  1. I have never even seen those pictures, that just made my whole day! Thank you so much for posting them. This is a good topic to debate on. I would love to see a few of those figures get some sort of a tribute figure in an exclusive type form.
  2. That's funny stuff! The commercial that is, not the bashing.
  3. Been playing a lot of The Bigs some TF:ROTF and Scene It
  4. I'm kicking myself in the head, because I saw these once and passed figuring they would be everywhere. I think Denis Leary wrote a song about what I would be calling myself after this. I had seen them in a Meijers in IL.
  5. I really thought he would have made a much better Aquaman, but he was already Green Arrow in my mind and it was hard for me to get over that. At least they didn't use the guy from Smallville. Then again, I'm sure it wasn't his fault that he had such cheesy surfer dialogue.
  6. I really just saw this as a Smallville type story, with DC/WB trying to find lightning in a bottle with this as they did with Superman. I would much rather see a teenage Bruce Wayne coming of Batman, but that won't ever happen because of the movies. I know we have Batman Begins, but Batman like Superman goes through a ton more that we don't see in the movie. Like the coming of age in Smallville a Bruce Wayne coming of age story would be very cool.
  7. Notice all the new uniform figures are all in stock but the Commander and troops, S.O.S.
  8. If Fro-Joe comes back he had better return with a pick in his fro!
  9. That was really cool to see! I love the old school style of it.
  10. I didn't really think about it until reading all the latest posts but Jake sissy did work really well as a kid character on ds9. I have always liked how the families were on the ships and space stations. It always made me think, well that makes sense these folks are out in space for a long time and they go to work each day and still get to go home to their families. I would think it would make it harder for them to concentrate when they are under attack and not to be worrying about their families but it could make them work harder to keep them safe at the same time by protecting the ship or station.
  11. What about Watchmen, wasn't that pretty comic book accurate? Just from people I've talked to about it. (not the whole world here) my comic book/comic movie fan friends loved it and my non fan friends thought it was a good action flick, but dragged on for way to long. Was that movie not about the most accurate comic book based movie? It did well in the book office and really well on DVD.
  12. I agree that big action scenes were not the intended vision, but the technology wasn't there back in the day to make great space battle scenes for t.v. At the time. That just what I feel about it. I'm sorry if I came across as though I didn't like Worf coming to DS9, I was happy when he did, he's one of my favorite characters. I think they tried to make him a sort of Spock for the next generation at least with his unusual upbringing compared to those of his species. IMO, I think he was the best recognizable character to bring in. Sorry about not making that clearer.
  13. I agree on the original size, but I think they could give the figures a little more articulation with the advances they have made in recent years. My only concern is that they will make all of the vehicles with giant launching missile and rockets.
  14. So if this new M.A.S.K. Movie does come out as Hasbro and Paramount have said it's in the works, you have to figure we will see new toys right? If the line comes out would you buy them? what would you like to see remade? What size should they be? The original size, 4 inch, 8 inch, etc.
  15. I loved ds9, it's 2nd only to TNG in my eyes. TNG had great writing, a great all around cast and they seemed to listen to the fans when they wrote off Wesley crusher. DS9 had great stories that always left me wanting to tune in next week to see what was going to happen, but when it geared up for a really big climax, it would fall a little short. I agree with what most of you have said. I love that when they jumped the shark, it was by bringing In Worf. The show was IMO was a great concept that i believe they should have incorporated into the TNG movies better if not at least it's own movie.
  16. That's awesome! Love it!
  17. Mine comes from my old convention/toy show store. Since I started it 1995 when the whole scalping thing really started where people were running through toy aisles to grab freshly stocked monkey faced lei's and I refused to be apart of it, and just threw stockroom guys at different stores 20 bucks to put stuff of to the side and then would piss off the other scalpers by always getting what they couldn't. I'm not bragging, but this is what happened when star wars was finally rereleased. No one was buying the old stuff for a while and it was my way of being able to collect while I was in college. Once I stopped doing shows and got on the Internet, people had already used store troopers as a name on many sites, so I just used Chicago or the original store trooper in it's place. I guess I'll have to change it to Boston Storetrooper since I recently just moved to Mass. I also use ship shape on other sites because of one of my favorite g.I. Joe episodes where shipwreck tells some kids a story and renames the Joe characters. I also use LT JT Marsh 134 for my gamer tag, since I love the exo squad cartoon and character.
  18. Price! Crappy repaints, not all repaints are bad, I like the ones in night force colors. I'm on board about the same weapons being packed in and not specialized on the soldier or enemies specialty. The discontinue of the 25th style package and figures. I still, like many others do not understand how this line was not continued with all of it's success. Shire some figures were peg warmers, but all lines experience some peg warmers. Even the almighty dc universe. I'm not a movie figure hater, it had many flaws, but still worth collecting and offered a few cool designs but allowing the classic line to dwindle down to a few exclusives and a couple of inserts under the movie line IMO was as bad a decision as when they did it with the classic transformers line when the movies were released.

Always hated how B.A. wasn't a whole figure and half painted in the van.
  20. Ok, thanks for the reply. So I just moved to Mass from chicago and it is so hard to collect in my old ways. I use to hit up about 5 wal-mart, targets, 2 toys r us and a few misc. Stores like k-mart and big lots. Well now I'm 3 hours from Boston or new York and have to travel at least a half hour whichever way I go to hit maybe one wal and maybe a big lots. The nice thing is you can find a lot of old toys out here at what they call tag sales (we call them garage sales in Chicago) and they seem to have them every weekend at about every 5 houses you pass. Anyone live out here? Anyone have good suggestions on places to hit up? Kinda sucks when you spend all day shopping and find nothing new. Haven't even seen the a-team stuff. Only prince of Persia, which looks like Indiana jones wannabe's.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pics of the figures and how they look next to the joes.
  22. Really nice looking pups arrow.
  23. What is suppose to be talked about in here. I don't usually say much in the forums because no one really ever replies even when offer to help them out and find something. I usually just read what's going on and leave the serious talk to those who know. This is by far my favorite toy collecting site.
