  1. Actually it's saying MAttel is the one who has a problem and not the retailers. Also if you read other boards there are reports all over of these figures being back at the stores, also MM and DCUC are back for order at TRU.com. "Back for order" huh, ok are they in stock?? My guess is the answer is a resounding NO! I still think its subterfuse. either the health risk is bigger than any one (Mattel or retailer) is letting on, OR, there's no health risk at all & this whole thing has been cooked up to turn "retail lead" in to gold! If so, then some one needs to tell Mattel to KNOCK IT OFF & GIMME BACK MY TOYS! How is this "gold" for Mattel? DCUC and MM were already selling well (if not selling out) so how does this benefit Mattel that they are getting bad publicity and less product on the shelf to sell? The only ones that may make money off of this is the scalpers on Ebay.
  2. Dumb Bunny of the Inferior Five B
  3. Hawkman (obviously in honor of the cool new DCUC figure coming out) K
  4. I don't know, when they had an exclusive with Toybiz for the Giantman wave of ML they were pretty well stocked and kept 'em coming out every time the supply dwindled. I'm not saying they'll do a great job or anything but I'm hopeful. its not the point. they let go of the line. i dont think that a store that only carried the line up to the "steel" wave should get exclusives. i got ALL of my dcsh/dcuc figs from target!(toysRus got me clayface & catwoman) toysRus gets the 2-packs(fine) and faithful dcsh/dcuc carrier "target" gets what?!.....SH*T!!!!!!! Exactly, why should a chain that doesn't stock the line to begin with, deserve to carry an exclusive wave. The usual reason: money talks yeah...and bullsh*t runs the marathon! Can't argue with that.

  6. OK, so like a Previews or BBTS exclusive figure? That would certainly make it more accessible. I still wouldn't go for an A-lister, but any of the non-powereds listed would be good. why? you would just have to pay a little more for it. I mean I wouldn't use up my vote on an A-lister - I'd think that something special should be the exclusive, something you would not necessarily see widespread. Like Lois, Gordon, or Alfred. yeah....youre right. i would rather get a filler character than an A-lister. Besides, an A-lister should be used to anchor a wave and be easy (or as easy as these get) to find.
  7. Yes he did look like that in the comics, throughout most of the 60's, 70's, & 80's.
  8. Unless something has changed since his return, Jericho isn't gay. (read the 'Why he's here' section right above his power description) I agreed with most of what you said, but I wanted to clarify that one before yet another tangent began. What? What?! WHAT?! ... Sometimes I am honestly ashamed to be white. See, this is something that bothers me. Nobody should feel ashamed of who or what they are, even occasionally. I am also a white guy, and I'm constantly told by society, the media, etc, that I should be ashamed or feel guilty to be either white or a guy. The cop was obviously WAY out of line, and shouldn't be wearing the uniform. But Magic 8 Ball should not feel to blame, even momentarily, for this bigotted moron's contemptable actions. Pooda, I am truly sorry for what happened to you. From your other posts, I know you live in the Milwaukee area (as do I), and you seem like a nice guy. It really saddens me that we still have idiots like this roaming our streets, especially in what should be positions of authority and respect. Police and other people in public service should be (and most are) good examples to the rest of us. I'm sorry this one fell so far short of that.
  9. Actually, not quite true. For years Black Manta was just a guy in a wet suit and funny helmet who fought Aquaman. It wasn't until years later that he finally took off his helmet and said "No, I mean exactly what I said: 'my people'. Or have you never wondered why I'm called Black Manta--?" You can see the panel the quote came from on Manta's wikipedia entry. The taking over Atlantis for "his people" was tacked on then as well. This revelation came out during the 70's when every black character had to have "black" in his name (Black Lightning, Black Goliath, Black Panther, etc). I'm really glad they finally got past that. Imagine if they did that for everyone. White Superman would team up with White Batman to go help Green Martian Manhunter to rescue White Female Wonder Woman.
  10. Wow, I'm sorry you've had such problems with them. I've had just the opposite. I've had several Mavel Legends figures break, but never a DCD and I've collected them almost since the beginning. Admittedly they've had other problems (one of Dr.Fate's legs being longer than the other, limited articulation, consistant scale, etc) but breaking is one problem I haven't seen.
  11. I can't say about all of them, I only have Nightwing. But he's been open since the figure came out and I've had no problems. Maybe Blackmada just had some really bad luck with these.
  12. Me, I'm thinking we might be getting just 2-packs for awhile until Hasbro decides/retools the single carded line. No real reason or inside information, just a feeling. If we get a varied selection, that could be very cool. Boy this thread is a much nicer place now. Thanks, Jase.
  13. Nope, re-read it, no numbers. Perfectly clear. Please wash off the ruler when you're done. I hear the theme song from the TWILIGHT ZONE playing in my head... Listen (read) carefully: You DON'T need to work for HASBRO to understand how business operates. I never claimed to have "numbers". How this idea managed to seep into your brain is a mystery. What happens once it gets inside is also mysterious, and I have serious concerns about your synaptic processes. Either way, you bore me. Come back when you have something to contribute. #US1# It "seeped" into my brain because no sales expert I have ever dealt with could make projections without sales numbers. Obviously your superior "synaptic processes" have found a way to do this with no knowledge of the facts. Congratulations, not even Hasbro (who you don't work for, we get it) can do that. By the way, I never suggested that you needed to work for Hasbro to understand how business operates. You do however need facts (ie. numbers) to make business decisions. Lacking that, you have only an opinion. Don't care if I bore you. You no longer amuse me. Good day.
  14. You're right there's no point. Just bored at work. Waiting for NYCC.
