  1. Agreed. In general, I prefer any ship designs from the TNG-era over the TOS-era, but the Warbird is a huge improvement over the Bird of Prey, moreso than say, the Enterprise or Klingon Battle Cruiser redesigns.
  2. Still haven't seen these in stores myself. From the online pictures, I think I'll start by getting the Enterprise D, then deciding whether the others are worth it based on my impression of the D. Anyone know if the line will be extended beyond the three waves listed on Entertainment Earth? I'd like to see more stuff from the TNG/DS9/Voyager era. A TNG Romulan Warbird and a Klingon Battle Cruiser would be great additions to the line.
  3. Check out Rotten Tomatoes: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/star_trek_11/ Everyone who has reviewed it there LOVES it (well, except for the British guy that thinks the plot is a mess, but even he likes it). This movie is going to be huge.
  4. Ah, but that's not all! Two of these crates are more than they first appear to be!
  5. I made some more crates to go in my open bed truck. Here's all of the new ones (plus the old one shown above). Here they are in the bed of the truck. Here's a close up of two of my favorites.
  6. They're actually difficult to find now, because Big Lots only stocks them for the Christmas season. Once they're gone, they're gone until the next Christmas season. You'll have better luck in October or November.
  7. As a bonus, here's a picture of my Thugee army.
  8. First up is the Camel. These are just the Power Team Elite/World Peacekeeper Camels you can find at Big Lots for $3 a pop. The one on the left is untouched, the one on the right has been drybrushed. Next is the German Cargo Truck with an open bed and wood panels. The great part about this custom is that the panels are easily removed so that the regular top can be put back on. Finally, here is a small crate to go in the Cargo Truck. I plan on making several more of these in a variety of sizes.
  9. If Lego or Hasbro did a mine car with track I would definitely buy it. They are doing a mine car with track. The early "leak pictures" are out on the web various places. Go to TheRaider.Net message boards under Collecting Indy to find them.
  10. The only rational reason I've heard is because that wrist is being used on the Hall of Heroes release, and they don't want to kill any chance for sales of that figure by releasing it in a multi-pack prior to its' single-pack release. (Please note I said "rational" reason, not "good" reason). Well, instead they'll be killing the sales for this Viper pack exclusive. I would've definitely bought one, maybe more, if they'd used the fixed arms. As it is, I won't buy even one. Hasbro needs to learn from their mistakes, and the only way they will learn is if we don't buy the bad product.
  11. Yeah, I know that they were available briefly on Walmart.com, but there have been no in-store sightings up to this point besides this unconfirmed report. I'm really hoping that we'll see them there (especially with the $3 clearance prices currently in effect), but I'm highly doubtful until I see a substantiated report.
  12. Have you bought a Viper yet? This is not a "minor" problem. It's a significant flaw in the Viper. Go ahead and buy 5 or 6, I'll wait for the moment when Hasbro fixes this pack (or makes something similar to it) in the future.
  13. Uhhh, what?!?! You seriously found the TOD wave at Wal-Mart? No one has reported finding these in the U.S. at any place other than Kroeger's chain of grocery stores or Meijers. Only Canadian Wal-Marts have been receiving the TOD wave. If this is true, then it could be huge information for those of us still looking for the TOD wave. Let me ask to confirm. You actually saw the wave of 4" TOD figures? All six? If you were to purchase them and take a picture of them with your receipt, that would help confirm your statement. Until then, I'm going to be skeptical that the much-coveted TOD wave has finally hit Wal-Mart.
  14. What?!?! Seriously??? I was definitely going to pick this thing up, figuring that it would run no more than $40, but at $50, it's a pass.
  15. Just picked up Spiral, UJ, and variant Wolvie to finish off my set. I was shocked when they rang up @ $14.99. What a rip off. I can't understand why they'd jack them up so much with the similar DC figures selling for only $10.99. Hopefully Wal-Mart doesn't follow suit with their exclusive wave.
  16. I agree that Hasbro or Mattel wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole, but I think it's not far out of the realm of what companies like NECA or Mezco have produced in the past. While I think a retro wave of Claude, Tommy, and CJ would be great, I don't seem to have the attachment to those characters that I have to Niko, despite have playing since the very beginning when GTA III was released on the PS2. Ultimately, I think GTA IV has a much more compelling storyline, which makes it perfect for a line of action figures.
  17. Nice! Not quite an "action" figure, but an impressive statue nonetheless.
  18. Why isn't there a company producing GTA IV figures? It would be perfect for NECA or Mezco. I'd buy. Suggested Wave 1: Niko Bellic (fresh off the boat outfit) Roman Little Jacob Brucie (shirtless with weights) Suggested Wave 2: Niko Bellic (dressed in a Perseus suit, as in the bank job) Packie McCreary Dwayne Playboy X
  19. Nope, Cyborg and Hawkman figures still not out yet. EntertainmentEarth has release dates posted for the cases with those figs, and they're scheduled for later in the year and early next year. I think they also list Robin and the Joker as coming out. Also, regarding the difference between the Marvel and DC figs, it's pretty negligible. The Spidey & Friends have significantly larger feet than the Superfriends, but otherwise they're pretty similar.
  20. Didn't realize Wal-Mart still carried these figs.
  21. Wow. Hasbro really needs to play catch-up with their Marvel Legends line now.
  22. Just 'cause I'm such a nice guy... Halo Toy Pics
  23. Has anyone noticed the cardback, which actually shows a regular Johnny Storm head? It looks pretty decent, and shows that Hasbro obviously made a regular hair verson, but ultimately chose to go a different way. I don't know what the heck Hasbro was thinking when they chose the troll hair version over the regular hair. It looks so bad it is laughable. How that one passed quality control is beyond me. Anyway, we're sure that there won't be any variants, right? Because I'm really hoping that they made a regular head Johnny that we just don't know about yet.
  24. I know I am. It keeps me up at nights...
