  1. Actually, the FF has had a "revolving-door" membership since the 1960's. Crystal (from the Inhumans) filled-in for Sue after Sue gave birth to Franklin (yes, Franklin was born in the 60's and SHOULD be pushing 40 by now...but in "Marvel-Time", he's still a toddler...). This change to Crystal lasted for at least a year. Of course, this was the 1960's, when the idea of a woman abandoning her work for a baby wasn't "shocking" to our PC sensisbilities. In the 1970's, Crystal's sister Medusa filled-in for Sue for several issues, and uber-babe amazon-warrior Thundra (I would LOVE a Thundra-Legend!) even filled-in for Ben Grimm a few times. Ben took another hiatus from the team in '76, and Luke Cage joined the team for about 5-6 issues (although he never got a powder-blue, open-neck pirate shirt with a big #4 on it...bummer!). In the 80's, Ms. Marvel was a member of the FF for a long time (I wasn't reading in the 80's, so I'm vague on details), as was She-Hulk. So it's not actually a new thing. In general, I'm not against it, I just don't like the proposed line-up.
  2. I'm guessing all will be revealed in FEB at TOY FAIR. That will be our first real look at true HASBRO Legends. To my knowledge, Waves 1 and 2 are actually Toy-Biz-planned waves picked up by HASBRO. This may also be true of Wave 3 (anyone know for sure?). HASBRO should reveal Wave 3, as well as (hopefully) some of a "Wave 4" and (maybe) "Wave 5" at TOY-FAIR. Then we'll know for sure if the line will live or die. I'm guessing it will live. I haven't been blown away by what I've seen so far, especially from the wretched-looking Jean Grey, but TOY-BIZ did their fair share of clunkers, too (pretty much all of the SMC lines except for the villains, Scarlet Witch, over--size Bishop and Sinister, tiny l'il AoA Sabretooth, minstrel-show Luke Cage and his deformed hand, the scarcity of ML 6 and ML 7 figs, wolverines ad-nauseum, etc, etc...). Hopefully, HASBRO can eliminate distribution problems and quality-control issues. If they can do that, and produce a nice variety of figs, I think we'll be fine.
  3. All others pale in comparison to the perfectly done Black Widow.
  4. Don't blame HASBRO for Toy-Biz's screw-ups (and there were many screw-ups...paint apps, floppy joints, poorly constructed torsos, where do I start?). If there's a market for these figures as you describe them, then perhaps HASBRO will consider revising/releasing them. Otherwise, it's not likely. Sorry. Don't mean to be harsh, but there it is.
