Milly Alcock got hosed here.  Every time McFarlane does a Supergirl, I have hope we might get a decent head for at least one of these Supergirl bodies.  But it hasn't happened yet.  The best head is still arguably Supergirl Rebirth (Target exclusive), but that was back during McFarlane's "squinty eyes" period so it's just so-so.

I think we have one or two more chances (Benoit is coming at some point).

Edit: There is a small chance that a longer neck peg will help.

These mostly look pretty good i think. Spacehog doesn't look as cool as the comic version and looks like there might be some photoshop bs going on with the scale. It looks noticably bigger in the promo pics or maybe its the other way around and it just looks smaller in that one shot with the figure on it.

I think they look great but all McFarlane Movie stuff does for the most part.

I'll buy Krem for sure. Probably pass on the rest. Might pick up the Space Hog but it's so underwhelming compared to the comic version that I already have from McF.

Poor Supergirl's head sculpt makes her look like the feral kid from mad max in a dirty blonde wig.

I was thinking Cha-Ka, but I definitely see that too. Oof.

I can't be sure, but that Benoit Supergirl looks like a repainted Target exclusive Supergirl Rebirth.

No, it's not that one, but it looks a lot like it. It doesn't have a zipper on the front, you know?

Lobo looks pretty good—it’s nice that he has two heads, but he really would have looked better with a fabric coat (especially since he doesn’t even have sleeves). Maybe there’ll be a version without the coat later, but the motorcycle looks pretty low-budget; in the comics, they draw it much more impressively. (I’m talking about the movie visuals here, not this game.) Poor Supergirl has been really disfigured with that chin and neck. It’s like something’s stuck in her throat, as if they borrowed her chin and neck from Superman. Is there really no one at the company who looks these over and says, “This isn’t right, do something about it”? By the way, her body is tolerable, but I think the face of the one in the stiff cape is better (just a little). I see more positives in the TV series Supergirl; maybe the feet look a little big, but otherwise it’s not too bad. I wonder if they’ll make the long-pants version from the final season too, maybe in Platinum?

Easy pass on the 'with coat' Supergirl. Not sure which of the two 'regular' ones I'll go with - looks to me like it's different faces entirely between those two releases and I'm not that worried about getting puppy Krypto, so it may just come down to which is cheaper and more readily available. Typical McFarlane approach there, though - a good option would have come with *all* the faceplates and all tha hands, but nope...

Lobo looks pretty good (helps that he plays into all McFarlane's strengths and proclivities anyway) and it is nice to see that we're getting his spacehog since that's such an integral part of his look anyway, plus vehicles are fun. Krem I know nothing about, so I assume he's going to be a pegwarmer and an easy pick up down the road.

Man, 3 releases of the same figure just with different accessories (and slightly different faces, none particularly good) all at once means these things are going to be everywhere, and not in a good way.

Does the 26.99 Supergirl have a plastic cape? That is how the Superman film figures were done.

Edit: Looking at all the pics I could find, it almost certainly has a plastic cape. That makes the decision on which figure to get kind of easy.

I might end up cancelling or returning any movie Supergirls I get, but I still think an extended neck peg might work wonders.

And that's part of the reason I'm not sorry to see Mattel picking up the license.

Me neither.  There were some hits here and there, I won't pretend that there weren't, but overall this line has been a tsunami of squandered potential. Death by a million corner-cuts. Or maybe it's a million Batmen.  But anyway.  That Benoist Supergirl is a real letdown.  I had my fingers crossed at least that one might turn out well.

On paper, Krem is the last figure I would have thought would be worth getting, I have zero familiarity with the character, but design-wise, he's got a little something to him.  Looks like he wandered off the set of the Chronicles of Riddick. Might pick him up when he meets his inevitable destiny in the clearance aisle.
