  1. Hi Everyone; The 2 pics above are my attempt at a cloth cape eye makeup & metallic costume look for the White costume Storm. Her cape is hand sewn & is more comic book accurate than the one made by Toybiz. Storm's cape almost always splits into 2 pieces at the center of her back, then fans out into 2 halfmoon shapes on either side under her arms. I think this design would have also been possible with the rubber material as well. the 3rd pic above is a re-painted storm head with lighter tone brown, gray lowlights in her hair and white teeth added to her lips for an open mouth look What do you think?
  2. Hi Everyone; This was my first attempt at a custom Storm. She started life as a mystique figure. Her hair, tiara, & boot tops were sculpted of apoxiesculpt. She suffered from bad paint wear at her leg joint, but i do love her Classic look. Her cape is hand sewn & is not quite accurate but gets the point across for the pics. What do you think?
  3. I'd like to post a pic of my 1st attenpt at a custom original storm she used to be a mystique figure, but i cant seem to figure out how to post an image, any help would be appreciated
  4. CAPES: (in my opinion) As far as capes go, it really does depend on the character and the posability of the figure. I thought that Hasbro Banshee's cape was a GOOD choice for cloth as it's unusual bat-wing type placement does not interefere with his posability. Many figures with "normal" capes seem to do fine with rubber capes. However, I think Hasbro's White Queen and Black Queen's capes were a very BAD choice for rubber. They should have been cloth instead. Neither figure can raise their arms without dumping their cape!! I don't mind rubber capes when they don't interfere w/ the posability of the figure BUT ANY CAPE that goes over the figure's shoulders should be made out of CLOTH!! Which bring us tothe FA Storm prototype while the figure looks good, the tiny cape does nothing for it at all. Here's another instance where the figure will not be able to raise it's arms. STORM NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO RAISE HER ARMS & LOOK GOOD!! Storm needs a CLOTH cape to be able to raise her arms. (It's what she does most!!) OR maybe a 2-part cape like the one produced by Toybiz in 1998 for the Giant-Sized Boxed set.
  5. There is no doubt at all! Although I'm biased, because she's my favorite - I'd HAVE to pick Storm I'm not sure if I would pick black costume or white X-Men Classics costume. In my opinion, she's still the most detailed and best sculpted ML female figure.
  6. 1. ML Storm - Not only my favorite, but she is the best sculpted female ML figure. 2. ML Psylocke - a great general female sculpt 3. ML Phoenix (Dark Phoenix, Warbird) - great sculpt we can forgive her big shoulders 4. FF Movie Invisible Woman - good accurate sculpt 5. ML Wasp - again good general female sculpt & she didn't have those scary Spider-Woman man-hands ACK! Hasbro She-Hulk and white queen have nice body sculpts, lets hope they continue this way, But faces are not good at all!!!
  7. FYI X-MEN Superhero Squad BOX set ALL X-MEN figures are DIFFERENT than the 1st release: Magneto - different cape, face & hand pose Wolverine - different face & arm pose Colossus - completely different & MUCH better than previous one White Queen - in her villian costume w/fur cape (i liked her best as a villian) I can't speak for the other set since I didn't get it. These little figs grow on ya! -Dave
  8. WOW!! That's the Storm We Need!! Posable cape & all!! And can you imagine her as a ML Icon like this?!?! Awesome StormFan! _ Dave
  9. I was wondering what ML Lines or Box Sets you'd like Hasbro to consider? Here's mine:(They're X-Heavy I'm biased) Giant-Size X-MEN Box Set or Wave: Wolverine (new sculpt that can successfully be reused to make brown suit later) Storm (prototype shown but w/bigger hair & CLOTH cape for more posability PLEASE!) Nightcrawler Colossus Banshee (new sculpt w/ colllar & orange hair) Sunfire Thunderbird Build-A-Figure: Krakoa the living Island! (could be very cool), or The Danger Room, or the Blackbird. Original X-MEN Box Set or Wave: Cyclops Marvel Girl Beast Angel IceMan Prof. X Build-A-Figure: X-Mansion Entrance, or The Danger Room Brotherhood of Evil Mutants Box Set or Wave: Magneto Scarlet Witch Quicksilver Toad Blob (or Sauron) Mastermind Build-A-Figure: I'm not sure, What do you think? 2-packs: recreate classic fights Cyclops vs. Dark Phoenix Storm vs. Callisto Thing vs. Hulk Thing vs. Wolverine Evil White Queen vs. Storm Thor vs. Loki
  10. Seperate X-Men line or not, we MUST have more female figures!! my wants: #1 Classic (aka 1st apperance) STORM (with variant of in her new retro costume) let's face it Storm looks best w/ her clasic tiara look. -Polaris - Classic Scarlet Witch - Forge (in his X-Men costume) -90s Jean Grey - battle damaged Wolverine (you know they've got to have a wolverine in the line) - FA Dazzler (with a modern variant) There are more X-females that haven't been made that i want than males. But i wouldn't mind having Northstar and Aurora - but i feel like they could be in a regular ML line and not just an X-Men one....

  13. Hi everyone, I'm new to boards. I got my Black Queen Fri. night at local TRU. They had several there. She's cool, though somewhat innacuate. (Missing classic laceup corset & thigh-high boots) Nice hair color choice but her skin is a bit light. Funny we have two Jean Grey figures from Hasbro already. (Marvel Girl & Black Queen). Keep the X-MEN (& women) coming Hasbro! I'd love a Giant-Size X-Men Box Set re-do (6-inch) or a 2 pack series with classic (70s) & modern (90s) costumes (Wolvie, Cyke, Storm, Jean, White Queen)
