  1. If they knew, you think they would have either held off a bit or the various companies would have requested the news be released while they had product actively on shelves. Some more figures seem like a good idea right now. I haven't seen any of these figures pegwarming anywhere, so I'm assuming that means they sold pretty well.
  2. I ordered Mr. Freeze online and really like him. I've reviewed him here with quite a few pics (it's tough to get his helmet without much glare):DC Multiverse Mr. Freeze I ran into Bane, Deadshot, and Batman at TRU yesterday, but just wasn't that impressed by them. Interestingly, my first Mr. Freeze had two QC issues, so I got a replacement and my second was just fine.
  3. I finally got around to buying this guy. He's really very, very cool. So creepy and weird. Definitely reminds me of the stuff McFarlane put out back in their prime. I reviewed him last night. Better late than never, right?: Solomon Grundy review
  4. OK, I have also got around to reviewing The Penguin: 1966 The Penguin and The Riddler: The Riddler You can probably find some decent deals on these guys if you look around, although they are getting more scarce as well. The Riddler is a pretty average but the Penguin is quite good. I was looking at all of my Penguin figures last night and I do believe he might be my favorite.
  5. So I snagged this guy during the Amazon sale in December and just got around to opening him. He's terrible. This is easily the worst Batman figure I've ever owned. I reviewed him here, and it was a painful experience: Beware the Batman Review Anyone else buy this guy? Am I exaggerating or missing something here? I haven't scene the show and would be interested in figures of some of the characters from it, but I hope to God they aren't like this!
  6. So like a lot of others, I ended up snagging most of these guys on Amazon for around $5 bucks. I wasn't overly thrilled with the Batman I bought back in August, but I really love Surf's Up Batman. He's much, much better than the regular version for some reason. I honestly think it's the trunks. Anyways, I reviewed him last night as part of a crazy week of Batman reviews that I'm working on. Enjoy: 1966 Surf's Up Batman
  7. All the great pictures made me want to snap this guy up, and he definitely doesn't disappoint! Arkham Origins Batman I'd love to see a battle damaged version of this figure from closer to the end of the game. It's not often that I'm asking for retools in a line, but this sculpt is so good I wouldn't mind seeing it again.
  8. I just got mine tonight and reviewed him a few minutes ago here: Total Heroes Batman Review I actually really like him. He's much more articulated than you would think and the accessories are pretty cool. I actually think he kind of looks like the Greg Capullo artwork from the New 52 Batman series.
  9. While I was really looking forward to Strongarm and thought Plundor would not be a favorite, I actually ended up really liking Plundor and not being overly fond of Strongarm. He's just..plain. He feels to me like a generic 80's videogame villain, you know- someone you'd see walking back and forth on an NES game. Anyways, I did review him last night. First review of the New Year!:Strongarm/ Strong-or Review
  10. I got mine in a day or two before Christmas but only got around too reviewing this thing last night. It's pretty neat and the lights and sounds are pretty nice. I kind of wish Mattel skewed more towards prop replica than high end toy, but I'm not displeased with it. Anyways, here's my review. Anyone else pick this up? If so, make sure you use new batteries. I used some older batteries and it really diminished the electronic features.
  11. Just wanted to throw my Plundor review up: here it is! I actually think he's one of the better Filmation figures in terms of fitting in with the Classics style. While his design is unusual (giant pink bunny) the style is fairly detailed and complex. You know, for a heavily reused figure.
  12. I just this guy and really, really like him. Probably one of my favorite DC Collectibles releases from the last year or so. My review is here: New 52 Deathstroke Review
  13. The Rabbit hole Batman is crazy awesome! I've already preordered mine. What a bizarre, unique, and fun variant.
  14. I have a feeling that after series 3 gets released Han will be pretty easy to come by. Some places have heavily discounted preorders for him already.
  15. Better late than never, huh? I finally got around to getting Kwinn and getting him reviewed. While I haven't bought many Joe figures this past year (I haven't seen many Joe figures this past year) I did go out of my way to snag Kwinn and he's amazing. I've reviewed him here: Kwinn Review
  16. Awesome find! It's really cool to see those rare second series Hook toys! I had the Crocodile and the Hook with the Cannons (still have him somewhere) but I had never seen the others. Anyways, the silver launcher and missile in the top middle go to the Jurassic Park Jungle Explorer. The purple bat shaped piece was able to be dropped from a Batman vehicle. I can't remember which one at the moment, however. The black batarang and yellow handcuffs are from the Batman Animated Combat Batman (the standard looking Batman figure from that line). The Purple disc should fit over that mountedmissile launcher and goes with the Batman figure with the gridlike textured suit you couldn't identify. It's from Batman Returns. The black chains, I believe, went with a Little Dracula figure called Deadwood. He was a purple zombie like creature that was bendable. Made by bandai around 91. The Batsuit went with the Michael Keaton Bruce Wayne from either Batman: The Dark Knight Collection or Batman Returns. Kenner rereleased many figures from the first series with sometimes no change made for Batman Returns. The black "squishy" cylinder was probably from one of the Batman or Batmans Returns variants like the ice armor Batman or the deep dive batman. It attached to a launcher and used air to fire a torpedo of some kind. If you're interested in selling any of your Batman stuff, shoot me a PM
  17. That sucks, man. And from what Scott has said on He-Man.org, it sounds like they'll make you fully ship the castle back, not just send you an orb holder. Have you contacted Matty/ Digital River yet?
  18. I got my Castle Grayskull yesterday and have been playing with it as much as possible. Have questions about Grayskull such as how large is it, what does it do, and does it have a lavatory? If so, then check out my FAQ/ Review here: Casle Grayskull FAQ/ Review. Has anyone else got there castle yet?
  19. I picked up my first figure from the new Hobbit line and am really impressed. I've wanted a Radagast the Brown for years so he was the main figure I had my eye on. He's magnificent! You can really see Sylvester McCoy's likeness. Plus he's got a neat hat that fits on him well and looks good both on and off. Not something you see too often on smaller toys (under the 1/6th scale really). Radagast the Brown Review
  20. I just got my first bag of these little guys and I am loving them. I reviewed them last night: Mordles: Sect of Rand Review I ordered the Sect of Rand set and had a blast posing them around a Lego fortress and making them little minions for my MOTUC Shokoti. Anyone else using these for anything cool? I wonder if ToyFinity will ever make the larger creatures from Rocks & Bugs & Things....
  21. Just reviewed Battle Shell Raphael: Battle Shell Raph I'm not really digging these. I love the shell feature, but everything else seems like a step backwards from last year's release of the basic Raphael.
  22. Just got her over the past week and finished a review. I really like her. Anyone's who knows me knows I'm a huge Batgirl fan, so I had to add this figure to the collection! She seems very different stylistically than the previous Ame-Comi figures, although that's not a bad thing. Here's a link to the review: Steampunk Batgirl
  23. Just got my review of Geldor posted: Geldor Review He's actually a pretty nice figure. Slightly plain, but with a good headsculpt. He'd fit in really well alongside characters like Vikor, Vykron, and Demo-Man that capture the older sword and sorcery look.
  24. It's tough to tell from the pictures but the shield actually is cast in a translucent yellow plastic to give it an energy effect type of appearance.
  25. Just managed to get my Sea Hawk review up here: Sea Hawk Review I don't think his hefty look is as bad in person if you're considering it to be in line with the bulkiness of the vintage figures, but yeah it is noticeable. I can't say it was a deal killer for me, however, as I really like the figure. The accessories are fun, especially how you can attach the Falcon shield to his wrist so that it looks like it is emanating from the Impact Ring.
