Yeah, and it gets tricky. You need to be fast with reflexes to survive. It may not be easy for a younger kid.

Destructive games and driving ex. Twisted Metal titles GTA3 (VC for Xmas!) Devil May Cry Onimusha Res Evil titles etc. -
The game is definitely sweet. I rented it a while ago and was blasting everything. Unfortunatel I couldn't get past that one huge command pod with the legs (Shard or something...) before I had to return it.

I've played the first Red Faction. I loved that rail-driver and the infrared. When you shot somebody, they went from red/pink to a cold blue....sick! -
www.imageanime.com has the figures in for $20. I dunno if that is good or not, but I thought i'd let you know.
