  1. I always loved superheros, I used to wear my Batman Pajamas all the time around the house (in fact I still do and I'm 25! Kidding) I had all of the secret wars, he-man, thundercats, superpowers et. figures. Later I started collecting all of the 90's toybiz marvel stuff and when the Legends came along, well I just had to get everything I could. I guess I've just always been a greedy little jerk that way.
  2. When did Hasbro announce this? Is it on their website?
  3. Black Cat from the spider-man boxed set, I wonder when she'll get a decent figure.
  4. Will you be my friend bowski? You just seem to make my days a little brighter.
  5. Uh that would fall under the first one ##$%$#. Also, I'm assuming you scored more than 5 right? Here's another one for you 21. Looking through website posts over 2 days old Nice try, but I didn't have to go look anything up. I saw the post, saw your name and said to myself "oh yeah, that's the same dildo from the other thread who thought he was cool and started that thread about overpaying for those POS figures and completely got ripped for it." It was pretty easy, actually. ugh, I called myself on it, and so did you and so did everyone else in the other post. Thank you for bringing that post over here because I'm sure you feel real good about yourself when you fight through posts. May I remind you that I'm not the one who brought up the price, actually no one even answered my question which was the original post. I asked if anyone had seen them here in the states and some douche, probably you, brought up the price. So if anyone else wants to point out what I already pointed out about finding them here as soon as I paid an ungodly sum for two figures then why don't you just go back to last weeks post and add it there. Anyway, why don't you just admit how many of these you are and be done with it? I'm guessing you have a goatee right? Do you work at a video store.....I bet you do. Oh, and I don't think I'm cool,I know I'm cool, my mom said so Somebody would have probably answered your question if they weren't so busy clowning on you for getting raped on a couple of crappy figures that will be everywhere soon. And actually, none of your list applies to me because I don't collect figures anymore (I actually collect statues). Just like to come in and keep up w/ what's going on and flame the occasional dumbass noob such as yourself. I guess #1 would apply to me (for statues, not toys) as I have spent about $1500 in the last 45 days or so on statues and have another $3000+ in preorders for stuff that will be released in the next 6 months or so. #11 would also apply I suppose (although I refer to that as an "office" since I have my PC and all my books in there, the reality is 90% of the room is for my collection, lol). The rest doesn't apply to me because you can't buy statues at retail stores, I'm not fat, not bald, no facial hair, I own my own house, etc. As for where I work...feel free to PM if you want to compare how much we make. You seemed to come up w/ quite a lengthy list there rather easily...you sure most of that doesn't apply to you? See for yourself j*rkoff, this is getting fun. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendid=46758336 What was I supposed to "see for myself" from that? Your garage band??? Should I head to itunes now or later? P.S.- Please stop butchering the Spider-man theme song. Thanks So you went to all the trouble of looking at my myspace page numerous times, downloading my video, and then coming back to write on the message board about it, what a loser. Jealous? You know you are, by the way stop sending me so many messages through myspace, its getting creepy.
  6. I don't think he's as short as the 616, he seems to be about the size of quicksilver, but then again mine isn't opened so I can't be totally sure. The figure itself is actually okay, except for the horrible face on it, and the claws...actually it's not that cool of a figure now that I think about it.

  9. I would have kicked my friends ass for a stealth iron man too hunter. Luckily I just spent alot of money on an ebay auction for it and avoided a confrontation. Also I'm guilty of 1,11, and 15

  11. Here's a list of checkpoints I've compiled, more than 5 and you should really re evaluate your life. 1. You've spent more money on toys in the past month than you have on clothes, going out, food and hygiene products. 2. You still live at home with your parents because otherwise you could not afford your collecting lifestyle 3. You're fat 4. You're fat and balding 5. You're fat, balding and you have a ponytail 6. You're only friends are employees at the stores where you hunt for toys 7. Almost every t-shirt you own has a superhero logo and or super hero on it. 8. You were outraged at the death of Captain America, but the War in Iraq, not such a big deal to you. 9. you play with your toys 10. you make sound effects when you play with your toys. 11. You have a room in your house or apartment devoted entirely to your collection. 12. You have a secret hiding place in every store that you shop for toys. 13. Little kids and their parents look at you funny when they see you in the toy aisle. 14. People who have seen your collection often remark "but why did you buy 5 of the same figure?" 15. You've gone out at 3 in the morning to look for toys. 16. Store managers know you by your first name. 17. You've been fired for hiding toys, holding toys or stealing toys. 18. The only reason you get a job is to buy more toys. 19. You make lists of the toys you wish you did have. 20. You've gotten into a physical fight over someone because of toys.

