I was hugely into the XMen and Fantastuic Four when I was young. I remember turning my Masters of the universe into Xmen (I painted He man Silver as colussus, Teela had a white stripe in her hair as Rogue and I made Zodiac Wolverine Claws). I was depserate for X Men figures!! I always kept my eye on the Comics but resisted the temptation to buy any ML's, even though I saw them in the shops and loved 'em! Then I got bought the XMen trilogy on DVD, although I had seen them at the cinema, I enjoyed them more on DVD. ON the afternoon after watching X3, I went to Woolworths and there was a lone Shadowcat figure on the shelves, reduced! I bought her and then wehen I got home, I decided to pay a visit to Forbidden Planet, that afternoon and bought Iceman, Beast and Nightcrawler. I vowed not to buy anymore but the next week I found myself at Toyrs R Us where they were selling X figures for £2.99 and bought Wolverine, Colussus, Cyclops, Storm, Juggernaught, Angel, and Gambit! i was then hooked and the rest followed!

I really like Wolfsbane, although she is smaller, it doesn't matter cos she is crouched.

I have wolfsbane and Warlock from the new Mutants line and they work but the Magik figure didn't so I used her accessories for a custom

[see I only collect X Men and to be honest I probably wouldn;t buy new versions of the figures. I only like to have one version of each figure, so i guess it would put me in a quandry. I really want Polaris and i would love the New Mutants but I am happy with my X Men

Thanks - see I was a coward with Sunspot, I picked him up for £2.00 in a sale. So it was kind of like a no lose situation that I thought I would try. The photo has picked up the difference between the paint on wonderman and the black paint I used but actually in reality it doesn't look that different. I really wanted the boots and and belt but was a bit scared to go with it with the paint! After doing Magik, I feel a bit more confident and I am sure I will improve! It's one of those things you really want it to look good but I found it really difficult to, as I have never painted anything before!! I will probably repaint Sunspot over the weekend, as I feel a bit more confident now. I bought the New Mutants figures and although Wolfsbane and warlock were good, the Magik figure was awful and looked terrible with my ML X-Men. So I used the skirt, headress and boots from that. I hate the Black Widows neck but the hair and the costume worked. I found figurerealm last week and had my heart set on doing a custom, even if it was bad!! Some of the customs are amazing, so I hop with practise I can improve but I don;t think would ever be able to do anything to intricate!

I would like New Mutants, I guess but then I have forked out for Cannonball and Domino so I would hate to get him again, which would be the downside for me

I have been looking at people's customs here and other places and I decided I would try to create two of the New Mutants. It's bloody hard Obviously you want them to look professional but I am sure practise will help! I need to take more time but when I started I wanted them finished!! Anyway - don't laugh, be kind! Hi I have posted before but have added some figures. I have Marvel Girl and Deathpool on their way but I fancied taking some pics. I also thought I would try and Customise as well - first time I have ever done naything like it - and I need practise!! Respect to all those people who are great at it! I will try and do some others tho, as practise makes perfect and I enjoyed doing it! My problem was I couldn't be bothered to wait and wanted them finished NOW as I was painting but I now have a Sunspot and Magik (A bad Sunspot and Magik but mine all the same!)

Is that Warlock I see between Cable and Domino? Yeah! Heh neat, I had forgotten that the New Mutants figs even existed. Wolfsbane is on the right. I am waiting for Magik to arrive. Once I get the figures I have ordered I will take some closer pictures and post them. So far I have; Bashee, Juggernaught, X-23, Psylocke, Bishop, Beast, Xorn, Longshot, Phoenix, Sabretooth, Havok, Nightcrawler, professor X, Storm, Angel, Shadowcat, Wolverine, White Queen, Iceman, Rogue, Gambit, Colussus, Cannonball, Cable, Warlock, Domino and Wolfsbane. Not bad for a couple months work. A few more to come. I was really into the Xmen and have started collecting again years later!
