  1. Hulk/Banner is NOT in IronMan, nor is Fury. Plenty of reviews for IronMan at RottenTomatoes (press screenings and what not). Opens in USA Thurs Night 8pm Eastern.
  2. All those I really wanted the most are apparently now under development or are planned to be: Hobbit (great book, apparently will be two movies) Mechwarrior/BattleTech (lots of great source writtings/material) Avengers (da!) I think kids need a book adaptaion that will shock them much like a few I can remember did when I was young such as Watership Down or Rikki-tikki-tavi.
  3. As much as I would like to see Punisher in the game or any game, I think MUA showed with Elektra that those without powers are really at a disadvantage. She was generally thought to be the most useless character in the game. But really no matter who is in it, there has to be balance so some characters will be underpowered for how they should be and the inverse too. Those with a more rounded set of powers are easier for the developers to give them balance.
  4. They are not dead...just knocked out. You get bonuses for having ceratin members comprising teams. You also get get bonoses for using and having active member of your roster. This is nice since you not only get to level up your characters, but also the team. Capatin is a good chioce since he is so powerful. Item you get from boss fights are always better than character specific items.
  5. I would doubt that they would do that sine there is a Capcom vs DC coming out.
  6. Can't comment on which one first as they already decided. If Legends is a template, meaning play as good guys first then mix it up in the second...I look forward to playing both sides in MUA2 if that is what they do. Something Activision could do that EA has been doing is unlock something for having a save game from one of the previous titles on the system. I really hope they do away with the auto leveling by default as being on out of the gate.
  7. Iron Man movie watching challenge Most non comic fans will not catch all of these, but you can. There are at least three things that are given a wink/nod or are alluded to for a sequel/future movie. There are at least two cameos.
  8. ***spoilers*** is voice, not person Fury been cut from theatrical release of I.M. Stark comments on the "problem" Ross has in Hulk over drinks in bar...make theatrical cut?

  10. This is older news than the other two links...but hey, found when looking for updates on the Venom movie. Topher Grace Won't Do Solo 'Venom' Movie Spider-Man 3 star Topher Grace refuses to appear in a spin-off movie of the Spider-Man franchise as his character Venom, because he thinks it would flop. The actor plays the enemy of Spider-Man in the latest installment of the superhero movie. But he's not interested in making the anti-hero have its own dedicated movie, because spin-off superhero movies like Elektra (2005) and Supergirl (1984) haven't been very popular - reports Moviehole.com. Grace says, "Those haven't really worked very well have they?" http://www.starpulse.com/news/index.php/20...olo_venom_movie
  11. I always thought Micheal Biehn (Terminator, Aliens, Abyss, Navy Seals, The Rock, etc) was a perfect fit for Captain America. Military role which he excels at and just looked like him so much. Too bad he's a bit too old now.
  12. The Marvel movie I look forward to the most by far is Avengers. I can rewatch the Lionsgate animated movie suprisingly more often than almost any other superhero movie. Until then I will gladly watch any of the hero films that lead towards an eventual Avengers full feature live action movie. Really can't wait to see how well they do Ironman and Captain America. The second flick I am looking forward to seeing a lot is Wolverine. I really really really hope they do this right. I am not overly fond of Wolverine getting most of the attention for the in the X-men universe lately, but if it's a conduit to see others on screen then I'm for it. Always ready for another Spidey flick despite any misgivings I have for where the series is at now.
  13. I can think of a few options Marvel may pursue. 1) Reboot the Venom character so no ties with Spidey3 Not not sure how they would do this without spidey. 2) Lionsgate animated movie of Venom - possibly with Spidey. Perhaps there are no movie rights issues with the an animated Spiderman, although there is the new animated spidey show too.
  14. It was not my intent to imply that Venom replaces Spiderman4, in fact James Vanderbilt is working on the Spidey4 script.
  15. Between these two reports it would appear a Venom movie is very likely. If Marvel does not have the Spidey movie rights, Venom would have to carry the movie without his help...guess we'll have to wait and see. So what good likely stories could they use for Venom without Spidey in his first solo flick? http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_e...mp;article=4303 http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_c...9&Itemid=99
  16. NPR (Nation Public Radio) had a short piece on Captain America this morning. You can catch it here (click on the listen now). http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.p...toryId=18520433 You can also catch the piece they did last year about him getting killed off: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=7770294
  17. Ah yes, too bad the series is not released on DVD. My friend got a set of the series at a comic show....took a long time to get through them. Not sure what my fav would be....but the worst has got to be mojo-vision.
  18. The third and final video is available!
  19. I noticed in the same reports about this they say Wolverine will encounter familiar mutants and "new" ones as well. So my question on that is...new to whom exactly, Wolverine, the Marvel universe, who? Another comment I rather expected is that he will encounter legends of the X-men universe. This plays into the reports of Deadpool, but in the X-men movies, was he not aware of the X-men, they certainly made it seem as they were not aware of him in X-men1. I do not think they ever stated in the movies if he knew Sabertooth was with the Brotherhood or not. I don't think it was made clear in the movies, but it seems as though Magneto knew of Wolverine and Weapon-X.
  20. These videos actually aren't that bad. Looks as though there will be more to come. Head over to http://marvelkids.com/videos to see them.
  21. Joe Carnahan is working to bring them to the screen so the reports go: http://comicbookmovie.com/news/articles/4188.asp
  22. I don't know if that's true, but that's a pretty good casting choice. Ryan Reynolds is a big dude, and he usually plays a smart-ass. I could not find the exact reference where I read that, but this reference indicates almost the same thing...while not confirming it though. "Meanwhile, CHUD also reports that Deadpool may be appearing in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The film received a re-write immediately before the WGA strike began, so details on the script remain uncertain, but we do know that the film covers Wolverine's early life, including his involvement with the Weapon X program, headed by William Stryker. If this remains the case, it makes sense for Sabretooth and Deadpool, both of whom were involved in the project in the comics, to appear. David Goyer has long been rumored to be working on a Deadpool movie, possibly with Ryan Reynolds set to play the "Merc with a mouth", so having the character make an appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine would be a good way to set that film up." link and more info: http://www.superheroflix.com/news/38/24938.php
  23. Keep in mind that everything not in the can is subject to change due to the writers strike. January 2009 - Will Eisner's The Spirit March 2009 - Watchmen May 2009 - X-Men Origins: Wolverine August 2009 - G.I. Joe
  24. Marvel/DC announced a few more on DVD for July 2008: New Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow (kids of the Ultimate Avengers and older Stark/Banner) Batman: Gotham Knight (fill in between Batman Begins and Dark Knight)
  25. From what I can recall, Deadpool was rumored to be making an appearance in the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" movie with Ryan Reynolds playing the part. Marvel seems to be going at this from two opposing methods, with X-Men/DareDevil they are introducing Characters and spining them off; with others such as Ironman/Hulk, they are bringing together for a later movie with all. One would think they were preping him since he was playable in X-Men Legends 2, along with Ironman who now has his own movie. He also is/was playable in Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
