  1. I'm wagering it's going to be a Barricade head as well. Just look at that face. @hmmm@ -PJ
  2. I also think they're using this method because you guys guessed 'em impressively fast last year, I think within less than a week of the teaser photo, IIRC. -PJ
  3. YoJoe sez they're explosives, as well as the front of the carded figure. -PJ
  4. Yeah. . .with our heads. Well, no. Not if you're into being teased. And I don't know many who are. -PJ
  5. I'll have to go with Leo's review here. Funny. . .I don't seem to remember this same amount of info in other reviews. Very concise, and very thorough. "Display not play." I totally agree here, and that's the final verdict with me. I was fished in by the looks. And I still like the Duke head. Though this is not to say these are bad as say. . .the Superhero Showdown figures. At least the Joes limbs don't spontaneously fall off while gently moved around. -PJ
  6. Looking for "Simone", the Lanard Black Female Astronaut from the WOW action figure set. https://secure.adrentech.com/AFRX/item.aspx?itemID=19447 Need it complete with helmet. -PJ
  7. There's a panel in the comic when Mindbender is creating Serpentor in his cloning vat and he looks just like that (TBP vol. 5. p. 175). -PJ
  8. I have a few. They're pretty fragile. . .even when compared to the Marvel SS figures, especially at the wrist (tiny pegs with no anchor). I only have them for customs or display. The Batman, Batgirl, and Supergirl MM figures are kewl, but the comic Superman is. . .HUGE because we're talking comic book and anime porportions, so careful which size guy you choose. -PJ
  9. Mine just came in today from BBTS, but I'm waiting for my wife to get home to see them too (we're both fans). I don't have much time to take them all out of the pack either, I'm on a short-short lunch break. @grumpy@ But looking at them I can seriously say the online reviews do not do the figures justice. . .they're just beautiful. #US1# Roadblock and Gung-Ho are way better looking than I thought. Can't wait for the rest. My wife can't wait for the Lady Jaye wave to hit. -PJ
  10. And as another member here already pointed out, the "terrorist" labels on the 25th cards were all carefully sanitized out. All done in the interest of keeping the files as up-to-date as possible, I'm sure. -PJ
  11. That's cuz it's classified. C'mon throw me a bone here, I'm trying to loosen up on being a Filecard Pharisee, see how the other half lives. -PJ
  12. It doesn't bother me, and it's easy to justify with a little imagination (if you wanna). 1. All the Joes were shot up with the same life-extending serum that Nick Fury got. 2. The Joe-verse is either in stasis, or time moves more slowly there when compared to ours. This is also how I will be able to justify playing with retired F-14 Tomcats 10 years from now. -PJ
  13. @loll@ GREAT story, man! I can't believe people are still doing that stuff. Looks like retailers are catching on to our shenanigans! -PJ
  14. They are (or at least they were) only available from Toys R Us Japan online. They aren't cheap either. There are also a few HC customizers out there that are sitting on a case or two, who are willing to let go of them for trades. EDIT: I have only been able to find the female MMF figs on ebay US. AND I NOTICED ONE ON EBAY TAIWAN THAT WAS VAC-METALLIZED!!! -PJ
  15. It was hastily edited on my part, I admit. But I'm certain the OP understands when read in context with his question. -PJ
  16. So my final answer is a painfully drawn-out yes. It's still better to see it redone. And after all this time, it was indeed worth the wait. -PJ
  17. Yet even more offensive pushing around from the resident collector cop. With caps no less. Why is it SO important that members "understand" what other collectors intend to do with their figures? No one made you try to understand what you should do with your Storm Shadow sandals, yet at the same time, we "have to understand" about others?!?? What the hell?!?? IMO, you're taking other's collecting habits a bit too seriously and maybe a little irrationally. I'm posing mine standing up and really don't give a rat's ass what others do with them, because once they've bought them, it's theirs to do with as they please. <--- At least that's what you're supposed to espouse, right VH? Just waiting now for the inevitable "flip-flops" on the flip-flops. -PJ
  18. Oh, how I wish it were real. . . -PJ
  19. I'm sure they're listening. It'll just take awhile is all I'm saying. I wonder how hard the plastic is. The soft stuff is murder on my dremel/sander. It looks hard enough that the only risk would be snappage if it gets too thin. And I won't know for a little while yet. My case is shipping, but I don't think it'll be here by tomorrow. -PJ
  20. Yeah, what he said. Sorry Pesa, I meant a self-mod, I think we're gonna have to wait until Christmas for Hasbro to follow up. Me, I'm just going to display them standing. For dios, I don't have a problem, Scarlett just looks reeeally relaxed. -PJ
  21. Sure, no problem. You think there's any way to mod the crotch so the figures can sit? -PJ
  22. I'm willing to comply with this as long as my new ideas and arguments aren't personally shot down as "poor imagination" or veiled shots at my masculinity or fashion sense (or whatever that was). That was the irrational veering away that started it for me. Hope you're fair about this going OT where it did. I can talk about Stormy's sandals all I want. I was doing it in a positive way too. -PJ
  23. Thanks for posting the link Shane, appreciated! I especially liked how he kept mentioning the comic. As opposed to the toon, which he didn't mention at all. -PJ
  24. YESSS!!! W00T!!!11 I've been wanting those since forever, man!!! Thanks again for the tipoff, Blaster! That command center comes with way more than I thought it did. -PJ
