  1. These might be what you're looking for. I've never actually bought them, but I believe someone on this board used them for LOTR figures, which are the exact same scale as ML. http://store.spawn.com/detail.aspx?ID=297
  2. Looking great! Can't wait to see the finished product! And to everyone else, I would also love to see a Select version of Conquest-Ultron, as that throne is too cool not to be made. A Select release is more likely anyways, seeing how they seem to be doing figures of very recent storylines.
  3. Ultron needed a new figure anyways to replace that obsolete Legendary Riders crap we were given a while ago, and I nominate Conquest-Ultron as the best candidate for his new figure. Pros: -Look at him! I mean seriously, look at him! Does that not look absolutely wicked? -Even though he's an entirely different design from his traditional look, he still manages to look classic thanks to his non-dog head. -Cape. A robot with a cape. -Toybiz's Ultron was pretty crappy, so many of us displeased with Hasbro's paint/articulation will find that it's impossible to lower the standard. Cons: -Are you kidding me? The only people who wouldn't want a figure of Conquest-Ultron are communist liars, and even then, they're liars... So they'd probably secretly want one anyways.
  4. Sweet. I am one of three people on this board so far who actually voted for Sunfire.
  5. Who's making fun? I love that story! And the 90's had some pretty cool stories btw, not counting Heroes Reborn. Yeah, like the Clone Saga! Classic story-telling, right there!
  6. Let the 90s die. Please? And don't make fun of my Capwolf!
  7. I knew if I kept checking back on these boards, Hasbro would eventually release something that could impress me. Bravo, Hasbro. Bravo! Definitely getting Modern Armor, Mark01, and Iron Monger.
  8. actually Frankenstein has fought the avengers during the Celestial Madonna Saga as one of the legion of the unliving. what i always wondered about the legion of the unliving. how is bucky back and was a russian agent the whole time, if he was also in the legion of the unliving? i guess wonder man was in the legion of the unliving and came back but hes super powered. but bucky? Eh, it just sounds like a continuity flub to me. Writers make mistakes when they're excited.
  9. Interestingly, Moon Knight was actually introduced as an opponent for Werewolf by Night. As other users have already posted, the Marvel Monsters boxset is definitely part of the MU.

    Danger Room

Looking great! And PVB, I'm pretty sure 'bomb' is a safe word to say, as long as you're not on a plane.

I think that's pretty freaking awesome. Your strength truly comes out through your paint. The opinion of a guy who hasn't smocked anything. #US1#
  12. Enjoy, friend! http://www.wizarduniverse.com/magazine/toyfare/005883235.cfm
  13. I'm not flaming or anything, but holy hell do those prototypes looked terrible (Lilandra and Gambit especially). The only ones I liked were Magneto, Storm, and Sunfire. I REALLY hope that these pictures are the same situation that happened with the HML2 prototypes. I definitely wouldn't mind if Magneto, Storm, or Sunfire won, though. They look REALLY nice sculpt-wise, IMO.
  14. I can dig it. Love for the Thunderbolts is severely lacking.
  15. Great custom! I kinda expected you to stick a Wolverine head onto a Daredevil body, but I'm glad you didn't take the lazy route. Kudos!

    Wave 5 BAF?

I haven't really been keeping up with HML5, but this is not the first time I've seen the BAF for this wave being speculated as one of those three choices. Is there any evidence indicating that these characters are the top three choices, or are they just a fanboy's wetdream blown out of proportion?
  17. Deathlok existed well before Captain Planet!!! Yes, yes, but my point is that Captain Planet is the eponymous environmentalist. And Deathlok is from the future, isn't he? Maybe he was actually from a post-Captain Planet future and went back to the 70s to try to be THE envrionmentalist superhero! ...And still failed.
  18. There was an awful lot to say about a Captain Planet reject... Did Marvel ever try to create any other characters to jump on the environmentalist bandwagon?
  19. Hey, here's an idea: you don't question my knowledge of my favorite fictional character of all time, and I don't question your knowledge of punctuation and grammar. Deal? Deal. I'm going to go over this very slowly, to ensure there is no misunderstanding. The source material for the Spider-Man 3 lines is the movie trilogy and the video game media. The Scorpion figure is accurate to the video game design. The source material for the Spider-Man 3 video game is any and all interpretations of the Scorpion costume over the years. So, your declaration that someone at Hasbro be fired for the redesign is rooted in ignorence, because Hasbro didn't redesign the character's costume. In fact, Hasbro made the completely logical choice to pull from the "expanded" movie cannon offered by the video games. (Or otherwise the five inch Spidey line would have only been as large as the Marvel Legends Spidey trilogy line.) Now, if you are of the opinion that classic costumes should never be changed, that's fine. However, that is a completely different debate. The fact is, the Scorpion costume was changed for the Spidey 3 video game, and Hasbro was completely in the right to use that design for the figure. It would have been foolish to do otherwise. And, as a Spidey fan since I was nine years old, I'm not insulted that they've done so. What I am insulted by, however, is the intolorence of you and others of a similar mindset for different aspects of the characters' histories. Regardless of your impressions, I do love the classic era, particularly Gerry Conway's original run. (I'd better love it, or the money I spent to have a complete collection of Essential Spidey volumes is wasted.) However, I'm not going to disparage what comes later simply because it isn't "classic". I'll disparage it, sure, but on individual aesthetic or story-telling grounds. And what I certainly won't do is try to browbeat others when their tates differ from my own. As I said earlier, I think the classic Luke Cage costume is ridiculous, and I'd have preferred that Toy Biz make the modern version, but that is only my individual preference, and I'm not going to tell anyone they're wrong to like it. The bottom line is, everyone's deal is equally real. Here, here! Well said, sir!

    Review: Mary Jane

On the bright side, at least display bases are making a come-back!! I don't exactly remember where this particular MJ figure, its wooden plank accessory, or its base is supposed to be from in the movies, but I'm guessing the plank is supposed to explain why MJ's face looks beaten and bruised! Just what we needed: accessories with a backstory! Go Hasbro!
  21. Verrry nice. An arsenal for Punishers of all scales, shapes, and sizes!
