  1. 6" Titanium Soundwave's legs are loose an dwon't stay extended properly. But you can fix that. You will need- * a screwdriver * nail polish or super glue. Research and find a durable nail polish brand, clear is recollended. You want one that' shard to scrape off. Super glue will work if you are experienced with using it as a thickenign agent. First, take the legs off at the hips. best way is to pull outward while turning it up. Don't owrry- the joint will release easily. Point the hip rod up. Second, remove the screw from the large metal boots. Open them then slide the upper leg piece down and out. Coat nail polish on the appropriate spots and then reassemble. Nail polish the hip rod then snap the leg back on. A durable bran is necessary to ensure the stuff won't flake internally. Soundwave shows where they wanted to do a lot witht he design but the tooling didn't cut it. His chest is a block, I could see how they ha dintended the waist to compress but it was never built to do that. His diaper is a result of 2 pins in the pieces which could have been retooled to look different. Then the legs- they have click positions but the pieces just won't click into place. Time will tell if Soundblaster fixes at least some of these hassles with the legs.
  2. An unfunny joke. The Botcon jets costing $200 apiece is laughable enough, this just adds further insult. This is a joke told by Jeanene Garofolo or Andy Dick.
  3. I dont't mind non-US members on the team, but being that it's a US-based organization their main base should be somewhere in the US. As far as this film goes, McHale's Navy is probably the best thing they could copy- a decent blend of comedy, quirky characters and a serious terroist plot. Oh, and copy hiring Bruce Campbell- he basically WAS Shipwreck in that film.
  4. I'd have bought Catwoman if the goggles came off. They ruin an otherwise decent costume. They're not as bad as The Batman's "she looks like a MOUSE" look, mind you, but still...
  5. Pass on Batman. The Adam West costume is too laughable compared to the black/gray suit. Penguin is definite, maybe Etrigan. Pass on the rest, BAF doesn't interest me.
  6. He was a mobster ala Tim Burton's movie in TAS, as revealed in MOTP. Jason Todd(resurrected due to goofy universe-alterations in IC) is the current Red Hood. Red Hood was never brought up in DCAU, aside from one o fthe related comics but the book wa scanned before they could reveal who it was.
  7. Can someone PM me with spoilers/specifics on Red Hood's role in JLU, if any?
  8. We did just get movie Jazz in G1 colors, so even if we don't get him in Classics, we at least got something.
  9. If SS had been more blue than green he'd have been a passable Thundercracker.
  10. They have announced wave 4, and wave 1 hasn't even hit saturation yet. I saw a lone Cobra boxset at Target today and that was it.
  11. As I understand, they weren't even using an actual 09 concept Camaro in the film, just another car made up to look like one, as the actual car isn't even ready to go yet. And it's looking likely that by the time film 2 is made, the real car will be available from GMC, though it might already be the outdated model. Not as if they'd keep the same bodies around for anything aside from film opening- new bodies mean whole new toys. As for the topic, Kohl's is running a "buy one, get a second 1/2 off" sale right now.
  12. I saw a WWI Magnus the other day.... what an anticlimatic letdown.
  13. Kohl's I bought Arcee at wanted $13 apiece for deluxes.
  14. Possibly old-ish news but I saw a 12" black/gray Batman at TRU today. I've only seen the blue/gray version until now.
  15. On reflection, it's not the movie designs I have issue with... it was the attitude of everyone involved. Bay came off as a self-important ass who wanted things his way(and I doubt the dude has any experience with robotics). Murphy was just a spineless nobody who Bay had no desire to listen to anyway. Kurtz and Orci, for all their supposed fan status, seem to DISLIKE a lot of what Transformers was(mass-shifting, car parts as armor- even though Ironhide got half the truck as his shoulders), and the ILM employee saying "the old designs are crap". If not for these people insisting their vision was the only way, maybe it wouldn't have made so many people upset. I doubt they even tried to do traditional designs. I wonder why no one has shown the film to Stephen Hawking or Freeman Dyson(assumign he's still alive) to get the opinion of actual certified scientists on the realism of th emovie? I could see Bay claiming a lot of Dyson's theories as "unrealistic", though I'd wager good money Dyson's IQ is at least double Bay's.
  16. Owning all 8 of the toys, Starscream was the only one of the batch with a decet sculpt. Some make okay PVCs, Megatron was just horrible. Seems if they wanted to improve sales though, making their FOOD taste better might work more than toy promos.
  17. Bruce- looks like aredeco of one fo the uro-exclusive Batman figures. Buying it Clayface- the only new mold this wave. Buying it. Joker- gaudy colors Catwoman- decent retool of the Batgirl body though I wish they hadn't used her modern costume, the goggles are tacky. I HOPE they are removable... if not I will gladly pass. Nightwing- the old mold where the neck doesn't line up with the body.
  18. Oh dear... this is that thing I saw at TRU. $130 retail and not worth it. It's barely a step above those awful Modifighters in terms of design.
  19. Eh, I'm getting sick of this sudden "realism" kick. I'd rather it be character-accurate than "real world".
  20. Pity that Palisades lost the license... F4F's statues are horrible and busts don't interest me.
  21. Ratchet isn't different enough to stress over. Megatron... eh, depending on their price, MAYBE. I own leader, Replica and LOC Megs, owning the voyager would be redundant. The design isn't much to look at anyway(no real point to focus on, just a nunch of sharp points) and it doesn't offer anythign the other toys don't.
  22. You had that sword with you at the time, no doubt. My Targets will not get stock out of the back- and they used to. I got a G1 Jazz that was on the pegs, plus a Cyber Slammer Barricade(which I'd been putting off) and Replica Megatron, plus a LOC Ratchet at Walgreens(they left them at $4, avoiding the price-hike most stores put in place), that was it. No new stock otherwise. Maybe the coming weeks will pick up. I still need Ironhide assuming they still ship that one.
  23. Hmm, I only mildly want that Batman, what with the series 3 black/gray repaint coming out soon, and I could get a loose Robin for cheaper. But if I see the blue variant I might actually get one of these.
  24. Hasbro has made a black movie Venom after all. But he's part of a Target exclusive $20 3-pack with Spidey and Sandman. Venom is more of a dark gray than black though.
  25. G1 Starscream is a Target exclusive. Target I checked yesterday had a shelf tag out for them with his name on it. Oddly, if I read the tag next to it correctly, that store was holding them back for a shelf date of tomorrow. Odd.