    Target Haul

Do what you gotta do man. Thats an awesome haul, ridiculous even. Screw what your fellow "collector" thinks because they're just some jerk looking to buy as much crap as they can too. By the way I need to see a copy of your reciept and a picture of you actually finding the figures in order to impress me. You don't have to prove yourself to some douche on a message board but I must say, that if I had seen you finding those figures, I would have probably thrown a basketball at your face, and while you were stunned, grabbed all the toys and ran to the nearest register.Oh, and don't worry about some poor little kid crying because he didn't get a legend, tell them to go buy legos or something.
  13. I wish they would have kept the clamshells too. All the money spent on thefancy graphics they have on the packaging could have gone to better use in a wash for these figures. She-Hulk is still a great figure though.
  14. Stan Lee is 6'? He's taller than I thought, awesome fig by the way!
  15. Nope, but I wish I would have. The only reason I didn't is because we're saving up for a trip to Orlando this summer. I might be a sap, but I have limits. Suck it haters Suck it long Suck it even harder
  16. Well I really don't see why anyone who wasn't my family would be upset or angry at what I spend on myself. But while most of you guys are up at wal-mart at 3 in the morning I'll be partying it up with my wife and friends while we play drinking games and play guitar hero on xbox on a 50 inch plasma tv, suck it haters suck it long and suck it hard
  17. Dude you sound like my wife nagging at me. Anyway yeah I spent that amount and I'm not saying it was smart. But I don't have the time to hunt toys down every day and waste time doing it. I spent way too much on two figures and I'm sure I'll regret it somewhere down the line but I figure things even out sometimes. Such as when you pick up the toys you think suck (toad series 1) and then find out that if you got them now you'll be paying around $75 bucks or so. Or buying a case of toys (Legends series 8) and then being pleasantly surprised when you find every single variant and chase figure in one box. As far as availability of hasbro blob series goes, I haven't seen any variants anywhere and when you don't see the variants in the first shipments, it's pretty likely that they'll be hard to find later on. Oh and I don't know what it is about having to get something when it first comes out but that's how I am and trust me, I know it's not a good thing. p.s. and trust me the people that work at wherever it is you go hunt down your toys don't think very highly of you. I heard a couple of the employees at a toys r us talking about how one of those "loser collector guys" comes in every day to be a pain in the ass. I don't know about you but I don't wanna be known as one of those guys.
  18. Hey Guys, well I took a chance on a new seller to ebay for a green quicksilver and dark phoenix hasbro legends variants http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=260112746023 and boy am I glad I did! I got them in the mail today from Singapore. He also had a gold yellowjacket which was a seperate auction. Now I'm sure that this is going to be the time that they'll start popping up everywhere has anyone seen them in the U.S. yet?

    Joint Innovation

I've been looking for the 10th spawn for a while, I saw him at my local comic store for $40 about a year ago but I wasn't sure then. Now I want to get him, I miss the old spawn toys, zombie spawn (series 7) is still one of my favorite toys of all time.

    Joint Innovation

Well, I don't know if it was toybiz who started the whole mid torso joint, but I think that has to be one of the best points of articulation that a figure could have. Sometimes articulation can be overkill on a toy and it will ruin the sculpt, there has to be that fine line between poseability, and likeness. My question to all my fellow collectors is, how is that balance obtained? Without going into the high end collectible pieces, what would be your solution to adding articulation, without compromising the likeness? I think back to the Morbius figure from the spider-man classics line that had the opening mouth. This is one of the few action features that I have liked on legends style figure because the action is hidden well (except for the button on the back) and the joint in the jaw is not visible. They tried to do this same process with the venom figure later on but that thing was a mess (the mouth barely opened) I would love to see this type of process applied to the arms, legs etc. Thoughts? p.s. (I'm sure it would be expensive to apply it to the entire figure, but I would rather that money go into the toy instead of making the graphics on the box look pretty.)
  21. Sorry, I don't want to argue, and this is the last I'll post on this topic, this is why I don't believe that these toys are authentic.
  22. I'm not hating on anyone, I said it might very well be real. I'm just trying to look at this from another perspective. Is it wrong to think twice or question the authenticity of an expensive purchase when 1. It's coming from an international seller 2. The same auction has been listed before and this guy just happens to be the only person who's ever gotten ahold of these figures ( oh except his source). 3. The shipping cost alone is outrageous. I love looking at other people's collection and yeah if you've got the cash for something then go ahead and buy it if it makes you happy. But I also always keep in mind that there are alot of people out there who are looking to take advantage of other people. you can't really say these are not the real thing. keep in mind that AFA does not grade anything that is not authentic. these are AFA graded as stated in his auction. How can AFA verify that its the real thing? Do they go to Toybiz and get their production records or something? They might very well be real but as someone else on this board pointed out already, it wouldn't make sense financially for a company to produce one case of figures, the cost that goes into making that one case would not justify all the cost of production. Yes, DRS, they pretty much do just that. The AFA has to verify the authenticity of the products. I have communicated with Blackcat2006 a few times on here and I can say I am 95% sure she is not bragging or throwing any of this in our faces. She has a quality, extensive, fantastic collection of which the majority of us admire and enjoy, so of course she should show it off. I have a 24 x 21++ bonus room full of marvel legends, MOTU, GIJOE, Spawn, NBC, etc that I have rarely posted pics of, but I intend to do it more often. When I have done it the thought or notion of bragging never crossed my mind; I have spent over 7 years collecting this stuff, and more than 5 years talking about it in ways such as this; why not present it to everyone else? BlackCat dont mind the haters.

  24. I saw this same auctiona couple of months ago on ebay. Exact same items for the exact same price. I followed the links they provided and I spoke to a couple of toy customizers who do great job. They still aren't sure since they can't actually look at the figure. I still don't think these toys are real. Remember that pics are very easily manipulated in photoshop and this guy could just have an account on here that lays claim to the fact that they bought these figures and that they are real. It just seems really shady, especially the outrageous shipping costs on two small plastic toys (Oh yeah the case is included so that justifies the shipping). If you're gonna spend upwards of $2000 on marvel legends, buy yourself an army of sentinels!
  25. Most Valuable: Wolverine Unmasked series III Favorite: This is tough, I love Deadpool, but I'm gonna stick with Series 1 Iron Man
