  1. I like the Genosian fighter. Looks cool...maybe. I buy random Star Wars sets....
  2. It is definitely on my list, but I have other series to deal with first. Gonna start Gasaraki next week, but this could be delayed when Grand Theft Auto: Vice City comes out.............
  3. Ok, I've haven't seen this show....yet. I'm guessing it is good the way you guys talk about the figures. Is it fun like Cowboy Bebop? Does it have a greater, larger story-arc? Or is it more episodic?
  4. You mean the movie? I haven't seen the movie yet. I didn't want to spoil the TV series. But from what I read, I believe it is a condensed form of the series.
  5. Well, from the sounds of it and because it makes sense, Takara probably will be reissuing other bots in the meantime. There a lot of Autobot cars left to get to first. And, the Dinobots are a team of five, so instead of reissue two at once, there could be some effort to put all five out at once. I would think this would require time. On a side note: I voted for Grimmybaby because he is bada$$. But Swoop was sweet too. I'm surprised no one repainted a Transmetal Terrosaur into a Swoop.
  6. I just finished watching these two series, and both are good. To compare them would be unfair, but a quick review can't hurt! Escaflowne: Beautiful. The series is about a girl, Hitomi, who gets transported to another world, Gaea. Gaea is a world that is somewhat medieval, but with some amazing technology. The plot is excellent, with turns of twists, plenty of origins and barely any loose ends, if at all. The series is sweeping, so almost each episode ends in a cliffhanger of some sort, creating the idea of a HUGE flowing movie. Music is done by Yoko Kanno, the mind behind Cowboy Bebop's tunes. The art is excellent with a painted quality here and there. The computer effects don't mess with the show, either. SEE IT!!!!!! Blue Seed: Fun. Momiji is a regular girl in modern day Japan, which just became under attack by demons, the Aragami. She has the power to stop them, but it requires her as a human sacrifice! The series follows her and the government agency she teams up wth to stop the rampaging demons. The coolest thing about this show is that it is an ensemble show. Everybody shines, and you watch the character development of a lot of folks. SEE IT!!!!! Well, that's it....Next up: Gasaraki and Bubblegum Crisis 2040
  7. Before I really got into anime back in 95-97 or so, SciFi used to air anime movies on Saturday morning. I saw edited Akira, and Vamp Hunter D, and some others too......oh, like Dominion Tank Police.
  8. Years ago, my friend brought over Wicked City. But Evangelion got me into anime years later.
  9. and if bebop isn't bloody, it likes to show lots of dead people. for example, the episode with the truckers, Heavy Metal Queen, the Woody Allen looking criminal dies when he crashes his ship. you see his suffocated corpse...and that is light fare.
  10. They're pretty cool sometimes...it's like crystal, but not. The EW Gundam kits were relased as clear forms too. The 1/144's, that is. I have a "crystal" Serpent kit. The Wing Zero would have been cool.
  11. http://www.bzpower.com/ Check this site out. It is a good Bionicle site, lots of updates and links. They have some mobie links.
  12. I started a new job, let alone a real one, so while I have little expenditures still, I have some extra cash to blow for now.
  13. NGE is what got me really into anime. Read something about the "cool mechs from NGE" in an old Toyfare. So I bought the first two volumes on vhs (Eps 1-4) and watched it. Kinda slow, but I stuck through....and Voila! Amazing series, huge fan, and tons of dollars going to Best Buy to get more anime. This happened like 4 years ago or so.
  14. as Diesel essentially said, I just wanted the Spidey fig, but i wasn't gonna buy the whole set for him. too bad, they isn't a wholesale figure pack for members only. that would be nice, instead of the 500 window sets they sell.
  15. http://forums.animeondvd.com/dcforum/DCFor...mID5/581.html#7 I was aware of this thread, that's why I asked. But according to it, PS2 is ok. And you had no trouble also. So I'll pick it up soon, versus waiting for another pressing. I have it on vhs subtitle, but a real dvd with dub would be nice too. Most of the tv series voice actors are back I read. The same goes for Death and Rebirth, everything I just said that is.
  16. How are the DVDs? Not the movies, but the disc. I heard some players were having problems with both. Freezing, skipping, weirdness like that.
  17. the bionicle cd has me a little confused. from the sounds of it, it will be metal and rock. now, i bought a while ago the bionicle powerpack, which had a silver mask, villager figure, and a cd. the three tracks where techno/new age, they fit the whole idea of elemental warriors fighting evil. though biomechanical, there is a nature feel to the series, i think. so i like rock and all that stuff, but it kinda seems outta place here.
  18. That is mighty cool. a recent toyfare issue had pics of a 3.75 inch figure scaled blockade runner. thing fits on the back of a semi flatbed.
  19. That definitely qualified as an ending with a twist. Jupiter Jazz was cool too. Where Spike says, "Vicious?!? I'll show you viscious!" or something like that and goes wacko, to say the least.
  20. I think that episode is called Toys in the Attic.
  21. That was good. So was Black Dog Serenade and the one with the cowboy.
  22. Toyfare! They have that section with all the contacts to major companies....the balck book?, maybe. Write or call Bandai from there. Lots of the others seem to do it with Hasbro and TFs.
  23. Can you imagine if it was in scale with the blockade runner they built?
