  1. Those arms on the variant are terrible. Had a chance to grab two of them today if I wanted, but I just don't like the back pack and the arms and passed after seeing them in hand. I opted instead to grab a MU Cable figure and a CA Hydra Attack Trooper.

  2. How does the subscription work? Are the figures free, after you purchase a subscription, or do you have to pay the subscription and for the figures?

From my understanding (and that's very little) you join the club (say..at the officer level for $64) then you still pay an additional amount on top of that (yet to be determined, most likely in the $20 range?) for each figure per month it comes out?

  3. Sort of off topic here, but reading comments and opinions around the various Joe sites, I notice the same ol same ol continues on and on as far as the constant war between haters, lovers, naysayers and fanboys regarding these plastic toys we all collect (or buy then sell).

This place has died down pretty much (from what it use to be like) but it's funny to see that the same old folks who use to haunt the site here have just taken their crusade elsewhere and the opinion wars still continue. @haha@

Again, I have to ask the question, as represented HERE....

I guess my position has always been that criticism (constructive or just flat out disappointed and frustrated) of the toys we collect and the state they're in as far as it being to our liking or straying from it, is NORMAL...whereas to have a coniption over somebody elses gripes, seems a bit more obnoxious. Sort of like going to a movie and not liking it and having somebody that did like it lose their ever lovin friggin mind over the fdact that ANYBODY could not feel exactly the same way about it and then going on to criticize the critic? One is based on the material subject matter, the other is based on the opinion of a person.

  4. It's not nearly special enough. It looks a little generic. Over on other boards it has been mentioned they were forced into the v2 colors to prevent confusion with law.

    @loll@

Just once...wouldn't you love to be present at the roundtable when this kind of asinine thinking flops out of some morons mouth? "confused with LAW"??? How stupid do they think us fans of G.I.Joe really are?? <_<

I guess Topside wasn't consider to be too "confusing" with Cutter at that particular roundtable meeting? @haha@

  5. I dare anyone to call me or any of my buddy's "not real men" just because we have our ear pierced! Just saying think outside the box people. This is year 2011 not 1978.

Bah!! People are just too desperate to be "different" or "cutting edge"...they're digging too deep and reaching too hard. It's just getting weird now in 2011. Like Archie Bunker use to sing "girls were girls and men were men"....THOSE WERE THE DAYS!! ;)

  6. Dual earings does not mean feminality VH. Many many people from different walks of live from athletes, to nerds to rockers have both ears pierced and are not feminen at all. In fact its kinda the edgy look now for a lot of guys.

    Draven

uh.. I guess I am old school... I don't think guys should wear earrings at all

    it's not cool

Same here Clam! Old school, old fashioned...whatever ya wanna call it, I'm of the opinion that REAL men don't were lots of jewlry and definitely don't have pierced ears or wear earrings unless they're fricken pirates and I don't think we have any of those running around anymore do we? @haha@ Glad we can't see inside Mercers MOUTH....Hasbro (or whoever molded him) probably would have gave him a pierced TONGUE as well? <_<

  7. I'm glad Mercer has the "CobraBusters" logo on him as a tattoo........I was kinda disappointed to not see it on his torso originally. The little things you know.........

A little disappointed with the dual earrings though. #WTF#

    A D.A.D.T. version of Mercer(nary)? @hmmm@@lol@

@loll@ Now that THAT has been dropped, I guess ol Mercer is free to express his inner femininity?? Guess that qualifies him as the official "G.I.Dunno"? @haha@

  8. Geeeeezus! Who the hell is painting these things? I understand (after reading the previous comments) that it has been painted to look like the original International figure of the same name, but why repeat the same mistake twice? The figure itself looks decent enough, and if it was on sale at some discount department store for $4.99 I might buy it, and REPAINT IT!

  9. These are both great looking figures, but Lifeline's card art kind of makes him look like a d-bag.

Likely a Hasbro employee...getting their image used for a G.I.Joe character, and YES, these kind of real person homages look stupid most the time, because I doubt there's many people working for Hasbro, that could be a REAL AMERICAN HERO looking individual?

  10. why does the zombie have tentacle hands?

Because some zombies (like in Resident Evil games) continue to meta-morph and sprout tenacles and transform into other gruesome creatures. They come with normal hands as well, but if you want to switch them out for the Joe grabbing and choking tenacles, they're there as an option.

  11. Of course, I have yet to even see a City Strike General Hawk, Destro, Cobra Commander, or Trooper figure, nor a Blowtorch, Crazylegs, Jungle BAT, Rock Viper or a Temple Guardian Snake Eyes figure around here....so the odds of me spotting any of these is slim to none, and slim just walked out the door. @grumpy@

  12. LOVE IT! Both these look great!

Lifeline looks like an awesome version of him finally, and with my imagination, the Zombie Viper would have plenty of good use. The alien, monster, creature and zombie figures can always inhabit the surroundings of Cobra Island as the many rejects of Dr. Mindbenders experiments. A Viper that he worked on and failed at but won't die, so they let them loose around certain areas on the island and hope they snag a sneaky Joe or two and serve a use after all? Hell, I dunno...looks cool anyway. ^_^
