  1. Whole wheat bread (thick cut). Smooth peanut butter on one slice. Jam or a good preserve on the other. Served with a tall glass of milk. There is NO other way...
  2. Will one of the multiple endings be a GOOD one? I kid, I kid. I actually did enjoy this movie - it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I do believe it was better on the action side of things and weaker on the story side of things than the previous two films, but that just comes down to two different directing styles between Singer and Ratner, and what a viewer wants out of an X flick. Like I said before in another thread, regardless of whether or not someone is impressed or let down over all by the changes in direction, there's still plenty of goodies for both the dedicated and casual X fan alike to walk away more or less content - just enjoy the movie for what it is. I will probably buy this, as much for the extras as for the movie itself - I am VERY curious about those. Some spots felt rushed and I felt the ending could have been stronger, so I'm eager to see what deleted or extended scenes are included, and what they had in mind for alternate ways to end it all...
  3. We've been over this before. Knock it off.
  4. Even I miss VH, and that's saying something. Best of wishes, dude, if you're reading this...
  5. Not quite the same thing... While ultimately the choice does fall to the person, music is definitely a mood setter. The athlete might listen to something fast and hard to get pumped up before a game. The goth might listen to something somber and tragic to... y'know, brood. And yes, listening to music of a sexual nature is likely to put a person in a sexual mood as well. Doesn't necessarily mean they'll bounce like bunnies just because someone pressed "play," but hey, the right tune certainly doesn't hurt the situation either... If you feel nothing when you listen to music, you're not human. Or at the very least are listening to some bland, sh*tty music. What I'd be more curious about is who is listening to what music... not everyone is going to be turned on by rap songs about "bangin' hoes" or what-not. It's all about taste, right...
  6. And yet people laughed when I was grooving to Prince in my teens... I knew. Oh, I knew.
  7. Nah, I just didn't think to mention it... I wasn't wearing shoes at the time, but I was able to hop over the worst of it and walk through the wider-spread debris with a bit of care. We did, however, have to wear shoes in the kitchen for a couple of days after that, until we wear sure all the glass was gone and no stray bits were lurking. Sh*t dude, if we were doing shaving stories I'd still win - remember, I shave my head. Two words: scalp wounds.
  8. Psh. I made my omelet before I even bothered picking the glass out of my back. Like a REAL man... (Okay, so I made the omelet AFTER the glass removal. AND bitched about it while doing so. Shush.)
  9. Heroes... 1. Jack Knight (Starman) 2. Hitman 3. Grant Morrison-era Animal Man 4. Batman 5. Robin (Grayson or Drake) Villains... 1. The Shade 2. Joker 3. Solomon Grundy 4. Lex Luthor 5. Catwoman (though I prefer the 'hero' years)
  10. 1. Spider-Man - He was THE childhood icon for me. 2. Beast - Dude, it's a blue monkey-man! 3. Emma Frost - Grant Morrison made me fascinated by her. 4. Iron Man - I dig the whole 'man in the machine' thing. 5. Mr. Fixit - The Hulk as a suit-wearing thug? Sold. Those are probably in a fair enough order as well, though ask me again on another day and you'll probably get some different answers... Green Goblin and Typhoid Mary get my votes for favorite villains.
  11. Nothing else exploded over my head, thankfully. I did, however, bleed through a shirt after I thought I'd patched myself up. I won't be wearing white for a few days...
  12. Does my long-standing belief that I would die without coffee count?
  13. they do, I just cannot remember the name of it...never mind, here it is Water Joe Pity they only sell to the US. I'd order a buggerload...
  14. Oh feel free to laugh. I certainly did.
  15. I think pop is focused on because it in particular carries a LOT of sugars and other crap in it. Not that daily trips to McDonald's is any healthier - of course it isn't. You're absolutely right. But I can see why the focus is on pop, and I believe it. Granted, when I don't have time for a coffee I always get my caffeine fix from pop, and don't see that changing any time soon...
  16. Today I was up at an hour where breakfast was an option, rather than skipping straight to dinner. I will need a pan for this, I think to myself, and thus go about finding one. The only suitable one is, of course, lodged way at the back of the cupboard. Venturing in to get the pan requires ignoring the fact that my arm has bones, but I get it, and a nasty kink. So upon standing, I stretch my arm and give it a turn to put everything back in its place... But you know what was still in my hand at the time, right? A loud crash echoes through the kitchen and glass showers down on me. I have no idea yet what the f*ck I've just done, so I just give my back to the falling glass to avoid the loss of an eye or an artery. After staring at the mess of glass littering the floor around me for a good ten minutes, I finally look up, and discover that I have managed to take out the giant glass ball that houses the kitchen light. As I pick glass out of my back and treat this new assortment of mild to moderate cuts, I have the sneaking suspicion that this is NOT going to be a good day...
  17. Jesusf*ck... that's a bold undertaking.
  18. Eventually. Maybe. But I don't think his career being knocked down a peg or two for a while as consequence is unfair...
  19. Punting this to the general forum (was in the movie forum when I found it). They can deal with it.
  20. Yeah, you're on it. JayC posts shipping lists every week. Prior to that, I did. This week's... Cheers.
  21. DC Universe Extended Universe
  22. Filling in on posting duties for this month's solicits and true to form, I'm a touch behind schedule as I refamiliarize myself... Text is up now, images soon to follow. Bare with me and you shall have your complete preview for the month of October shortly.
