  1. Never had a problem, they have some cool new collector cases for loose figures at a nice price. They have fair prices as well.
  2. I don't know if anyone else noticed this but at the bottom right hand side of the picture of the Rhyno it says that the figures name is Rampage. If you click on the pictures corner it will show you the package more upclose and that's what I saw. If I'm wrong about the name I'm sure you'll all let me have it, but that's what I noticed, unless your all just calling him Heavy Metal. His face also looks like Mutts. Also I picked up Paris SE, Paris unmasked SS (very loose figure) Cobra Commander, Ice Viper, Firefly & Barbeque. I'll pick up the common guys on Sunday, but I have to say these are much better than I had ever first thought.
  3. Thank you! Actually, it is not. It is from the RiD Dinobot Grimlock. That blue head black body Batman looks cool looking what series did that Batman came from? That Batman is no doubt made by Kenner as just an anniversary figure. That grey/black Batman has to be a Mattel Zipline Batman. He isn't really unmasking, is he? I believe that is the Batman unmasking from SDCC few years ago. I have the Batman he is unmasking, but I got mine at Chicago Comic Con from a dealer so I don't know which one it's from, but he is unmasking, it's a great figure for display! Garage sales, flea Market and Craigslist are great sorces for cheap (most of the time) neat finds. Found a Super Powers Red Tornado for a buck, no cape, but I dunno I still just love those figs and the price was right.
  4. Did you watch the extras on that yet, I was kinda upset about most of it. It was funny to see that they blurred out all the little kids faces in the commercials though. I guess Hasbro didn't want to have to pay them out for that.
  5. I picked up the new Superion Classics or Universe as they call them now gift set today at Target. It is much cooler than I thought it would be and is by far one of the cooler combiners! It's a great price point as well for only $30.00 Also when I was out at Target I picked up the exclusive seeker sets from Wal-Mart, the white one and I think it's purple (sorry I'm a little color blind so I'm not sure purple or blue) but these are just repaints of the Starscream and nothing to pee myself about. These are a little pricey as well.
  6. ouch, hope your alright buddy. Medical bills will probably keep me from getting joes for a bit sadly But I haven't seen any near here anyways. Thanks man.... I am ok and very luck.... plunged about 12-13 feet. I landed on my feet but they buckled and I slode backwards and slammed my back into the groung, then my head. I am sore everywhere..... have a cast/splint on my right ankle.......and im lucky that is it! Waiting a buddy to come by later and take me to get Joes lol Draven Damn that sucks, I hope you get better soon and are racing back down the aisles. Look at it this way, you might be able to get one of those ultra slick go cart things at Wal-Mart or Target. For me in the northwest burbs of Chicago, I have only spotted Joes in one Targer so far and it was only one end cape that had most of the basic figures were on and a tone of the mini vehicles. I only picked-up Shipwreck for now but do plan to get others.. I think they do look better than the photos i've seen on the net. I have to agree they will go well with the 25th Joes but this price point is just awful. I don't think if this line doesn't do well it will be because of the movie or the quality of the figures, it will be the price point. Even if the movie line does not do well, I'm sure we'll see the return of the 25th line, it's not like the stuff has been cluttering the aisles, with the exception of a few figs packs that people replaced with other older figures or all the Vipers the scalpers returned after the new fan updated Vipers came out. That's just m feelings.
  7. I don't really buy anything but the action films on BD, unless it comes with a DVD copy along with the digital copy. Disney started doing this and I see it becoming more of a pull to get us to buy everything on Blue Ray. I myself have passed on getting certain movies on BD because I wanted to be able to watch it in other places than just my one room with the Blue Ray player. With most new DVD's costing $16.99-$19.99 for just that disc, I would rather spend an extra ten bucks and get it for all. Oh and Wal-Mart and Target have many Blue Ray discs that are older for the $10-$12 range.
  8. I am about as excited for this movie as I was for Bring It On Again!
  9. It's how he does it and what he says not the opionion
  10. You're the villain b/c you responded like a grade A douche when people were having a pleasant discussion. Fortunately intellect has nothing to do with that. Couldn't have said it better myself!
