  2. Glad you are enjoying the exhibit! Superwoman is no where to be found here (Richmond, VA) either...I got mine online a few weeks ago because I was tired of checking with no luck. Now, it seems Wave 3 singles are out in my area, but Superwoman is always sold out!
  3. Glad you enjoyed the exhibit! I know in terms of DC Comics related collectibles, DC Direct is the only entity that releases artist-specific interpretations. The licenses for Mattel and others are only for "mass-appeal" versions of the characters...not artist-specific versions.

  7. As many of you already know...back in 2006 I was featured in a short-film called Wonder Boy showcasing my Wonder Woman collection at the time. Because of how much my collection has grown since then and the addition of my website ExperienceTheWonder.com, the director and I wanted to do a follow-up this year called Wonder Boy: Three Years Later. See my expanded Wonder Woman collection on display with an exclusive tour of my studio. Then, get a behind-the-scenes look at ExperienceTheWonder.com while I discuss my inspiration for creating the site and what I'm planning next. So buckle up and get ready to "Experience The Wonder"! 9. Hey guys! I just finished this beautiful kit of Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman (CBS Version) model kit sculpted by Diosdado "Junior" Bacani of AmusedJester Sculptures. Junior was nice enough to invite me to offer feedback throughout his sculpt and the opportunity to paint the first two castings! I will have complete turnarounds and a "before" photo available later this week, but just wanted to give everyone a taste of the finished piece. I look forward to your comments!
  10. Wow - thanks so much! I did not know that section was there, and have now added an entry for ETW. For those interested, I now have complete exhibits up on ETW for the DCUC Wave 4 Wonder Woman and Artemis figures featuring beautiful photographs with complete turnarounds, close-ups, packaging and item descriptions: >> DC Universe Classics: Wave 4 - Wonder Woman >> DC Universe Classics: Wave 4 - Artemis Enjoy!
  11. ExperienceTheWonder.com is the definitive guide to licensed Wonder Woman collectibles and memorabilia. This online museum features every item in my private collection through a unique composition of my own original photography, promotional artwork, detailed product information and little-known facts. I have enjoyed spending countless hours developing a beautifully styled, easy to navigate web experience that is hours of fun for everyone from the casual Wonder Woman fan to the serious enthusiast. Please take some time to stop by for a visit!
  12. I just found a complete "Case L" at my local Wal-Mart in Richmond, Virginia! The official ExperienceTheWonder.com photos for Wonder Woman and Artemis will be available later today in Action Figures (under: Mattel).
  13. Hey gang! I just finished this stunning 1/7 scale kit from Elciclei SA studio and sculpted by Pedro Rocha. It is sculpted in the likeness of Wonder Woman as she appears in the Justice twelve-issue series of comic books (published August 2005 - June 2007). Created by Alex Ross, Jim Krueger and Doug Braithwaite, the series falls out-of-continuity and focuses on the confrontations between the Justice League of America and the Legion of Doom. Before assembling the kit, I felt that the portrait seemed too angular and harsh when compared to Alex Ross' artwork. After many hours of sanding, shaping and re-sculpting, Wonder Woman received a virtual brow lift, nose job, lip enhancement, chin reduction and jaw reshaping. If you are interested, click here to see the Elciclei SA paint master which shows what this piece looks like with no modification. I also sanded off the raised star pattern on her pants in favor of meticulously placing smaller star decals in the exact pattern that Alex Ross illustrates them. I feel these adjustments to the original sculpt softened the overall presence and readied the figure for a beautiful paint job with all metallic accents achieved with Bare Metal Foil. Only one earring was visible on the original casting, so I custom sculpted a second one! A single piece of 20 gauge gold wire was shaped through both fists to make the lasso. The figure is mounted on an octagonal black base with an embossed JLA logo. Total height: 11" Enjoy! 14. Hey everyone! I just finished the second Wonder Woman model kit from ARH Studios (released in 2004). This stunning piece was designed and sculpted by Arahom Radjah. I felt that the proportions of this sculpt evoked a similarity to the animated style of Wonder Woman as seen in the Justice League cartoon. So, I decided to base my paint application and selected color palette on this stylized interpretation of the character. Certain elements of the sculpt are not completely on-model with the animated version. However, I did not want to change the sculpt to suit the paint application, so they were left as Arahom intended. (I did, however custom sculpt the star shaped earrings!) Enjoy! Below are the smaller preview images - CLICK HERE to view larger photos of this build-up on my website, ExperienceTheWonder.com!
  15. I use acrylic paints and custom mix all my own colors. Thanks for looking!
  16. Hey guys! I just finished the "Wonder Woman Super Tyke" by Nut-Hut Productions. Designed and sculpted by Vance Rudzinskas, this is #39/50. Vance was kind enough to hand sign and number the underside of the base! This model kit features an adorable and unique interpretation of a young Modern Age Wonder Woman lassoing her teddy bear. It originated as a solid resin casting in five pieces. I based my paint application for this piece on the style of Wonder Woman as she appears in the DC Super Friends comic books. In 2007, Mattel released the DC Super Friends toy range which are toddler friendly versions of the heroes. DC Comics subsequently released a tie-in comic book in early 2008 in which the character design for Wonder Woman looks very similar to this kit, which preceded the comic by two years...Vance is such a visionary! 17. Thanks for the nice compliments, guys!
  18. Hey guys! I just finished "The Amazon" from Killing Time Kits. Sculpted by Allan Reeve and released in 2004, this is pretty hard to come by. Before assembling the kit, I decided that, with all respect to the sculptor, the portrait seemed a bit swollen with an overly harsh expression. After many hours of sanding, shaping and re-sculpting, Wonder Woman received a virtual brow lift, cheek lift, nose job, lip reduction, dental work, select hair removal and overall hair re-shaping. These adjustments to the original sculpt softened the overall presence and readied the figure for a beautiful paint job with all metallic accents achieved from my now expert application of Bare Metal Foil. I custom sculpted button earrings and then painted and added them to the piece. 20-gauge gold wire was shaped to make the lasso before attaching it to the utility belt. Here are the medium size images - CLICK HERE to view the full size photos of this build-up on my website, ExperienceTheWonder.com! Just click on any thumbnail to see the large size in a new window. Enjoy!
