Two new characters have been announced for season 6; one part of the Superman mythos, one from the broader DCU. Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore) will show up in the season 6 premiere, Ollie Queen [a.k.a Green Arrow] (Justin Hartley) is slated for a multi-episode arc, possibly starting with ep 2 of the season.

Wasn't Aaron Ashmore a villian in season 1? Wasn't he the guy who accidentally stole Clark's powers when they both were struck by lightning, or am I thinking of someone else?

nope, his brother Shawn was in two episodes...Asylum and Leech as Eric Summers!! i'll pretend i knew that off the top of my head!! now Aaron gets to play Jimmy, i can see how that could get a little confusing!!