  11. while I haven't been to Chicago, I can say with near certainty that Joe figures were never $4.99 for 6 months at Target before the Eel wave hit. in fact, around that time period, Target only dropped the price to $4.99 from $6.99 for about three weeks -- a sale -- and people were hoping to find the newly released wave 10 there while the sale was still in progress. your time period reflects the sale which was only a few weeks. Anyone who shops at diff. Targets will tell you that the prices vary, Maybe at the Taget on Cobra Mountain where you live never saw this price for more than a few weeks. I did not see it at every Target, only 2-3 out of the 7 within range of my home or work. How do you know since you already stated you don't know about Chicago. Why the need to fight? I don't state things I don't know, so don't tell me what I do know and don't know
  12. My point was that I can see them at $5.99, but not much more. The Targets in Chicago started selling them at $5.99 and then came down to $4.99 for about 6 months before I saw them at $8.99 when the Eel series was released. I know the price point since my friend worked at Target and was picking them up for me at $4.99 for a while plus his employee discount of 10%. Not trying to fight or anything just stating that I have an idea of what I'm talking about and not just wasting page space. Many valid points are being made, let us not forget that the original ML Marvel Showdown figures were highly articulated and came with more stuff in the package and were priced between $6.99-$7.99 when not on clearance. Those were out well before the price of plastic went up. At this point I think I would rather just see them release the figures in multi-packs. I know this won't work for everyone, since I am mainly a loose collector, but look at the comic packs and multi-packs. You get the figures, weapons (sometimes a few extra weapons) and the file cards at a lower price. $30 for a 7 pack of figures, can't beat that, but they say the new 7 packs will be priced higher when they come out this summer. Here we go back to square one. To be honest though, I have yet to buy a figure for over $6.99 and I doubt I ever will, otherwise I'll be posting up my collection on EBay like many others have.
  13. Mine with Skeets is removable, but the end in which it comes out has a little paint on it, so I'm not sure if it was suppose to?
  14. I can understand the price of a Joe figure going up to $5.99 due to plastic costs, but the plastic price has gone down since they first claimed this. I understand they lock in projected costs of goods, like plastic and they do it for each quarter. The quarter where they would have locked it in at passed in January when the cost would have gone down. I know this because my business buys many of the same type of items using plastics. The price for Joes started at $4.99 for the first few runs and as soon as demand was high enough, they started uping the prices. Don't forget, the anniversary line was only suppose to be a limited line at first and it was the popularity of the line that has kept it going. So it would be hard pressed to say it was an introductory price point. Not to mention until recently the comic 2-packs have been only $9.99 which also comes with a comic with a new artwork cover. I don't want to give up quality I agree with what JayC said about complaining about quality, but we were getting good quality to start with at $4.99, Hasbro is just listening to collectors now which is nice but they are only making a few changes here and there which costs them even less and costs us even more to buy an exsisting figure with a new head and a set of hands that now have gloves with a new paint scheme. Most Joe parts are reused and reused again so you are saving on body mold left and right, which is most of the cost of a figure in the first place. The Marvel figures and Star Wars are way to expensive, even though the quality is piss poor at best for the new Marvel lines, the Star Wars lines have made leaps and bounds over the original 1995 Power of the Force line which in my opinion, they should! Every year it should get a little better, that has always been a businesses driving force to sell to the consumer. I will admit I understand those type of lines costing more due to the licensing cost, but G.I. Joe, they own it! Honestly Transformers are the only ones I see worth the money, but I can't say much since I only collect the Altenators or Masterpiece lines. I dunno, that's my take on it. #US1#
  15. That's where it starts then it creeps into the other rooms, until you eventually have figures in the bathroom, fish tank and refrigerator...yeah, I do in all 3 places (all extras but I do)
  16. Yeah the knock offs I think were called Tech Wars and they are always really high priced on Ebay, but I have picked some up at Flea Markets for a good price. The figures are really badly repainted but the Mechs have some cool repaints. Thanks for the heads up though!
  17. I was really hoping for a night force Falcon but I am not impressed, and I usually am the last to moan about the little things, but his head next to that pistol looks like a little thing.
  18. I liked all of it, even though I saw many flaws I did not like, I still thought it was the best they could or would put out. We all have our own opionions on what we wanted to see, but even if we all got into a room and voted on every little piece of footage and voice acting we would still have people who wer not in the majority of the vote that would have problems with it. Everyone makes very good points on all the flaws, but let's face it, this is the best we will probably ever see and it would be great to see it continue. SPOILER ALERT: All in all I loved watching it and for the first time in a long time was very eager to watch a Joe cartoon!
  19. Thanks for the links CLAM, I loved all of it, you have to expect the talk and I think you wouldn't notice as much if it was a full episode. If it was you would have been excited about hearing certain characters talk (don't want to say due to spoilage). I loved both episodes for the pure fact that it's something new that I am digging. I'm so happy to have an updated version of the Joes that's not so campy or wannabe CGI. The storylines will always change, I think we all have to accept that. You can have the stories you know and love and still appreciate a new version of the story.
  20. Was just curious if anyone else here collects Exo Squad toys? These toys were released in the 90's and although the figures were nothing spectacular, the Exo suits that they had are really cool. I have just about all of them as I try to track down a couple of pieces from the end of the line. I also am trying to army build Neo soldiers and I also enjoy buying big lots off of Ebay and reconstructing and repainting broken down Exo suits. Is anyone else into this?
  21. The now cult classic 1st season of the Exo Squad cartoon has been released on DVD and I am so excited! It appears that they will be releasing a lot of 90's cartoons this summer with X-Men The Animated Series (later this month), The re-release of Transformers and G.I. Joe, the summer keeps looking better and better! Now if they just released the Spider-man animated series and Spider-man and his Amazing Friends I would be a happy geek.
  22. I love the pics, I too love to photograph my figures. How did you build your light box? What did you use to construct it and what was your cost?
