  1. http://www.firebladecomics.com/customs/urb...ltwreckage.html Wreckage was such a great figure from the first set of Transformers toys from the 2007 movie that I decided to revisit him for a new custom for the release of Revenge of the Fallen. His original camo scheme left much to be desired, so I decided to keep the urban camo theme but improve on it. He also needed some mods and new weapons, so after many hours of effort here is Urban Assault Wreckage! Thanks for looking!
  2. http://www.firebladecomics.com/customs/iro...eashedver2.html Due to the great reaction my Iron Man Unleashed custom brought, including many inquiries into how I did the battle damage, I decided to do another. This time I really stepped up the battle damage with advanced techniques for detailing and weathering, and documented the whole procedure. Read how this figure was customized in the guide at Fireblade Comics: Battle Damage Guide Paints used: - Krylon Fusion Flat Black - Krylon Brilliant Silver - Pactra Racing Metallic Red - Testors Model Master Acryl Gold - Testors Model Master Acryl Flat Black - Games Workshop Citadel Mithril Silver The painting procedure is quite involving so instead of typing it twice just read about it in the above guide... Thanks for looking!
  3. http://www.firebladecomics.com/customs/ironmanunleashed.html The Unleashed version of Iron Man is really cool, but what's the only way to make it better? Battle damage! I used several new customizing techniques (not new to customizers but new for me) in order to give Iron Man the beating of his life and the results look great! You can see where 'Ol Shellhead has taken several rounds from artillery and small arms and his armor looks ground down. I also repainted the base and repulsor blasts. Thanks for looking!
  4. I assume you meant G1 not V1? Thanks I tried, I think the blue I used looks better in real life than the pics can do justice, and the decal really made this custom, because without it he wasn't Tracks (he didn't have it for Megacon where he won 2nd place in the custom contest, you can see it in the pics)
  5. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:IT&ih=020 Read the comic featuring Tracks: "Transformers 2 Auditions" Anyone remember the blue Corvette with the flaming Autobot faction symbol on his hood from Generation 1 Transformers? His name is Tracks and I'll never forget when I got him back when I was a kid. I played that guy to death, his doors came off and he lost an arm and wing. And it's not that I mistreated him either, I tried to take care of him, but he saw a lot of action. Anyways, he was one of the first that came to mind when I considered what Gen 1 'bots to do in the movie style. I opted to kitbash a Concept Camaro Bumblebee with about 3 different Gundam kits and came out with my version of movie Tracks. His gun is made from scratch and features removable fire molding. He is still fully transformable and posable. His wings and shoulder missiles are removable for car mode. He comes with a base made to look like a stretch of road with a textured surface. But the most proud feature I made for him is probably the custom created decal of his flame emblem using the movie style Autobot faction symbol. Check out my other auctions as I am listing a Custom Modified Nerf Nite Finder that has been Steampunked! http://myworld.ebay.com/firebladecomics Thanks for looking!
  6. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:IT&ih=020 So I took a look at the new Animated Spider-man figures that just came out, particularly Venom because he's one of my favorite characters of all time. But although I thought the new style was interesting, he seemed anything but scary. After all, he had little stubs for teeth! Something needed to be done about this. I sculpted him a new set of deadly chompers, as well as enhancing his eyebrows to make him look more sinister, then I lengthened and sharpened his claws. And finally I decided to sculpt on his chest and back spider, instead of just painting it on, making it look like a bony protrusion. Having never watched the animated show, I had no clue why Venom was painted in a metallic blue, so I gave him the classic black and white treatment. Next I decided to give him a line of "web shot" that attaches to the back of his right hand and is made from craft wire and hot glue. Finally, he needed a nice base, something of an alley scene where he can throw down with that bothersome webslinger, Spider-man! ** Check out my other auctions, this week I have listed 4 prop guns, including 2 customized Nerf guns! Thanks for looking!
  7. Indeed, this figure has a lot of detail that just needed to be brought out with a good paintjob. It also helps that Incredible Hulk was a great movie and the Abomination was a good character
  8. http://www.firebladecomics.com/customs/abomination.html Abomination was never a villain I really respected in the comics. He may have been big and mean but he had fish lips! So when I heard he was in the new Incredible Hulk movie I was skeptical. However, after seeing the movie I must say, the filmmakers did a really good job in the translation of this character. I decided to do my own take on the movie toy, opting for an almost alligatorish texture and color scheme for the skin, and downplaying the protruding bones the original toy had. In the end, I think this is a nice custom based on the movie character, but paying respect to the reptillian original. Thanks for looking!
  9. http://www.firebladecomics.com/customs/grayhulk.html Since I thought the Movie Hulk toy was a pretty good figure I decided what the world needed was a Gray Movie Hulk! But why gray? Well the Hulk was originally gray when he was created. Also, the Ultimate version of Hulk is gray. And let's face it, he always looks cool in gray. And for some reason I always think of gray hulk in purple shorts, rather than blue. Either way, he was fun to paint. Thanks for looking!
  10. Thanks for the feedback, I'm planning a trenchcoated variant as seen in the movie
  11. http://www.firebladecomics.com/customs/hulk.html Read the comic featuring the figure: "The Hulk Goes Green" With the new Incredible Hulk movie due out in June, it seemed like a good time to do a Hulk custom. The 6 inch Hulk from the movie line has good articulation and is a nice size to fit in with Marvel Legends so I knew I had to get him. He was actually fun to paint and didn't need any real improvement to the original mold. I opted to go with a more vivid green paint scheme than the one that the figure came with. This was my first time using an airbrush on a figure and since it turned out so well, laying down the paint so smooth, I will definately be focusing on doing more airbrushing on figures from here on out. I kept the original figure's eyes since they had nice detail and I didn't want to lose that. Thanks for looking!
  12. http://www.firebladecomics.com/customs/ultimatenickfury.html Read the comic featuring the figure: "Avengers... Disassemble!" Ultimate Nick Fury was one of my favorite characters when I started reading the Ultimate line of Marvel Comics and I loved that he was modeled after Sam "The Man" Jackson. So when I heard Sam would be cameoing as Nick in the Iron Man movie I jumped out of my seat. I have been saving this custom for nearly 6 months in order to release it around the time Iron Man came out. What's that you say? Didn't know Nick Fury was in Iron Man? Well, did you stay til the end of the credits? Yup there's an extra scene, better go see it again! I thought Iron Man was fantastic, but Nick Fury's scene made the movie priceless. The figure was created from a Marvel Legends Bullseye body with the head from a McFarlane Shaft figure, and various belts and straps added to the legs and arms. His eye patch is sculpted on with FIXIT, as well as some of the pouches, and the patch strap is thin styrene. The head attaches by magent giving it great posability. The figure has ridiculous articulation, as many of the good Marvel Legends do... even his fingers are individually articulated! And finally, the S.H.I.E.L.D emblem on his chest and shoulders are custom designed decals in addition to all of the warning signs and symbols (and bullet holes) on the base. Thanks for looking!
  13. Thanks for the feedback I do appreciate it... Doc Ock sold on ebay for $21 so I just broke even on him but it's ok some you win some you lose some you break even
