  1. I watched that supposed episode of Grey's Anatomy, and throughout the whole thing I was saying "springboard episode to launch a spinoff." I was right. The spinoff will fail. Grey's Anatomy is only doing well because it's semi-cute and there isn't a whole hell of a lot competing against it. The spinoff will be the same thing repackaged and will fail.
  2. NIce. Is aw that today. I agree about the under-painting. It's the biggest flaw in the movie line. Just earlier I cracked out my flat aluminum and ginmetal grey paints to add the missing touches to Blackout.
  3. Good, now bring on classics Shockwave!!!!!!!
  4. It will do very well, but it won't beat Spider-Man or Pirates. I am seeing it on Tuesday when it start showing here, and look forward to it. Biggest movie of the summer? I doubt it. Still, it will do well enough to justify a sequel.
  5. His remarks hadn't costed them a dime. The season had just ended, so no ratings hit had occurred. Some people complained, the matter was pretty much reserved for the tabloids, he did a public service announcement for the gay groups, and all was forgiven and they were all moving on from it when Disney decided that it wasn't enough and wanted him to pay some more.
  6. He didn't say anything racist, and if he did, that's no excuse for destroying his livelihood. He just made some anti-gay remarks when one of his castmates pushed him into a fight. I don't believe in the thought police going around throwing their weight around every time someone gets offended, because if we had a right to persecute someone for how we feel, we'd all be on death row. It's even more ridiculous to know that he, Michael Richards, and Mel Gibson had to get THERAPY for simply using words that others don't like. They're not mentally ill. They're just dumb-asses who said something stupid when they lost their tempers. The ones who are mentally ill are the ones who think people need therapy and need their careers destroyed if you say something they disagree with, and act like they have a right to control what comes out of your mouth. Freedom of speech: accept the bad with the good or get out. What's the difference between calling someone a racist/homophobic slur and calling someone a f***ing ***hole? It's all hateful just the same. Do I need therapy for yelling "#$#@#" to a woman who cut me off on the freeway yesterday? It was hateful. He is a good actor, and to throw away his career and slander him as a homophobe for something he said out of anger is wrong. Enough of the mobs telling you what you can or can't say. Nobody cares when athiests offend Christians in the name of intolerance. Nobody cares when Muslims offend everybody in the name of intolerance. Nobody should care when someone screws up and says something stupid like Isiah Washington did. But it's Disney, the same organization who annually has "gay days" for homosexual couples and their families only. Their tolerance is even lower than what they think Isiah's is.
  7. Their distribution is fine for me. It's getting there at 4am to beat the scalpers that's the problem.
  8. What did she say to make you mad?
  9. Wal-Mart exclusive?? Damn. The cheaper price is welcome, but I was kinda hoping to stay away from Wal-Mart.
  10. Please. That paragraph is so filled with overly broad and untrue comments it's not even funny. You'd think after 4 years of this, people would have educated themselves a little better about the Asian market and what kinds of things Hasbro cares about. @loll@ @loll@ I take it that you are someone who likes to buy those early releases and test shots? It's true. Accept it. It isn't by any legitimate means that figures that aren't even intended for sale over there and test shots that are never intended for sale at all end up in the hands of those sellers. It's not like they walked into a store in Hong Kong or Singapore and bought them. Hasbro does care about the problem, but they only go after the sellers and never the buyers.
  11. Either that, or Hasbro doesn't know. Test shots are almost always stolen, and early bird figures from Asia are always stolen or "fell off the back of the truck" as the phrase is. Hasbro does shut down the sellers when they find them, which is why the average seller who deals in those doesn't stick around for a long time. Hasbro does care a lot about the problem, but their focus is going after the sellers and not the buyers. If Hasbro were to go after the buyers, places like YoJoe would be the first to go down since they're so public with their ill-gotten merchandise.
  12. The leftist media does not see crimes against whites the same as they see crimes against non-whites. All people who are not white and straight are automatically assumed to be victims by the left, and any story that contradicts that is buried fast.
  13. It was actually a very boring episode that rushed the death of the Asgard race, then dragged on from that point on. Why didn't they stand their ground and fight since they got the upgraded weapons, instead of wasting energy on running and that time-stop device? It wasn't as bad as the Sopranos finale, but it was pretty close. As someone who's been watching for ten years, I really thought it sucked.
