1. that Kinda looks like Optimus Prime.....If it didn't have the title "Transformers" That image by itself wouldn't scream "OPtimus Prime/Transformers" at me. In that pic vs. BoneCrusher, Optimus cheeks are too exposed, they should've had his blue helmet cover him more, not just the mouthpiece. (Based on that pic)
2. Brawl's tank mode looks awesome, the head scult reminds me of a toad.Jazz's carded image shows a bright shiny silver on the back but the actual toy appears to be some lame grey, maybe it's the lighting of the pic.....Wreckage is A+
3. I got hooked on Beast wars but never bought any transformers of that line. I did however bought a G1 Optimus Prime just cuz I thought he was kool, but didn't follow the G1 cartoons. It wasn't recently with my interest in cars that the Alternators line sparked my interest...however it seemed I joined just a bit too late since now alternators are hard to find in my area. Maybe it's because of the holiday season that just passed or because of Hasbro concentrating thier resources to the upcoming movie line.
4. I've still been looking out for Jazz (mazda Rx-8) to purchase at retail and not online and now TrU online has it on stock but for some reason they jacked up the price to $29.99 0_o..while all the other Alternators they have available are regular $19.99 priced. 0_o This surprises me of TrU to do this MazdaRx8-TrU-Link
5. Ah yes that's very kool!! Alternators needs a Mazda Rx8 with blue racing stripes like (WheelJack)'s Mustang got a blue striped version too!
6. I went to Wal-Mart today and I saw 4-5 Grimlocks. About 7 Classics Optimus Prime. Plenty of Starscreams, Mirages, and one Hot-Rod transformer.. I didn't see the 20th anniversary Optimus which I had seen like a whole colum of them on stock for $50........but no Alternators :[
7. Nice deal. Man they sure do make it somewhat hard to find toys on clearance by having it everywhere around the store as you said. By any chance did you see any alternators at regular price or clearance?
8. Man that's awesome!! that Hot Rod look alike car is icky looking
9. hey where's a link where i can see pics of the Takara version? thanks
10. Why is the Japanese line refer to as Binaltech? Is there a difference in the quality besides the name? And I definately agree, "Nemesis Prime" sounds so much better than "Black Convoy" =D
11. Worse than the gears, are the beady eyes (at least to me). wow, that sooooo does NOT look kool 0_o..So much for big effin transforming robots looking kool @smilepunch@ there's too much empty space filled with shadows in between the helmet and the eyes...looks incomplete..so probably just a bad picture.
12. I agree w/ almost everything you say here, except for two things: everyone has the right to their opinion. Honestly it does get a bit tedious when someone (like myself) is optimistic and tons of others bash it incessantly, but then if people didn't express their opinions this board wouldn't last long. I do however think that many aren't giving this movie much of a chance, at least on these boards; other boards I frequent are much more open to the movie. 2. The movie is still, to an extent, for the old skool g1 fan; all the characters have g1 names (some of them haven't been reused in a line since g1), so while the main audience is the average movie-goer, hasbro/bay/whoever is still throwing a few bones to us old folks. If this movie does well, then when kids think "optimus prime", "megatron" or whoever, they'll think of these guys, not g1, not cybertron, or any other version, at least not first. These version will be their versions, just like for some of us g1 or bw or UT is "the" version we think of first and prefer. This whole thing does remind me a bit of what I've heard about when bw started; a lot of upset fans, but look at it now, most people love bw. Not saying that will definitely happen here, but it's plausible. It's time for something new, and, whether it goes amazingly or horribly, here it is. Exactly, I agree!! A new generation will be exposed to Transformers, and maybe thier fascination for Transformers will make research it's roots. Anyway, the point is to keep the franchise alive and gather new fans while giving G1 fans something to look for in a live-action film even if it's not as accurate as they would want to :] Today was my first time reading some threads at www.tfw2005.com, and they do indeed seem to give this movie more of a chance just by a lil. Although at Superherohype boards, most Transformer fans there bash the upcoming movie. But we all need something to talk about in the end . @smilepunch@
13. you mentioning Optimus as a "compassionate mother #$$###" reminds me of this video @loll@ anywho, nice site...kinda funny too... btw -I hate that song "Micheal bay's the touch" or whatever it is, horrible!!!!
14. So does he transform into a french fry carrying semi? XD
15. How can it appeal to fanboys when most things about this movie seems to piss them off. It seems this movie is aimed towards a general audience, those seeking an action packed film. I wouldn't consider myself a transformers fan until now. After seeing the trailer I became nostalgic and have just recently began collecting some transformers. I don't even remember following the G1 series. I mostly grew up on Beast Wars and so on even though I'm an 80's kid. I look forward to this movie because I know it will be action packed and I want to see big robots kicking each other's ass!! The movie actions figures however suck ass!!
