  1. So funny, because it's so true. I've been reading his posts for a couple years now. Some people just set the bar too high. I do the same quite often. For example, even though the new Flint is almost a spot-on repro of the card art, I'll prolly pass it up because of the lack of grin and open collar. I know, it's crazy. But when you see what Hasbro is capable of, you eventually expect them to deliver it 24/7. It's not fair, but it is precedent. -PJ
  2. Kudos for posting the pics! My wife is gonna freak when she finds out they're doing her favorite ver. of Stormy (as for myself, it's hard to choose). FLINT: Pretty nice, but I'd prefer a "lobsided grin". I know nobody likes that sort of thing, but IMO it was what really made the original Flint. SNAKE-EYES v.2: Not sure about his visor. What I heard from Mark Bellomo, is that the original v.2 visor was added based on obscure headgear found in a WWI museum. Can anyone confirm this? I'd like to see the real thing. It appears to me that SE's visor has had more artistic variants than Wolverine's claws (grill, slitted, overlapping, etc.). OFFICER: Awesome. So both the trooper and officer come with sniper rifles? CC: Hood is blowing to his LEFT. Hope I don't stand any figs next to him with a cape or hair blowing to the RIGHT. STORM SHADOW v.2: He just keeps getting better the more I look at him. Makes me nostalgic for the Mark Bright/Hama run in the comics again! Thanks again for showing this! -PJ
  3. My 70 clones said, "Nah, don't sweat it." It'll most likely be a ball & socket, rather than a swivel. At least with most of them I hope. I agree. The Superhero Showdown figs have more limited poseability at the waist than the SW Saga figs; my Captain America keeps falling apart. Cool. No prob. -PJ
  4. Hey VH, you're still upset about the missing O-ring? Why? I'd like to see you defend it. . .apart from a customizers' POV, that is. Same poseability and no rubber-rot. What's not to like? -PJ
  5. I'm cool with it. They said something like, ". . .at least 25." So since we're only looking at another SE and Cobra Commander we're only looking at a loss of maybe. . .3 characters tops. So we won't get to see Ripper, Torch, or Road Pig. . .no worries. And then again, Hasbro could have another "surprise" up their sleeve. -PJ
  6. Will the Sigma 6 Central site change its name then? -PJ
  7. Just like to add that a complete one is pretty HTF on ebay right now. I wouldn't mind getting one MISB to open. -PJ
  8. Yah, you got a point there. :rubbing chin: At first, I thought the difference was clear. But since the FLAK is a field gun and so is the Mountain Howitzer, I had to rethink this. Maybe I was referring to the way they were organized in the catalogs. They all seemed to have their own category, sorta like small diorama sets. . .y'know? -PJ
  9. I was recently watching the old '85 ARAH commercial with the kids shrunk down to Joe-size and running around the small playsets. This made me wonder what the fans thought of them and if there were any personal faves? -PJ
  10. I was one of the loudest proponents for keeping the O-ring back in the day, but only for the poseability results that it brought to the figure*. Ball and socket waist articulation is the same thing and lasts longer than the rubber in the O-ring. IMO, Hasbro's doing the right thing with this. -PJ *I got enough custom fodder to last me for years.
  11. Well Shane, hope you're ready to deal with even more threads like this. @loll@ -PJ
