  1. The problem isn't figuring out who was who (the one that they have the rights to is the one wearing blue) or even any chance of losing a lawsuit, it's having to pay for said lawsuit. It's just not worth the chance that she would sue and then having to pay for it just to make a small plastic toy. Especially when there are hundreds of other choices that they could do. As for using a different likeness it would have to be so vastly different that there wouldn't be any reason to make it. Unless they can work them into the upcoming live action series or something.
  2. Pretty much. What happened was back when they were making the movie they failed and/or didn't bother to get permission to use there likenesses. So then 25 or so years later when they finally tracked them down one happily signed over her likeness (unfortunately she has since died) and the other demanded an unreasonable amount of money. And since there is no documentation on which one wore which costume they can't release a figure of the one that they have because the money hungry one might sue them.
  3. Yeah, the black one isn't from any Star Wars figure. That I know of. Maybe G.I.Joe?
  4. I like ones of things that going to be made that we haven't seen yet. Like that Tank Droid. I'm surprised no one else has commented on it.
  5. It is way over priced. But remember this is going to be sold at Disney. Everything there is over priced.

  7. Was it the Clone Wars version? The dome is all blue on that one.
  8. Yes, TLC will be changing also. It's a change across the whole spectrum of Star Wars products. Not just the Clone Wars line and not just Hasbro. Every thing will have this theme, from Legos to school supplies.
  9. I think there are still people without power. Houses that the lines are down were they connect to to house. There is one house on my street like that. They might have been fix by now but a few days ago the lines were still down.
  10. I think we got hit worse than most. They were reporting that New Ipswich was the hardest hit town. 100% of the town was without power for the first few days. This is the front yard during the storm. Before the limb hit the car (the green thing in the back). Back yard. This is the shed/birdhouse. The top of the tree on the shed is touching the ground on the other side. Along side the driveway. This is down in the woods behind our house.
  11. I'm finally back after not having phone/internet service for 22 days after the worst ice storm that I have ever seen back on December 12th. The ice was more than an inch thick. Almost every tree around here lost at least one branch, many lost their entire top, or uprooted completely. It looks like a war zone out there. We were without power for 11 days, got it back just in time for Christmas. We have a wood stove and a gas stove so we didn't freeze and were able to cook. But we didn't have running water (an electric well pump) so we had to get water from my Grandmother's to drink/cook and buckets from the culvert pipe up at the road to flush the toilet with. One branch hit the roof of our shed (knocked a hole in it and cracked the sides), another fell on my brother's 1970 Roadrunner (He has it wrapped up for the winter so we don't know the full extent of the damage but the roof has a huge dent and the back window is gone.), another took out an old basketball net and cracked my mother's car's windshield (If the net hadn't been there it would have done more than just crack the windshield.) Nothing hit the house luckily. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
  12. No they are all repacks/slight repaints Luke is the 2006 Saga Collection Ben is the 2004 VOTC R2 is from the 2005 Early Bird Kit 3PO is the 2006 Saga Collection Ewok God
  13. Those are just customs. Hasbro's AT-TE is far better/more detailed than that.
  14. I don't know what the Clone Wars pilot is. I haven't seen it anywhere else. As far as I can tell it is just the next in the long line of Hasbro made up designs based on the Clone Wars cartoon's ARC Gunship markings. The RotS one is Captain Jag.
  15. Yeah, with one of those chicks dying recently, maybe her estate will finally allow the figures to get made. (but honestly, why LucasFilm couldn't have just made figures with 2 different actresses' likeness on the packages, I don't know. If the chicks who played the Tonnikas had such a bad attitude about it, why didn't they {Lucasfilm/Hasbro} just do some airbrushed likenesses on the cards like they did for the characters on the Evolutions packages? Couldn't they have just done like with the Darrens on 'Bewitched' or the Beckys on 'Roseanne'. Pretty much proves that they could've been replaced. ) Actually the one that died had signed off on using her likeness. She even went to one of the conventions and signed autographs. It's the other one that isn't willing to. And until she does we're not getting either of them because they didn't keep track of who was who.
  16. I'm not. With the show going to be on cable, and therefor I will be unable to watch it, I just don't have much interest in this movie. I will definitely get it (and the show) when it comes out on DVD though.
  17. It's a WalMart exclusive that was out at the end of 2007. Rarity all depends on the store. Some never got them others were swimming in them.
  18. I don't think this is an indication that the line is ending or that we will never see Marcus. Two other sites asked about getting a figure of him and got the exact same answer. But they asked if we would see him in 2009. Plus one of the sites asked about an Ark Ghost in the next question and got the generic no plans but we'd like to do it someday answer. It looks to me like our answer was just a copy and paste that lead to it being out of context. It should have read "It's unlikely that we'll get to him in 2009". This doesn't mean the line won't end next year but I don't think Hasbro has planed the end yet.
  19. Other than the packaging, I think one has a clean paint job and the other has scuff marks. But since I don't plan on getting either I don't know for sure.
  20. That line (and 'Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett (are) second-rate actors, serving as the running dogs of the CIA.") makes me think that this is a joke article. But we're talking about communists here. They are that stupid.
  21. The ToD wave was originally planned to come next but it got delayed for some reason.
  22. Hasbro was asked about the jet pack at YakFace.com in the last Q@A. Here it is. I recently purchased the Force Unleashed Jump Trooper and I understand why you didn't make his new gun and gave him an existing similar gun, but on the cardback it shows him with a jetpack on and even mentions it in the description; so why did you make a jump trooper without a jetpack - the main requirement for his expertise? We try very hard to create product that accurately relates to the SW fantasy and with the highest levels of authenticity and detail. But, the development timelines for the video game are much more fluid than our product development schedule and we were using the best reference we had at the time (which was supplied by LFL) to create the figures. The reason he does not have the correct gun and jet pack is because those were added to the game after we had the product designed, sculpted, and released for tooling. We were however able to match the package copy and images on the package to match the game because these type of changes can happen very late in our development process where as the actual product can not change because of the time needed for tooling and ramp-up time on production capacities.
  23. There was also a repack of Wicket and Logray in a TRU OTC multipack in 2004 And the Complete Galaxy ewok was more than just a repaint. He had a new head and torso (modified from Wicket's).
