  2. I've always cooked meals for the family, most of which are from scratch, and basically because Sith doesn't know how to cook!!!!

I always make Spag Bol or a lasagne (if i have time) on Thursdays and my whole family loves it. Heres how i make the bolognese sauce.....

    500g Minced beef

    2 TBS Worcestershire sauce

2 TBS Tomato puree (or plain tomato sauce will do)

    2 beef stock cubes

2 cloves of garlic (i like to put 4 in mine) chopped or crushed

    1 large chopped onion

    2 cans peeled plum tomatoes

You could just basically throw everything into one big sauce pan and cook for approx 45 mins or i like to dry fry the minced beef first and then the onion, and then throw everything else into it. Saves cooking time and somehow seems nicer. After frying let the sauce cook for about 30 mins or until the onion has cooked. Thicken the sauce if need be. I sometimes throw a couple of chopped up carrots in it or mushrooms. This will usually make more than enough for 4 adults, but we're piggies and have big portions! lol

For Lasagne cook the bolognese sauce as above but then use pasta sheets and cheese sauce to do the layers. I usually make about 1 1/4 pints of milk for the sauce (i make the cheese sauce myself) leaving enough to cover the top sheet, then sprinkle cheese on the top. Cook for 45 mins until the pasta sheets have gone soft.

    Mmmmmmmmmmm!

  3. McLaren have been kicked out of the F1 constructors' championship and fined £50m over spying allegations but their British driver Lewis Hamilton - the drivers' championship leader - has not been affected.

The team has been fined and docked all of its constructors' championship points for spying on rivals Ferrari.

They have also been barred from taking part in next year's constructors' championship.

The team says it believes it has grounds for an appeal but will wait to study the ruling in detail when it is published.

Boss Ron Dennis looked shocked and told a news conference he had taken time to collect his thoughts before speaking publicly.

He said: "The most important thing is that we will be going motor racing this weekend, the rest of the season and every season.

"This means that our drivers (Hamilton and Fernando Alonso) can continue to compete for the World Championship.

"However, having been at the hearing today I do not accept that we deserved to be penalized in this way.

"We have never denied that the information from Ferrari was in the personal possession of one of our employees at his home. The issue is: was this information used by McLaren? This is not the case and has not been proven today".

Hamilton still leads championshipRacing pundit and motorsport commentator Murray Walker reacted by saying he had almost lost faith in the sport.

Former F1 driver Stirling Moss went even further. He told Sky News he was "staggered" and said: "The whole of motor racing has been shaken".

He said it was "fair enough" that the team should lose points, but said he could not believe the level of the fine.

The 'spygate' saga, revolving around a 780-page dossier leaked to McLaren by ex-Ferrari engineer Nigel Stepney, has been rumbling on since early July.

There are still criminal and civil cases in motion in Italy and Britain respectively.

Ferrari, who now lead the constructors' championship by 57 points, released a statement welcoming the judgement:

It read: "In light of new evidence, facts and behaviour of an extremely serious nature and grossly prejudicial to the interests of the sport have been further demonstrated.

"Ferrari is satisfied that the truth has now emerged."

An official statement from the FIA said that "due to the exceptional circumstances in which the FIA gave the team's drivers an immunity in return for providing evidence, there is no penalty in regard to drivers' points".

  4. The rumours have been circulating on the net for months, but now it looks like hard rockers Led Zeppelin are getting back together for a one-off show.

At a press conference in London this afternoon the three remaining members of the band are expected to announce a reunion gig.

It's thought the show, a charity fundraiser, will be staged on 22nd November at London's O2 Arena, better known as the Millennium Dome.

Led Zep are the latest in a series of bands to get back together in recent months. Acts like The Police, Motley Crue and the Spice Girls have all reunited for tours. Even Pink Floyd buried the hatchet and reformed for London's Live 8 show.

Cash is often the driving force behind the comebacks, though maybe not in this latest case.

  5. Mattel UK has announced it is recalling more than 2,500 Chinese-made Barbie toys that may contain excessive amounts of lead paint.

Some of the dodgy toysIt is the third time this summer the world's largest toy maker has been forced to recall products.

The latest scare involves seven Barbie playset accessories, but no Barbie dolls.

Mattel says the move follows an ongoing probe into its toys made in China sparked by the earlier problems.

Globally the firm is recalling 700,000 toys that have excessive amounts of lead paint.

At the start of last month Mattel pulled 94,000 Fisher-Price toys off the shelves in the UK and Ireland.

Then a fortnight later on August 14 it withdrew nearly two million Polly Pocket, Batman and Barbie toys.

On both occasions it blamed the Chinese manufacturers.
