  1. I'm so excited about this line! I actually contacted these guys and did an interview with Bryan Katzel of Warpo. Check it out here: Legends of Cthulhu interview
  2. I just don't see it happening. Not enough new stuff and too expensive at retail. They're fine at Wal-Mart, Target, and K-mart when you can find them, but Toys R Us is charging around 15-16 clams for these guys. You're right about the lack of characters, though. They're just too tough to find. Hasbro's Smashers has a great roster out the door already while Total Heroes just feels like its been on life support since day one. The Black Manta and Cyborg that were online exclusives looked nice, though.
  3. Where did ya find him? I found him on Amazon. He's still there, too! I just picked up Drax who is pretty darn near perfect. I love his articulation and he doesn't have the gummy, rubbery joints! Drax Review I'm really wanting to track down Nova, Guardian, and Rocket now. I'll pick up Iron Man on sale, as he seems to be easy to find.
  4. If there weren't so many other great lines out that I was collecting, I'd probably try to get these, but so many of these characters have been done recently and have so much reuse (even accessories). I'd snap Joe figures up at retail again in a heartbeat. I'll probably pick up some of the 50th anniversary stuff, too, if I run across it. This just seems like even more of a commitment than Matty's MOTUC, and at least those guys are larger and a bit more unique.
  5. Amazon often carries NECA's action figure stands and another brand. Not sure if they'd work or not. I've actually moved to using the metal doll stands that use a metal wire ring to hold the figure up. They look nice and really keep your figures standing up straight. Once again, I bought them on Amazon.
  6. I just picked up my first Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends Infinite figure the other day: Star-Lord! I'm loving this guy. He has a ton of accessories with him and is just a stellar looking figure. I reviewed him here just in case anyone is interested or undecided: Star Lord review, man!
  7. Just added Dark Horse Deluxe's Eddard "Ned" Stark to the collection. I reviewed him here. I can't wait for series three of these figures!
  8. I decided to go with the Dark Horse Deluxe stuff due to FunKo's QC issues. I snagged Tyrion Lannister first and reviewed him yesterday: Tyrion Lannister Review I like these a lot. I've ordered the rest that are currently available. They kind of remind me of the MOTU Stactions or the old Frazetta toyline fron N2 Toys.
  9. Anyone else collect these? I think the stuff October Toys is putting out could quite quite possibly be one of my favorite collectible lines at the moment. They've got a new drop on Thursday (purple Zombie Pheyden and Purple Brocotal) so I'm definitely going to try and score those guys. I got Winter Blues Zombie Pheyden a few weeks ago, but my life has been so hectic that I really just got around to checking him out last night. I reviewed him here! Man, I'm just a sucker for minifigures. I'm loving MWOTR, SUCKLES, and all of the October Stuff. Any other good minifigure lines out there?
  10. Anyone here collecting these? I just managed to get a set of the newest Pearlescent Neon Green three pack and reviewed them last night: MWOTR Neon Green set If you're into MUSCLE, OMFG, Monster in my Pocket, or any other similar minifigure lines, you'll probably dig these. They release a mixture of expnsive figures (limited editions and done in a different material) and then less exspensive PVC versions, which are these guys. They've released these guys in a number of different colors, but I hope they release some new PVC sculpts soon.
  11. The third and final series three review: Luke Skywalker in his Bespin Fatigues! Bespin Luke Review
  12. Figure looks good. Real winner. Love the aerosol can!
  13. Yeah, I'm getting a little miffed about DC Collectibles packing in new figures with so many rereleases. I mean, I could kind of understand this if these were sold at mainstream retail but these are sold pretty directly to collectors who have probably already bought these figures. Fortunately, I didn't pick up that Batman or Nightwing so I think I'm in good shape here. Still, a little variation would have been nice, y'know?
  14. Yeah, I think everywhere has Slave Leia in abundance. Never thought I'd say that! Last night I reviewed the Stormtrooper. He's easily the star of series three: Stormtrooper review
  15. Obi-Wan Kenobi reviewed right here:Obi-Wan Kenobi Review I think he's my least favorite figure in the line so far. I love Ewan's portrayal of Obi-Wan, but this figure is just really weak overall. I think had he came with a cloak that I'd have been much happier. He just seems so incomplete without it.
  16. My Deadshot's arm fell off right in the package....: Deadshot Review
  17. Here's a review of Firefly: Firefly review Easily my second favorite figure from this series!
  18. Here's another review of ol' Slade. Unfortunately, his sword broke. Deathstroke review
  19. This guy is amazing! Much, much better than the AA Killer Croc: Killer Croc Review His arms don't break off at all!
  20. I just got these guys, and I am loving Anarky! His molotov cocktail is one of the coolest accessories ever! I reviewed him, too: Anarky Review
  21. I'm really glad that the next series of figures is hitting. Those do look really good. I reviewed the Hydra Agent although I'm guessing he's old news by now, eh? Anyways, here's the link: Hydra Agent
  22. Just got the Red Skull to review: Red Skull Marvel Legends Review Not a terrible figure, but he's definitely got some problems. I love the head sculpt and the accessories but hate those limbs! Also, it just drives me crazy when a figure can't hold a weapon in a holster. I love the funky cosmic gun, but hate that his holster wasn't retooled to fit it (or that Skull simply didn't come with two smaller pistols).
  23. I got Batgirl in just this past week! While I've really been captivated by the Bombshells line, I have to say that Batgirl is a bit disappointing. I really think it's the headsculpt as her aviatrix cap covers far too much of her face and her head is turned at an awkward angle that really inhibits display options. Anyways, check out the review of her here: Bombshells Batgirl
  24. I just got my Deadshot reviewed. I love this guy! His rifle is one of the coolest accessories in quite sometime! Deadshot review
  25. I was a Kickstarter backer for the project and just got around to reviewing this awesome package of minifigures from the Super Sucklord himself! S.U.C.K.L.E. review These are fantastic and I ended up with 40 figures for about 40 bucks. not a bad deal. If you like OMFG, MUSCLE, or any similar lines, these might just be up your alley. I'm wondering when these will go on sale to the general public, as that seems to be part of the plan from the Kickstarter pitch.
