    Review: Mary Jane

i think shes looking for parker's peter @smilepunch@
  4. id say have them wait a year and scale up their F4 legends thing. or do a six inch movie set.
  5. cant say im surprised. i had a similar problem with the reactivated batman, and they told me to take him back to the store and get a new one. THAT DOES NOT COUNT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, DCD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. i doubt any amalgram characters are going to be made, since that would require mattel and hasbro working together, and well...
  7. wolverine! i mean we just dont have enough of him! id like to see a good magneto, or a redone xavier and phoenix.
  8. i think thats just the comic shop prices. they will probably be around $10
  9. the lack of comics thing has more to do with toybiz getting them free since they are part of marvel and hasbro having to pay for them.
  10. invisible woman. why didnt they use that hip design more than three times (sue, black widow, storm)?
  11. id also have to say the movie spideys, and since we havent gotten MJ or JJJ in six inch scale yet, them too. its not that far of a stretch...
  12. doesnt that kinda kill the point of your question?
  13. what happens to you when you eat a york peppermint patty? will we see the return of the spider-man comic style line?
  14. it really depends on how you count it. if your just going by how the character looked, a lot of them could be in there. here's the ones off the top of my head that actually say "first appearance": daredevil (2) spider-man (2) hulk wolverine sabretooth thing captain america iron man quicksilver edit: okay, i had to bring this up. the gray armor for iron man only lasted for one issue. just one. he wore it in tales of suspense 39, and in t.o.s. 40, he debuted with his golden armor with the skirt (jack kirby is really starting to look weird as i get into marvel more), yet for some reason, everyone defines his gray clunker as iconic because he wore it in his first appearance. unless i see some gold on the one in the movie, im gonna bring this back up.
  15. I really hope not. Unless they want to lose more people. my guess is it'll stay close to the $10. mattel is smart enough to realize they can't raise the price more than 2 bucks and still keep most of their customers.
  16. black cat made me realizae something else: if you dont open them, you cant build the BAFs.
  17. i remember buying a certain ML which is on a buy 1 take 1 basis. the take 1 happened to be deathlok. i opened it and he can't move both of his arms and his right thigh. i forced them to move so that i can make him strike a pose. and then, the arms broke. so did the right thigh. now, i have an amputated deathlok. my bro bought this longshot fig, and straight right off the packaging, he can't stand. same thing for his mystique fig. and his green goblin ML cant stand on his glider, no matter what effort you give. these are the reasons why i don't open my MLs. but i really want my avengers on my shelves. i have dreams about them posed on my shelves. dut i'm afraid i'd be disappointed if i ever encounter even one of those VERY LOOSE or VERY TIGHT joints that hinder poseability or even just making the fig stand. as for the value of the packaged figures, am i right that the people who don't open their figs coz they would lose their value are people who plan to sell their figs in the future? thats baloney. who cares about value? and loose joints can be fixed with some superglue treatment or a stand, while loose joints can be either warmed or chilled.
  18. for stuck joints, you could also toss em in the freezer for about an hour so the plastic doesnt break when you try to move it. i said open, because toys are meant to be enjoyed, packaging is a waste of space, and they are playthings.

does anyone know whether or not marvel toys has the legal rights to make a spawn figure? it would be the best one to date, mainly because it would actually be able to move.
