Robert Englund Joins the Twisted Childhood Universe in Pinocchio: Unstrung Trailer

The creators of Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey have returned with another dark story for their Twisted Childhood Universe (TCU), this time giving Pinocchio a violent reimagining. In Pinocchio: Unstrung, horror veteran Richard Brake stars as Geppetto, introducing viewers to a sinister version of Pinocchio, who must murder his way to becoming real. Guided by an evil Jiminy Cricket—voiced by Freddy Krueger icon Robert Englund—Pinocchio sets out on a chilling killing spree, turning his wish for life into a nightmare.

The TCU already includes several beloved characters beyond Winnie-the-Pooh (which is preparing for a third Blood and Honey film). In 2025, Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare and Bambi: The Reckoning expanded the franchise’s interconnected world of public domain characters. This shared world is leading up to a planned crossover film called Poohniverse Monsters Assemble.

Love the cheesy gore stuff, it has a very 80's B-movie vibe and a bit of Puppet Master flavor.
