I honestly hope Mattel starts building the Legion early so they can get more than the big three out. That 90's Legion costume design always looked really good to me and I'd love to see that era get built out in figure form.

Aztek looks... weird. Lack of neck and the shoulder pads don't seem right. Shame - I'd like to pick him up.

I can't believe I ordered Saturn Girl.  That smirk is just awful . . . but the rest of the figure isn't bad.

My eyes will never adjust for the McFarlame articulation aesthetic...all those awkward cuts & anti-anatomical joints & weird wavy lines & sweater texturing. 🫣

I concur on the early start with the Legion! But I hope Mattel builds on where they left off and gets us the rest of the classic 80s Levitz/Giffen team not previously released: Shadow Lass, Mon-El, Phantom Girl, "Hot Pants" Kara, Princess Projectra, Light Lass, Shrinking Violet, Dawnstar, Tyroc, Element Lad, Sun Boy, Duo Damsel, Bouncing Boy, Dream Girl, White Witch, Blok, both Invisible Kids, Chemical King, Ferro Lad. Of course, I'd love the "new kids", too: Polar Boy, Tellus, Quislet, Magnetic Kid, Night Gilr, Chamelon Girl. And the Subs! I fella can dream, right?

What I don't need/want are updates on the previously released figures (those 12-pack sculpts & single release Starboy/man were solid & still hold up IMO). Or worse yet, figures from any of the Reboot Legions. At least not until the original team is finished. But I get that we all have our own likes.

Here's hoping for a long and inspired span of Mattel releases!

Mixed feelings on this. On the one hand, I really like the look of that Grundy, and as someone who missed out on the BAF Grundy, I've really wanted them to make a comics version for my collection. On the other hand, I basically already have that Alan Scott, just with a plastic cape. And usually I prefer a cloth cape to a plastic one, but that's only with the wire. I was hoping for at least a new head sculpt or something. Maybe he'll come with some cool, new construction accessory, but I doubt it. I might eventually pick it up for Grundy if it doesn't instantly sell out, but I'm not gonna bother pre-ordering it

Grundy with a tie? I absolutely hate muscle bound Grundy. He's a zombie, his strength is supernatural. Also that is not how Scott's boots look. It was some weird way they had shoes way back then. It's not decoration.

Mr. Grundy looks so dapper in that tie, like a testosterone-fueled funeral director. I already have the BAF version, but not this version of the lantern, so it might be worth considering.

Interesting choice to kick off the late Spring/early Summer wave with a 2-pack of Solomon Grundy & Green Lantern retro. I do like the Solomon Grundy figure, while the Green Lantern one is rather uninspired. Oh well, so many re-releases from the McFarlane Vault & new figures to come before the end of the license in December.

Mattel will start over and not continue what they had before and thank God for that. DCUC aged horribly. They need to do DCUC again except modernize the articulation and the sculpts and paint have to be as good as Mxfarlane’s best. The kids line look terrible next to their Mcfarlane counterparts but I like a lot of what is in MOTU Chronicles and the two lines will share parts so hopefully they make something that’ll still hold up 10+ years from now.

The amount of people who think that Mattel will magically make figures with incredible articulation, sculpting, and paint (especially at a reasonable price) just because they are upset about McFarlane, is laughable. 😆
