I got mine with today's mail, so yes, they are shipping. I ordered two, having sent in via two separate forms, but I'm sure the other one sent in much later will arrive w/in the next few days. Good luck in getting yours very soon!

I couldn't agree more. That old saying about a fool and his money is very true about eBay. The irony is, that I've often been that fool. #US1#

Very cool time had by all, if looks do not deceive me! Thanks for sharing the pics.

So far I'm liking everything but the 12-inch Joes. IMHO, let Sideshow or some other company that does larger scale figures better handle that part of the merchandising, and stick to what you do best, Hasbro, which is the 3 3/4 size!! The stand-outs for me thus far are the new (old) vehicles. I especially like the idea that we'll be getting a new VAMP with (hopefully) Clutch! It's been too long since these vehicles were seen on toy shelves, and not soon enough that we'll see them yet again. :-)

For whatever it's worth, I feel that the WM's and Target's of the world will stock anything that they think (i.e.- their toy buyers who scope out Toy Fair for product they'd like to invest in for the coming year) will sell. The 25th brand has been enormously popular with the 80's man-child crowd, and I have no doubts that we'd- in our nostalgic fervor- just as likely buy vehicles as figures, right? What this all means, is that we'll most likely see Joe vehicles selling right alongside the Elite Forces product. Well, let me rephrase that. You'll see the Elite Forces product, and you'll see the blank spaces where the Joe vehicles should be but aren't because they've sold out. :-)

Very cool idea! I'll certainly be around and posting durin the ToyFair reveals.

These reports are fun! I'll admit though, anticipating the arrival of mine any day now is getting me antsy, but I'm sincerely glad that people are enjoying this Wave so much!

This reminds me of a sweepstakes that I remember vividly from when I was a kid, which involved a shopping spree at a TRU store. I remember daydreaming about all of the stuff I would grab in that cart were I the one given the chance at said spree. The above not withstanding, if I had to pick one item it would actually be quite easy for me to decide. My GI Joe Skystriker with pilot Ace was a cherished item from my youth. I actually received it as an X-mas present, but if I were dropped back into a 1980's TRU, I'd have to go with the good ol' Skystriker. As an aside; ironically enough, although Ace was a favorite figure of mine in the 1980's, the 25th version is sadly lacking. Honestly I hope they re-do this figure at some point and give him more natural looking eyes. Mine currently has eyes that look like Orphan Annie pin holes! ;-)

That store must exist in a parallel universe where Walmart has actually granted GI Joe the peg space that (based on rapid sales) it truly deserves!! Please pardon this slight digression; but it surprises me to no end that most WM's are still very much hedging their bets where the stocking of Joes is concerned. As we all know by now the average is about 4 pegs per WM- nearly always empty, sans a peg warmer or three. If the pegs are always empty, doesn't it make sense to stock enough product to meet demand? I mean, please pardon me for thinking outside the box here, but it stands to reason that if a product is in demand (unlike the Spiderman movie and Wrestling figures, which although plentiful in supply, tend to gather dust at most stores I frequent) you stock at least enough to meet demand if not a little more. The WM pictured at the top of this Thread is a very good step forward in ensuring there is enough stock to meet demand, and I applaud this store for doing this!

The silver head Destro is a natural, and makes complete sense given the fact that none of the Destro figures should have ever included anything BUT the vac-metallized version. The Fred and Flash swap is a really great one though, and I appreciate the recommendation! BTW, is anyone else thrilled with the fact that the scar Cobra trooper from the Wave 3 comic-packs actually has hair? I never understood why Hasbro put the Cobra troops out there with removeable helmets but no hair! Unless they were drawing some kind of comparison to Cobra and modern neo-Nazi skinheads- however doubtful that comparison may be.

I didn't get these in A.J., but yes, that's where I'm based out of. Honestly, I doubt A.J. (proper) even has these yet. I checked last night after the announcement went out, and none of the three WM's I checked had anything but Wave 1 of the comic-packs.

Along these same lines; no Mutt/Junkyard or Blowtorch?! Nemesis Enforcer?! I'm all for diversity and (hopefully) new sculpts, but this guy just doesn't jive IMHO since we have so many other great classic Joes to get to first. Oh well, I can't complain too much or too loudly if we're getting Lt. Falcon and Tripwire. I love both of these guys!

BTW, I opened WW and Ace this morning and wanted to post a few thoughts. Wild Weasel is incredible! Even though in my mind I realize he's mostly made up of re-used Snow Job parts, they just look right on WW. I love the crimson coloring, spot-on cool helmet design, leg maps, side-holsters with knife and removeable side-arm respectively, and removeable face-plate. My one complaint about the face plate is that it doesn't flip up, but must instead be fully removed in order to look in WW's eyes. That's okay though, because it easily fits in his hand, and he can carry it around like an Amex card if need be. Ace isn't quite as awesome as WW, but still well worth it. The flight vest works well given the overall sculpt, and the helmet fits nicely over a lip-flange (if that's the correct nomenclature) that once seated in place, is very secure and won't fall off. He doesn't come with a side-arm though, so it's essentially a fist-fight if he ever crash lands in enemy territory. Of course this is just one of the four packs I picked up today, but I have high hopes that the others will be just as great!

Thus far I think maybe a few collectors have seen these in the mid-West (as there's already an eBay auction from a guy who has them "in hand"), but I have yet to see any en masse reports of these showing up on the pegs. Any reports that these are rolling in?

Wave 3 comic-packs have landed in Phx, AZ also, and I picked up all 4 packs this morning!! God, there is nothing quite like the wonderous beauty of new Joes on the pegs, is there? :-) Although I have yet to open any of the packs, I'm admiring the Ace/WW pack right now. BTW, unfortunately those 'googly-eyes' that Ace sported in the advanced pics are the same that he has in the pack. I thought maybe they'd correct that, but alas, they are still there. So, I picked out the best of the lot and, well, there ya go. Happy Hunting, folks!
