  1. Yow! This is the first I had heard of $15 for the Hulk waves. Sure, I guess I can understand the price hike with a supposed gigantic BAF and filled with huge brick type characters (for the most part...) - but that means Foom will cost around what? $150 - $175? I forget exactly how many figures are in the combined waves. well, theres four in each wave, so thats eight combined, which comes out to 119.82 + shpping an handling, tax and what have you. no doubt will there be bitching about the price hike, but they are still technically cheaper than the face off sets.
  2. well, hasbro said they would be 15 bucks since most of the figures qould be face off hulk sized, so unless all future legends are that big, i think its just temporary.
  3. i am one out of 500 people... that doesnt give a crap. im not really into the whole "variant" game, unless its something significant, like stealth/golden iron men, and spider-woman 2. besides, the way the packaging is, someone could have opened it, reversed the bubble, and glued it back together. yes, they would have had to have been concentrated as hell, but it's still do able. im not sure a brick and mortar store would do that, but some ebayers will stoop really low.
  4. if the spider-man heroes and villains are 6", then them, iron man movie and hulk legends.
  5. i think the leadership will be split between wolvy and beast. besides, thats just the trailer for the first three episodes, not the actual series.
  6. toad and wolverine were from a series of two packs that featured the character in their movie figures and comic style. wolverine was the only one released i think, but he got retooled for massive articulation, while toad obviously did not. the only downside for wolvy was his size, though.
  7. thats pretty much what i meant.
  8. "your kid's a mutant. deal with it." so is xavier going to die in like the first episode?
  9. hasbro should make a version of wolverine like the one from their first icons wvae. even though it was never in the comics (that i know of), it makes sense and above all, its cool. if you dont know what im talknig about here:

    smaller packages

The answer is likely both. Smaller cards means mean smaller bubbles on the cards, and that means less overall space to pack in stuff into those bubbles. This unless the packaging format drops the card-backs and goes to all acetate bubbles with paper inserts like McFarlane. The size drop can be mitigated by going deeper in the bubble, but there's a point where that has to stop. THe depth of the bubbles affects how many individual cards/packages can be fitted into a case for shipping out. If the case lot size decreases then it starts to affect other things, because the per-unit decreases, but overall shipping costs for each unit would INCREASE because they are sening out less items per case. Unless they change the size of their shipping cases...... The size change is doubtlessly a cost-saving mesaure, and probably will not affect the product itself all that much. Yes, BAFs might be spread over a larger number of figures again, but in doing so, they can give us a greater number of individual characters and/or variants. There's trade-offs here, but mostly positive ones, I think---and if you like the aesthetic of the packaging because of this its just another plus. they said there will only be six figure waves.

    smaller packages

yeah, we are. we gotta about a month until we have things worth discusiing (actually about a week with toyfair).
  12. he has a blueish tint to his costume. i personally cant tell the difference between the two, but my eyes suck
  13. then go on ebay and pay the 30 bucks for one...
  14. ill probably get most of them, except for the snap no armor. i just dont see the point of it. i may also skip the mark 2.
  15. Sure, you want red & blue spidey or black? does it matter? if they can all fit, both, but if not black cuz he looks kewl. THANKS, RYNO!
  16. thor had a variant?
  17. thats what wikipedia is for #US1#
  18. im talking about titanium man, who has different details than the other two. i guess it could be photoshopped, if someone was so damn determined to get the missing details on there.

    steal of a deal

im going to get a stealth iron man for about $25 w/ shipping. beat that!
  20. we,, it comes with the same description crap the others did. besides, how can someone make a custom of a figure thats not out yet?
  21. the comics were dropped because hasbro would have had to pay extra for them, driving the cost up even more. toybiz probably got them free because they are a subsidary of marvel. for me, it isnt a great loss, mainly because they rarely featured the best stories.
  22. clam, your crazy to tink ML15 spider-woman is a good figure. the webbing restricts the arms, she has no wrist swivel, and has giant man hands!
  23. it is a good idea though, have a separate- non ML line for more popular characters, and keep the b and c stars in legends.
  24. well, after studying the pics for thoroughly (by which i mean for a few seconds), the one that is the "official" version has a bit of a lighter chest and trunk colors than cal's, but that could just be the flash was on when they took the pics.
