aren't really that popular anymore-- a lot the major networks like: the WB, UPN, and even NBC aren't really showing them anymore. So I believe it would actually do better on the Cartoon Network.
  19. Hi, just wanted to know. Do you think that Rhino actually improved it's production of G.I. Joe on G.I. Joe: Season 1 part 2. They actually improved it with the menu's. So what do you think?
  20. Hi, thanks for all of the great response. I just wanted to continue the discussion of a new G.I. Joe cartoon. O.K. for all of you that missed here's the question: "when it comes to G.I. Joe, do you think they should make a new cartoon to support the new toy line?"
  21. Hi, just wanted to post another topic. Do you think it's possible for G.I. Joe to capture Cobra's topic agents, and put them in prison for the rest of their lives. If you look at the cartoon the put Destro in prison, but then he broke out. Then, in " the Revenge of Cobra" Cobra Commander got busted, and he was sent to high security facility. However, he broke out. Wouldn't it be easier for the joes, just put all of the top members and agents, of Cobra in prison for the rest of their lives and just keep them there? Honestly, Cobra's always up to some kind of scheme, and plan. They also seem to be very, very persistant. If the joes put them all away for the rest of their lives, would that keep them quit? CobraSaboteur. Since your new to boards. What do you think about the topic of Cobra in prison?
  22. Great topic CobraSaboteur. Yeah I think your right there are subminal messages in some of the episodes. I just watched the episode "World's without end." And I think there were subminal messages. You know it's the episode that started off with G.I. Joe capturing Destro, and putting him in prison for the rest of his life.
  23. Once again. Thanks for making this such a hot topic, and great discussion. As far as working out, I think in anime style it may work out. And I think you're right it may not work out as a series-- but it may work out as a movie. I mentioned drawing the characters anime style, because in the past japanese animators actually produced serveral hit cartoon shows for american audience. Some of them being: Galaxy Rangers, Thundercats, and the Mysterious Cities of Gold. And as far as I can remember the animation for G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, was done by a Korean studio. To answer your other question-- and please don't take an offense-- I don't think drawing the characters like Batman would work out. The Cartoon Network is a great network and I love a lot of their segments. However, animators are always trying to experiment with new ways and art styles. I think if they re-drew the characters like Batman they would really look awkward-- and it wouldn't really feel like G.I. Joe.
  24. Hi, thanks for making this such a great discussion. I didn't think that I would get that many great responses. As far as re-drawing all of the characters anime style, one can not really compare "Transformers: Armada" to all anime. Just like with U.S. cartoons there are some good and bad ones. Also, I really think that they should broadcast the show on the Cartoon Network.
  25. Thanks for making this such a great topic. Sorry about the comment about re-drawing all of the G.I. Joe characters in anime style; it was just an idea. But now that I think about it, that would be awful. -Cobra_Saboteur
