  1. Just finished this a week ago; my custom Deep Sea Spartan. I really loved the green/steel paint job on the Halo 4 Walgreen's Exclusive C.I.O.. To me it gave the figure a cool aquatic look, so I played up the concept and made a custom deep sea Spartan. I did a helmet swap of the Halo Reach Walgreen's Exclusive JFO and mod it fit a Halo 4 body, then repainted it to match the C.I.O's paint job. Next I figured he would need a D.P.U. (Diver Propulsion Unit), so I made one that fits on his back using fodder from armor ZOID and few other model kits. I painted the top half of the D.P.U. a darker shade of grey/steel than the bottom half, which was painted to match the Spartan's armor. The ideas behind that, was to mimic how large fish usually have a lighter under belly then the rest of their bodies. Once the Spartan and his D.P.U. was complete I began working on the base. I designed the base to look like a hydrothermal vent, a "white smoker" to be exact. The lower half of the base/vent is made from left over parts from my Glow in the Dark ODST custom; so it's mostly plaster, hot glue, and paste (texture). While the pillar of smoke is made of numerous layers of hot glue parts; that fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. The sponges are made from "greenstuff" and the jelly fish are made from hot glue. I've never seen an aquatic base with jellies, so I figured why not try to make some. The octopus, I call him "Inky", is made of the same material as the lower have of the base/vent. Since octopus can change their color and texture to match their surroundings, Inky is painted the same color as the vent. The lower have of Inky, his sucker disks are painted a dark purple, because I thought red or pink would throw off the camo effect. For fun, I gave Inky a heavily battle damaged Master Chief helmet to play with; it was a left over from another custom project. The last thing I added to this base was a compartment for a mini blue flash light. Why a blue flash light, because most of the under sea pics of white smoker vents have a blue tint to them. In a dark room the glow effect is bright, but not too bright. So armed with his trusty Target Locator and with Guilty Spark's assistance through the aybss, this Deep Sea Spartan is ready for an undersea battle.
  2. Thanks it took a while to complete. Oh I forgot, I had a better shot of the base's light up feature.
  3. I made this custom last year. The Exclusive Gamestop Halo Reach ODST figure was nice, but given the yellow green color of the armor, I wished it would've glowed in the dark. So I made some adjustments and made a base for him. The base started out as a light up Cortana base. I sculpted over it with plaster, hot glue, some homemade paste, glow in the dark paint, foam, and flock.
  4. They're about the same size as the old 6" Marvel Legends figures.
  5. I got these in the mail today. I wasn't excepting to see these unitl May; anyway here's they are with Titanium Man from the first series. Least favorite to favorite figure: 4) War Machine (Finally I have this figure after two years of waiting and I'm glad to have it; however, enought with the Stealth Striker Armor parts please Hasbro. The original Stealth Striker was cool, Inferno Armor was evern better, Sandstrom was OK, and finally Initiative War Machine which is awesome and all really, but would've been even better if it was a 100% new sculpt like Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo.) 3) Evoluiton Armor (I'm going to call him Mainframe due to his armor color and I was planning to make a Mainframe custom; now I don't have to. Thanks Hasbro.) 2) Stealth (I love the paint job on this figure. Stealth armor Iron Man figures have never been my favorites, but his figure is amazing; thanks to the incredible paint job.) 1) Crimson Dynamo (Sculpt, paint, poseable WOW just WOW. The best figure in the set)
  6. The post lady just dropped this off. I ordered this Christmas day, from any online store located in Hong Kong. The shipping was killer, but it was worth it; since this line hasn't hit the US yet. Here's a few open pics. He has a ball joint / pivot neck, ball joint shoulders, pivot shoulder pads, double elbows, ab crunch, cut joint waist, cut/pivot wrist, Old School Marvel Legends up leg joints, double knees, pivot/ cut ankle joints. No stand hole on his back or under his feet. He has a cool pearlize lime green paintjob, but it shows up brighter in photos than it really is in person. Overall a great figure. Pics of the 2 Titanium Men
  7. Since I never found the KBToys exclusive figure, I made this figure to fill the gap in my Spider-Man collection. Ben is made from a Spider-Man figure and alot of sculpting putty. The ankle pouches, belt, web shooters, and hoodie complete with draw strings and knots were all sculpted from scratch.
  8. Its' all good. Now to wait for Titanium man to show up.
  9. I got lucky on Ebay. Since I rarely get lucky when I walk into Wal Mart. I bought this Sunday and it arrived this afternoon in the mail.
  10. Thanks for the heads ups. I didn't even know about this Limited Edition figure until I saw this thread. I picked up Limited Edition Silver Centurion on Ebay a few minutes ago. Oh yeah I picked up the MKII and MKIII last Wednesday at a comic book store. I just had to open the Mark III. And the Ironman Movie figures fit in nicely with both the Toybiz and Hasbro Marvel Legends figures. Now I just have to find the Wal-Mart War Machine.
  11. Hi, I'm new to this forum and I wanted to share some pics of my custom Angela figure. I wanted an updated Angela figure to go along with my favorite Spawn figure Spawn V. I know there are copyright problems surrounding this character and there are no chance of anyone getting a new Angela figure from McFarlane Toys, so I made one. I made Angela last summer using a Yamato 6 inch Poison Ivy figure, one metal pole from the Spawn Series 28 Spawn Vs Urizen boxset and a McFarlane's Monsters: Six Faces of MadnessAtilla The Hun's base and alot of Kneadatite Greenstuff epoxy putty. All of the tentacles on the base are made of epoxy putty, even the one going up Angela's leg. Yup, the sword and 9" lance are both removable.
