  1. They are literally pacifiers. They are cheap crap meant to be handed to a wailing child to shut them up. There's a whole segment of people out there, children and adults that are willing ( enthusiastically even) to buy crap. They are quick & cheap to produce, they are easy for the factories to turn out and easy to slip into a package, and retailers seek that kind of thing because it puts stock on their shelves that leads to an impulse buy with consumers. And its crap. These things are around $9 at TRU here in Canada. That is not "cheap". These should cost $3 max. And I have no problem with Joe and Star wars figures costing $9.98 each here in Canada. So if I say they are not cheap they really aren't.
  2. Hmmm, I don't know about that. The face scuplt on yours is worse than the battle pack version.
  3. Vintage luke as in kenner or POTF2? Either way they have very little articulation and the battle pack Luke is the only bespin luke in 30th style with full articulation. Am I wrong?
  4. Is the newer one in the legacy collection just the same 5 figures as repaints and different packaging? The older one from 2007 has a clean Luke and the new one is the exact same figure with a dirty paint wash? Which battle pack is better?
  5. Synch, what store did you find them at?
  6. First came Rowdy Roddy Piper. Then came Rowdy Roddy Pansy...
  7. Have you guys seen what wave 9 keeps selling for on ebay? $200-$300 for every set. This is WORSE than wave 5.
  8. Thats the only figure from wave 11 thats worth a damn.
  9. Super Powers were great for their time. The action features did ruin most of the figures though. They still looked great but the gooft features really hurt the play value for anyone over the age of 6.
  10. I want to start filling the holes in my vintage collection. Whats a good archive site that lists and shows all the 77-85 figures similar to yojoe.com? I know I've been to one over the past 13 years but I don't remember the name.
  11. http://cgi.ebay.com/...p3286.m20.l1116 You better hurry up and use buy it now! This price is only a few $ higher than BBTS pre orders were. That should be barGain in the title.
  12. The crazy thing is there are ZERO wave 9 sets on ebay right now. And it's been like that for days now. You'd think the scalpers would by dumping them fast as they can. The last set I saw sell was all 9 figures for $215 plus shipping. That is some serious profit.
  13. The movie line has turned to Craptastic very fast. Hopefully by summer 2010 we will get some more much needed 25th figures(low light, Zarana, Zandar)
  14. Does anyone know of any online stores that are actually mailing out their pre orders and not just 10% of them? The canadian site Goldenagetoys.com claim they will be filling all their preorders but they haven't actually gotten them yet.
  15. I just got a letter from BBTS. They are only going to complete 25% of their orders and there will be NO MORE product coming as mattel only produced a tiny bit for wave 9.
  16. I think this was said in June. they said in July they might have wave 9 on mattycollector. Well July has come and gone so the earliest they would have them now is Oct. I still doubt they will get them that soon. I bet they don't start carrying them until wave 11.
  17. I just got a e-mail reply from BBTS. They said they KNOW mattel will not be giving them enough product to fill all their pre orders. And then told me to go buy else where! AWESOME! Besides wave 3 this was the only wave I actually wanted.
  18. I just placed my DCUC wave 9 pre order there because BBTS is short stocked and probably won't be able to fill my pre order. They have advertised that they will be getting them in Sept. You sure there is always a month or two delay? That would be quite the false advertising.
  19. DCUC is an AWESOME line, but for me I'd say no, not Toybiz's Marvel Legends. Mattel sometimes does the cheap thing and use the standard buff body on characters that shouldn't be buff which hurts the line in my eyes. Then there is the fact that too often they're happy to just paint on costumes instead of sculpting details. All that being said I really like DCUC a whole lot more than Hasbro's Marvel Legends....and maybe's Toybiz's last wave or two. Marvel Legends still OWNS dcuc.
  20. SWAMP THING BUILD A FIGURE! (fingers crossed)