  14. Sandra Bullock always does romantic comedies, and they're all frickin boring as hell!
  15. He first murdered his wife, then let his son live in the house for a day with his mother's body right there, then killed his own son. On top of that, he had been abusive for years. His trip to hell is well-deserved.
  16. Anyone else here playing it? It's surprisingly excellent for a remake. It's much better than the first, which was severely limited and downright ugly. The only complaint is that you cannot use the unlockable bonus outfits for in-game play, and can only use them for going around the mansion as well as the level replays, which is cheap and lame. Let's hope they remake TR2 and Last Revalation.
  17. I agree. The new animation just looks cheap to me. Bulkhead looks like Ironhide and Hound got it on and somehow had a baby.
  18. Sweet customs. I like them a lot, especially Firefly.
  19. It was a no-brainer that it would be PG-13, since that's pretty much thew standard rating for summertime action movies. The Matrix and other R-rated sci-fi and action movies disagree with you. Matrix Reloaded opened as the #1 highest grossing movie for an R-rated movie ever, and I will bet you right now that Transformers will not touch it's totals. In fact I think they're getting carried away with making movies be PG-13, with Scary Movie, Aliens vs. Predator, countless horror movies made over the past five years, and now Die Hard 4 all cut down on the content in order to make PG-13 because some marketers think that means more money. Did you see the re-release of "Passion of the Christ" that was censored down to a PG-13 rating? It was a total flop, and it deserved to be. It's a good example of how when you sacrifice content for profits, your movie deserves failure. Besides, a lot of parents take thier kids to see r-rated movies, and because of that, I think that an R rating would have only a nominal effect on overall totals. It might even bring in addidtional adults who don't want to see it because they think it'll be a kid's movie that revolves around selling the toy brand.
  20. Camcorder movies = fail. It sucks watching a movie with the added soundtrack of some ass eating popcorn and blocking part of the shot. Besides, it's worth it to see it on the big screen and worth it to buy the DVD if the movie is any good. actually some of those can be very good near dvd quality movies. the only problem being that they might get blocky when you watch them fullscreen. and not all are filmed with some guy holding a camcorder. i watched Pan's Labyrinth streaming a couple weeks after it came out and it was very good quality. the divx ones are the best quality if you can find 'em and somehow eachtime i've gone to the movies this summer at the 7 o'clock showing there have been freaking little kids everyhwere and it drives me insane!!!!!!!!! actually for pirates of the caribean it was teenage girls screaming every time depp was shown without a shirt. . . or when he just talked or movied or something. Pan Labyrinth was out in Spain long before the movie came to the theater in america. Most likely you seen a fansub version of that online Damn. Foreign movies take so long to get hwere that they're almost always on DVD (with english subs) by the time they hit the theaters. Today I am going to see "Day Watch" at the theaters even though I know it's already out on DVD, and I did have Kung Fu Hustle on DVD three months before it hit theaters.
  21. 1. Wouldn't bother me at all. 2. That would probably look stupid on her
  22. Connery is in his 80's and is retired. He doesn't want back in, and wants to just enjoy his retirement.
  23. Destro: I like! It looks much better than expected, even without the chrome head. I like his size too because in the cartoon he was depicted as being noticably taller than everyone else. The briefcase is a throwback to the original's backpack, and I think it's a nice added touch. I don't know if it's the photography or it's that way for real, but the black parts look like they could be blacker instead of dark grey, but that's my only complaint with this thing. I think a chrome head will show up eventually as an exclusive or something since Hasbro likes repaints, so I am not worried about that. Baroness: let-down. the head is awful, the "wind-swept" hair is awful (why can't Hasbro keep it simple simple?), and her body proportions look odd (like an anhorexic with a fat face). It's obvious that they did the hair that way to accomodate the backpack, but I'd rather have no backpack and straight hair if given a choice because that would have made her look so much better. This could have been the best version of her, but I'll toss her in with the mediocre VvV/JvC versions and continue to see the original as the best.
  24. The only guess I can think of for "modern" cartoon animation styles is that it's easier than doing over-detailed anime and 80's style of cartoon animation.
  25. http://www.indianajones.com/community/news...20070621_bg.jpg Ford is really looking his age. I just hope they don't use too much CGI to cover up the old-fashioned stunts in the original trilogy.
